The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own.

You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose.
The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

BOSS FIGHT | TEA GARDENS | SINGLE THREAD, NO ORDER
It appears as a collection of broken, colourful shapes, moving as one entity and constantly shifting its appearance - squares, triangles, circles and much stranger things floating in abstract arrangements.
Constantly and chaotically on the move, it flits from place to place seemingly at random. Thinking fast to get it to stay in one place, where it can be herded and hit, is paramount.
For now, it buzzes and hums in the tea gardens, gliding over the flowers for all the world like a normal swarm of bees. It seems somewhat pacified...for the moment. ]

[She didn't mean to topple a tree. The passing thought that struck her had been along the lines of 'I want that leaf' and the entire thing seemed to pull and twist and turn until it fell to the ground with a loud slam, shaking the ground under her feet.
But she did get her leaf, at the sacrifice of the whole tree, which is something. It's pretty?? Definitely pretty. And with the entire thing toppled to the ground, she tries to pull a bunch of leaves off with Kravitz's wild ass power. Tries and fails horrifically, as she gets a couple floating in the air, and abruptly 'drops' them the second her eyes catch something else.
And uh oh, that's a pretty big rock in the air? She didn't mean to do that, maybe? Maybe she did? It doesn't matter because now it's floating over the fallen tree, like it has a mind of its own. And it kind of does, because hers is all over the place as she-
Spots some shiny shells in the sunlight through the foliage and the rock slams into the ground as she suddenly wants those instead. Anyone passing by the beach might see some shells just floating in thin air. She's working on it, okay? Don't take them.]

Whether it's the temple or islets or maybe she's somehow found her way back home, she is suddenly on your roof, clutching the sides of it because while she isn't afraid of heights, this wild ass teleporting is keeping her on her toes. [When Genji wakes up one more, it’s immediately apparent that something is horribly amiss. You see, Genji isn’t used to feeling the wind in his hair, or the sun on his skin. He’s used to those sensations being dulled by the metal and plastic that make up most of his body, so actually being able to feel is...Well. Weird. Weirder still is the fact his hair is so long, and his body feels...off.
He looks down at himself, and. Well. That’s not a view you see everyday.
Anyone familiar with Erika will notice how strange she’s acting that day, because Genji and Erika couldn’t be farther apart. He’s never met the woman and has no idea what’s happening, but he’s at least not panicking. He heard the stories of strange things happening, and that’s. Fine.]

[He’s heard stories of men that become beasts during the night of the full moon, but he never put much stock into it. You would think, with the reality of the Shimada dragons, he’d be more inclined to believe in fantasies, but he’d never once considered that those stories could be real.
Which is why when the night sets and he changes, he’s surprised. Shocked. Confounded.
People can run across a large, canid beast, that upon seeing them tilts its head and lets out...a boof.]

Amaterasu | OTA
[The morning on Enso finds itself...rather peaceful, for Amaterasu. She can feel the warmth of the sun, hear the wind through the palms, the buzzing of insects... or all intents and purposes, it seems pretty much like any other day. A little cold, but most mornings are a bit chillier than they are when the sun meets its zenith. It's only when Ammy tries to get up from her spot beneath the small line o cherry blossom trees outside the Monkey Compound do things become very clear.
Something is afoot, and she'd been affected by it. The moment she tries to stand, Amaterasu can feel her body posture is wrong, and inadvertently falls right on her face. A wave of white...fur? No, it's hair. Hair covers her face and she tries to shake it away, rolling over with growls and whines, batting it away with...arms. Long, fleshy, human arms. She looks down at herself, realizing those fleshy human arms aren't the only thing she's got. Bare as a naked babe, the Great Goddess has been transformed from a majestic white wolf into a naked, somewhat dusty, human woman.
This is fine.
Shifting her eyes around, because what the heck yo, Ammy slaps her palm over the trunk of the nearest tree and tries to get up. Her knees buckle, the rocks and grit under her soles pinch and poke...and she looks very uncomfortable. How do humans deal with these long, turkey-like legs? They don't bend right, and the wiggly peapods on their feet are so...eugh. shaking, and looking like the most irritated creature on the planet, Ammy slowly pushes herself from the tree and tries to take a step. She looks like a newborn horse, getting used to its limbs, and makes exactly two steps before she doubles over and lands on her forearms. Ouch. Maybe...maybe she ought to just try the old fashioned way - all fours.
...Yeah, wow, nope, nuh-uh. Human spines don't really works like that. Well, no. It...works? But it's slow-going and makes her back ache something fierce. It's also probably the most horrific sight anyone passing by might see...a naked, dirty woman with tangled white hair, scratched up forearms with wild, flame-like red tattoos covering her shoulders, face, and back, lizard crawling toward them and grunting like a demon.]

ii. EXTEND LEGGY
[Dear gods, thank gods, by the third day, Ammy wakes to see that she's no longer human. Relief sets in before she realizes, as she looks over herself, that she's still not quite back to normal. She's canine again!! Thankfully, but where her back legs should stop, they just...continue. On and on they go, continuing into an almost serpent like body - fuzzy and soft, but with far, far too many legs. She can just barely make out where her rump is, the distant wag of her tail down a good several yards. Why? Why is this her life? I mean...it's better than human human - that shit was TERRIBLE and she has a new respect for each and every humanoid out there - but this is just too much.
Ammy, now reduced into a new form of Enso's famed Centipuppies, creeps her way to her usual places. It's..awkward. Not as awkward as two legs, and she can move surprisingly faster than even a normal pace, but it's still weird to get used to all of her limbs moving in succession. You know what? Maybe she ought to just go to sleep for the whole week and not wake up. Make this bullcrap someone else's problem for once.
...But she does still need to eat. Bah. Oh well, like she said, this new form isn't that bad, it's just different. One might see the form o the white wolf coming from the underbrush to go scavenging on the beach...before the rest of her long, long body comes trailing out like an endless cylinder of fur and legs. It's disconcerting, certainly, but at the least the wolf's personality hasn't seemed to change, unlike some. She's still approachable and friendly.]

But she does take advantage of her newfound fun little power and uh. Maybe just portals out of this lady's direct line of sight, repoofing a little further away and off the side because what the hell.
Does she say anything? This lady looks hurt? Maybe that's why she's crawling like that? Her legs might not work right and from her new position, the tattoos blur into an image that looks like they cold be blood, which is bad.]

[If one is anywhere near Islet 3 just off the shore there is a sudden surge of water. A large black scaled dragon foot shoots out of the water and is followed by the rest of the dragon. His wings unfurl like boat sails and flap sending a gust of wind out. He shakes himself and water goes everywhere.
Probably on you if you're anywhere near. If one is observation they'll notice a scar marring the right side of the dragon's face.
Keith puts one foot over the bridge of his snout and his violet eye shifts to regard you.]
Sorry. Didn't think about it. Way too used to not needing to worry who gets soaked.

[A large shadow darkens the land. Keith angles himself with a flap and misjudges his flight path. He goes right into the trees. At first, the trees hold his weight. They give way with a snap as branches break and the large black dragon goes through the foliage with a curse. The ground shakes slightly as he hits it with a thump.
He lays there for a moment partly curled out of instincts from childhood that curling up meant less pain. Slowly he stretches himself out and rolls onto his feet. Keith keeps his wings tucked close to his body. Since he woke up as a dragon he has spent a lot of time trying to learn flight and his wings.
Odd that he has the same limits as a jetpack. Keith thrusts his head out from under the trees and sighs.] What isn't weird here?

[The clown box isn't finished with Keith. As he heads for the fight with honeybee sledgehammer braced against his shoulder he looks entirely different. His ears come to fine points, his skin a shade of violet and eyes glowing yellow. His fingers are naturally clawed and his hair takes on a bright violet tinge to it.
Dark purple markings mark the sides of his face, the right side marred by his face scar. He pauses to look at you and his pupils are slitted like a cat's.]
Let's go back over what we were told before we go.

She really misses her own body.
She's not the only one who's dealing with changes... but she doesn't particularly like that more people are affected. For all the weirdness that comes with this body, she thinks there are others who must have it worse. In other words, she hopes it goes back to normal soon.

[Héctor wakes up in an actual hammock, for a change. Usually he flops down on the great big fuzzy cat buddy, who's become far too big to fit in his hammock with him. Well, it's not strange enough to pay it any mind by itself, but... there's something on his back, like a very heavy blanket. That is odd. It's also strangely hard to roll over. He pushes himself up instead, and so he notices his much thicker arms are now... red and furry. And his hands are clawed. Aaand he's flailing out of the hammock, immediately in panic mode.]

[There he goes, shouting so loudly he's already hurting his brand new, horribly sensitive ears. He's off to a great start.]

[Plenty of restless energy, real muscles, not much to do other than wait this mess out... so he's chosen to make his way over to the farming islet. By foot (hoof?), not by air. This morning, however, would be difficult for a different reason.
The small pog had woken up in his usual way, snuggled up in the makeshift bed that would have been where Sayoko slept, if she were still around. He could still feel his bond with his Slammer, but it was a bit faded, as if Tachibana were halfway across the islands. This wasn't unusual in and of itself, as midnight walks sometimes lasted well past dawn when Tachibana was especially under heavy worries.
The trouble was... he could see Tachibana. Asleep. On the bed next to him.
Garren shot up to his feet, hands going to his mask in alarm as he stared at the sleeping figure. How...?!

He jerked fully upright, eyes flashing around. This definitely was no where he had fallen asleep. While that wasn't a completely unusual experience in this Tophet-like place, this was different. It felt like someone else's home.

[One morning, all of a sudden, she doesn't exactly come to consciousness.
Beau's native world doesn't have electricity, or AIs, or anything more technologically advanced than a flintlock pistol- it makes it hard to describe the sudden on from off, like a switch flicking. If she had to find the words for it, it's like the crack of a punch, the snap moment from nothing to pain. But this doesn't hurt. It actually feels... mostly like nothing.
She sits up from her bed in a start, met not with the rustle of fabric of the feeling of her own skin but through a slightly metallic grind, a scrape of plastic on plastic that makes her instinctively look at her hands. Except they're not her hands, they're hands from a blue mechanized suit she doesn't understand. She's even-- stuck in it, it feels like? Can she--
No. It feels like her. The whole thing feels like her.]
What the fuck.
[She says it to no one in particular, but even her voice sounds filtered, and that's enough to cause her to go leaping out of bed and out onto islet 1, out of the new cottage half the Nein have moved into and over to the water so she can look at herself... or well, not herself.
This time, she speaks much louder.]

[Alright, so there are perks to this. She doesn't feel hunger, or fatigue- there's no need to pause to eat and no sweat on her brow. Even if this body isn't hers and the muscles don't have the exact memory of her arms and legs, she still has a certain amount of movement and finesse so she's not without a way to defend herself. It's still weird, though. Still damn weird, frankly.
But as far as she figures, this is an opportunity to do something she doesn't usually get to do. It's like a polymorph- possibly inconvenient, but temporary. Time to take this body for a spin. Which is why she's running around Enso, finding the tallest thing she can climb, and then jumping off it to roll to the floor in a mess of scraping plastic and metal. She gets up just fine though, her voice in a laugh coming through filtered with a speaker loud and clear.]
Okay, okay, I can admit-- that's fucking great.
[Beau pulls herself to her feet, a little muttering under her breath to herself, though anyone nearby who saw-- or heard-- that stunt can probably hear it as they approach.]
None of it looks broken. It's probably fine.

[He almost doesn't notice at first. It's not every day he has to use his magic here, and since Io has been so calm, he's hardly needed any of his resources. But he notices a few hours after awakening, when he tries to idly call his book to him to note something down, and it just doesn't happen.
Kravitz flexes his hands, opening them in a practiced and smooth motion, but nothing happens. His brow furrows, trying it again a few more times, before simply looking around and staring very intently at a rock on the ground.
Nothing happens, again, and he looks progressively more worried. Was his connection to the Raven Queen finally cut? Is he far enough that he cannot find her in the extension of his will, if he concentrates, concentrates--
But he does feel something. It's like the sense he gets when undead are nearby, and he may be unarmed by he has a duty, even if it might be more spurred more by anxiety than much else. So he follows it quickly, winding around until he finds... whoever you are. It leaves him to squint, just looking more confused.]

[Once he's gotten the hang of everything, it isn't much better. Kravitz has spent so long in control of his own abilities, suddenly having his senses replaced- and with emotions of all things when he's around people that don't usually make him exhausted- is putting him off pace. Part of him is just angry at himself for getting complacent, thinking he should have really known that any new island couldn't be as peaceful as it seems. Part of him is just tired of the same things happening over and over again that he can't control.
Mostly though, he just has a headache. He knows how to manage thoughts in his head or projecting them to others, but as it turns out feeling things is much more mentally taxing, and he cares too much about the people he lives with to keep sitting there. So he slides into the library just to find somewhere quiet, though he'll absolutely know if someone's approaching like this. Kravitz can be found sitting near the back in an empty chair, a book in his hand he isn't precisely reading even if he's making an attempt-- one he abandons when someone walks in, and his eyes shift from down to up.]
I hate to say this, but please... endeavor to be calm here, alright? This is supposed to be a quiet place.
[Not as if that's any explanation, but he feels it's probably the easiest way to make things less awkward.]

[Try looking for one Agent Washington, if you want. Go ahead. Try it. All you'll find are the tumbled shells of his armor, seemingly cast-off, and no sign whatsoever of the man they belong to. Because the man currently isn't a man at all. Not in the strictest sense.]
[Right now, he looks a little different. Picture the meanest, most grizzled, most battle-scarred, wind-beaten tabby tomcat you can imagine, and give him yellow eyes lidded into what appears to be a perpetual scowl, ears shredded with countless v-shapes nicked into the skin, and you might have a pretty good visual on Agent Washington's current state.]
[Moving around on all fours is a humiliating enough experience without the addition of realizing he can no longer speak. At least, not English. Anyone who can interpret a cat's meows might be able to communicate, but for now? You're going to have to contend with the fact that there's an unfamiliar stray tabby slinking around on the islands - darting underfoot, trying not to think too hard about how he's walking, and just generally getting in the way.]

Ignis Scientia | OTA
[There is a certain routine at the cottage in the mornings. Generally, Ignis wakes up, goes outside to greet the day with Leo and then heads back inside to spend some time with Ardyn. This morning should be no different except, when stretching, Ignis hears what sounds like claws ripping cloth. He turns his head to scold Leo--because who else could it be even though the tigerlily is trained far too well for such things--but freezes when he opens his eyes and realizes he can see. Not only that, he can see that it's his paws that are tearing into the bed's pillow.
The sound that comes from the bedroom next is loud enough that people passing outside of the cottage can hear it, never mind those inside of it. It's the strangest mix of growl, roar, and disturbed whine that anyone can imagine followed by a loud thump as Ignis tries to bolt off the bed and only succeeds in most ungracefully rolling himself out of it instead, because how does one make all these legs work together????
Should someone come to check out the noise, they will find an unfamiliar tigerlily crouched on the floor with his paws over his head almost as if he is trying to hide.
Oh, this isn't happening. This so isn't happening!]

[It takes a day or so for Ignis to get the hang of all his new limbs, but once he does, it heads out cautiously from the cottage to see what, if anything, he can do to fix this mess in his current form. Thank whatever deities are listening that the mana pool still works for him like this, even though talking is a lost cause. He's worked out a few signals with Ardyn, but how well they will work with others is yet to be seen. At the very least, he hopes the skull necklace around his furry neck and the bracelet on his front leg will help give away he's not just another resident tigerlily. If he's lucky, people may even recognize the pale markings in the petals and fur around his eyes as near copies of the scars that are usually on his face.
Of course, others can only recognize them if Ignis lets them see him and increasingly, he's been feeling the urge to Stalk. And. Pounce. No matter how many times he tells himself that a surprise 'hug' from a friendly tigerlily is a horrible idea for 99.5% of those in the island, he just can't drive the urge away for long.
This is going to end badly. So badly, and then he is going to end that Clown Box just as badly.]

[Ignis had hoped that he would be back to his normal form by this point, but he is making do with what he has, and what he has is a Honeycomb Sledgehammer held tightly in his mouth. He'd almost defaulted to his usual flaming daggers before realizing that would be a very bad idea considering his current form. Sledgehammer it is, even if he's not quite sure how well it will work when held in his mouth. If nothing else, he can always drop it and rely on the teeth and claws he's been given in this form.
Don't mind the tigerlily heading in the direction of the battle with the singular focus of a man who is about to give a Clown Box a very bad day. He knows what he's doing.

Allura | OTA
[Allura has been a very good princess. She has not taken anything she hasn't earned. Tempting as a few things might have been. She hasn't even run into the Box save for spying him around a tree trunk every once in a while and raising an eyebrow (while trying not to shriek as it disappeared and reappeared closer). Thus waking up like this is a... well.
One hell of a quiznacking shock might be a tick of an understatement.
It's just a normal, early morning of wanting to sleep in but the sun is peeking through and there's a familiar whine of her tigerlily friend Juni as they nudge at her with her nose. Though this particular whine has a note of distress that registers through the sleepy haze. Then she wakes, and- why is it cold in here why is she hungry oh ancients why is everything so fucking TALL.
Allura raises an arm to rub at her eyes to reveal that it's now a wing. A vine-covered wing covered with a wide variety of blooms. Most of them a shade of pink or white. She blinks, and suddenly she gets picked up by the tail "feathers" by Juni. A hoot of protest escapes before she 's tossed onto the tigerlily's back and is, quite suddenly, finding a need to hold onto the vines on her back with her toes.
What is going on anymore. She doesn't even, but mmm, sun... Don't mind her basking in it and offering a thankful chirp. Juni's likely to carry her all around the islands looking for someone to help. Her strange alien friend is an arboreali and she doesn't like it.]
2. I believe I can flyyyy...
[Flight's been something Allura has missed deeply. The jetpack on her armor only lasts so long and it's been even longer than she cares to admit to feeling the breeze on her face. Considering most of the time it has been deep space flights, there isn't any wind to be had nor would it have been a good idea to go without a helmet. Here? Yesss please, more sun and more wind.
You know? This might not actually be so bad. Is a brief thought Allura has before, quite suddenly, her wings begin to ache and she realizes her error. So she lets the leftover lift of the air and momentum carry her gently lower as she aims to land on a low-lying branch.
Aims to. She might just accidentally get too tired and flop right into someone. If so she hoots apologetically. With a side of Regrets.]
3. Enter: Adult Purple Woman
[Okay she was starting to get used to the whole flight and floral wings thing. Then she wakes up a few mornings after, and-
That certainly is a wet nose against the small of her back- wait, she has one of those again? Oh, thank the Ancients! Is she back to normal? That's when Juni whines a similar note of distress she did back when she became an arboreali and Allura gives pause. "Mm? What is it Juni?" is muttered and goodness, her throat feels scratchy. Allura rolls onto her back and sits up. Juni whines again, and Allura blearly glances at her, noting 'huh. it's a tick brighter than usual,' before she reaches up to brush hair out of her face.
Purple hair. With a very lavender, very clawed hand.
Understandably, she freezes. She stares at it for a moment with wide, slightly glowing eyes as she tries to change to her usual shape and nothing happens. She can't change. She can't do anything but stare at her flexing fingers for a brief moment before shrieking.] whAT THE FUCK?!
[Somewhere else on the islands, a certain someone is likely (not) having regrets for teaching her Earthling swears. For those on Islet 3, she... may have just woken people up. Oops.]
4. Island's haunted *shifts bayard to lance*
[Okay. Okay. She handled shapeshifting into a similar form briefly for an infiltration mission ages ago. She can handle this. Granted, the last time was of her volition. Not against her will.
The fortunate thing, nearly all her clothing still fits. And when in doubt, her Paladin armor will at least change to fit her current form. She breathes out one more time, and walks out of the cover of the trees. She may even hang out near the manapools and look at her own reflection in it as though it were foreign. To be fair, it is. The only thing that remains the same is the slight pink slits of her pupils and the angle of her jaw. The rest is, quite literally, Galran -- even the ears. Only the blue bayard at her hip, the green bracer, and recently regained tiara might be familiar to those who know her, but Ancients...
This is a Mess. And one she is wanting to remedy soon. Mostly because she doesn't like her body changing when it isn't her own natural biology. Don't mind the tall, purple alien with a blue spear stalking the forests for a certain box. If she sees someone, she'll shift to an at ease position and wave.]

[There is, on the morning of the 17th, outside the house typically inhabited by Guzma and Lillie, an intense conversation happening between a flowccus and a cottonball made of stardust. It consists entirely of desperate bleating and cheerful trills in response, until the sheep-like living garden simply lays down in the sand and stares into the distance. This might as well happen. This might as well be her fate.
Anyone getting close enough might notice a few things that are odd about this flowccus, though. For one, every flower on its body is white or yellow in color. For another, it appears to have two braids of dandelions and buttercups that are just long enough to drag along in the sand in a highly irritating fashion.
And Nebby isn't very helpful, despite what it seems to think. It's trying to show Lillie how to play in the sand. Perhaps it's just trying to help her get used to her new body by insisting she move and practice manipulating her limbs. Lillie does not have an interest in this avenue of activities.
She tries her best to voice her discomfort and confusion to anyone who walks by, but instead bleats pitifully. Thanks, Clown Box.]

[When she gets her body back, Lillie feels...different, somehow. Where she used to see friends, she sees idiots and nuisances. The once quaint homes on Enso's islets seem shoddy at best, only good for picking them clean of supplies or hassling the inhabitants for sport. It's as if a whole new world has opened up before her. A world of mischeif and spite.
So catch her rummaging through your house, not sporting her usual attire but instead decked out in jeans and a tank top and lacking her signature hat. Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail, with the braids still hanging free. If she had chewing gum she'd be snapping it in an irritating fashion just to be a brat. In her current state, Lillie sees nothing wrong with this.
Nebby is nowehere to be seen, curiously enough. Wonder what that's about.]

[It's hard to stay optimistic when every breath feels like it's crushing her into the ground. Walking, moving, standing-she's not used to having a body that seems to hit the betray button at every turn. It's impossible to talk, which is perhaps the single greatest issue she's having right now, slowly ambling around the woods looking for some kind of witch that can change her back.
After all, Cent would never recognize her like this! What if she runs into him now, of all times? That would be the absolute worst.
But she's not alone-the buzzing, mechanical fairy at her side practically reads her mind as she slowly, slowly, slowly makes her way to somewhere, hoping to find her body again. Any passerbys are going to be met with an erratic wave of her hand. Some of you might recognize them.]

[Really, it's a question of just how much is different. Presumably warm-blooded creature that they are, the fact that their body temperature is now far cooler than normal is the first sensation to come swimming back to them - along with the realization that their entire body does not ache with the inexorable pressure of an ever-present terminal illness. Their throat does not contract with every swallow, swollen and ravaged as the tissue has become over time. They can breathe, unimpeded. They can stand, and move, and blink, and breathe, and - ]

[Their proportions are all different. There's the weight of long, flowing locks down their back, large horns jutting from their skullout in uneven curled bands of candy-orange stripes, heavy fangs hooked out in devilish curls. Their apparel is both decadent and looks as though it may have been in a scrap of some kind, torn and ragged as it is around the edges. A sense of wonder creeps up into the hollow of their chest, slowly.]

[When the Drifter finally gets a look at themself, a reflection rippling in the nearest pool of water, they're in for quite a shock.]
[Gone is their sprite, the chime of its presence, the accessibility of its HUD, of the text. Panic is the next thing to slam into their ribs, absolute.]
[It's fortunate that Marvus Xoloto has the ability to flash step his way across the islands, because the Drifter exploits that exact capacity now. It's the only thing they can recognize - speed. They have to return to their body. They have to figure out what's gone wrong.]
[A horned clown dashing madly around the islands willy-nilly in an apparent panic is probably a sight to behold in and of itself. Just don't startle them. They haven't realized that Marvus has a swordcane, but once they do, they certainly won't be afraid to use it.]
[To say nothing of the chucklevoodoos. They haven't realized they have those either.]
[Adjusting takes time. But once the initial panic dies down, the Drifter's ability to navigate their new surroundings without the biting numbness of perpetual exhaustion and body-wide chronic pain is...it is a rarity. They intend to take advantage of it. Trying to climb the trees on Io, or descending into the winery's cellars to peruse that which they can actually drink without regard for their health...]
[They're not used to speaking, though. Any attempts to strike up conversation will probably result in sign language, unless you're kind enough to point out that they technically have vocal cords right now.]

Like drinking. Should they really be trying to drink wine? No. Should they be starting with something basic and less poisoning, like water? Yes. But it's funny how much wisdom one loses when put in a brain that runs over a million times slower and emotions have gone from consensus errors to powerful chemical sensations. They were curious about alcohol and why organics liked it, and so decided they might as well have a taste.
This isn't going well, mostly beceuse they can't bring themselves to swallow.

Agent Carolina (Jester Lavorre's body) | OTA
[Carolina does awake alert, that sense of something off, and as she rolls in her bed, she acknowledges that this is most certainly not her room. Why the heck she is, well, where ever she is, she has no idea, and as she brings her hand up to brush at her bangs, said hand freezes.
Blue.
Her skin is blue. Completely blue, she notes, as she turns her arm around, and yes, so is the rest of her. What in the hell... Flowers out of her lungs is one thing, as that least Wash had known how to deal with that, but what is this? It's not like it's coming off as she tries to rub at it.
Whatever it is, it isn't her room, and Carolina does a quick scan, before noting an exit. Whether it is a vacant cottage or not, it isn't one that she'd been in before. Grabbing something to put on, she slips it over her head- only no, what is- She's hopping around on one foot, attempting to figure out what is going on and praying to whatever that no one is around.
It's horns, she notes, oddly shaped horns, and just what is this body? It's not that she is a stranger to aliens, given the whole war, and here she has met other species, but she literally has no idea what is happening. There might be a little tear as she finally tugs the shirt down, but it's good, it's fine, and off she goes, pausing for a moment, before going out the window. It's not her body though, and the height difference has her tripping, landing on the ground with a loud oof.]

[Fucking graceful. But she's up, dusting her clothes off, before trying to gather where she is. Is Wash having the same problem? Maine and Tex? Even Church? With a huff, she straightens, before setting out.]
[Her strides are long, or as long as they can be in this shorter body. Purposeful, certainly. She does feel slightly ridiculous, although Carolina knows that it’s all in her head. It’s a body, with two hands and two feet, and it’s not forever. So she just needs to make it through this.
There is a small frown on her face, a furrow in her forehead as she makes her way over the islands. She’s more or less gotten the hang of the body, determination on her features as she walks. She’s still debating whether she should look in at her own place to figure out if anything is up there, or attend on the cottage where the rest live. She’s not going to fit in her armour, anyway, and this body is built differently from her own, which does make her antsy. That short temper is shorter still, which is why anyone that does catch her eyes gets a high pitched.]

[Like plenty of other people on the island and their dog, Zidane had freaked out when he woke up not only in a body that was not his but also he had felt the strange sensation of……well, almost no sensation at all. However, because he was the type to always look for a solution instead of sitting and panicking, he calmed down very quickly. There was a very good chance that something funny was going on like last month.
And so Zidane went out of his cottage. Immediately, he came across his lorby, Blank, who looked at him curiously and started inspecting him….or rather, someone who seemed to be that robot girl Penny Poledina.]
Uh…..hey, buddy. It’s me, Zidane! Do you uh……recognise me?

[Well, he had to feed Blank. No matter what his state. Sure, Blank could feed himself but they were friends. So after Zidane had finished cooking two pieces of meat on the little camp fire he made and let them cool down, he tossed the bigger portion to his pet lorby. And then started eating his own portion.
And as he did so, his eyes widened in shock and he dropped his piece on the ground.]

[ It's not the first time that Maine has found his body suddenly aged, becoming heavily scarred and incapable of speech. But this time, it's not just his body. This time, he gains two years worth of memories — and they're not pleasant at all.
To Maine, the memories are secondary to the pain in his head. He's frequently found with his shoulders hunched and his eyes closed, one hand resting over the dataport at the base of his skull. Other times it seems to hit him out of nowhere, causing him to grimace and reach up to clutch his head.
When he's not visibly in pain, Maine practically radiates an unfriendly aura. Far from offering to help others, he's now more likely to glare at anyone who attempts to approach. ]

[ Say hello to a fucking giant smoky werewolf thing. This creature is absolutely massive, easily standing ten feet tall and built like … well, like Maine: a tank. Its glowing red eyes, gleaming teeth, and razor sharp claws are enough to send any sane person scampering…
But those who don't immediately flee may notice that the creature isn't attacking. Those glowing eyes appear eerily intelligent, and it frequently does things like stand on its hind legs and gesture with its front paws.
Perhaps it's trying to communicate? ]

It's not the first time that the Meta has woken up disoriented. It happens more often than not. They spend their first moments of consciousness trying to piece together where they are and what's happened to them. Trying to make sense of the holes in their mind and the crushing sense of emptiness that pounds through their veins.
Even when they piece together who they are (what is left) and what they're missing (Alpha Delta Beta Omega Gamma Theta Eta Iota SIGMA), they still can't figure out why they're here. Where's the snow? Where's the purple medic? Where's Washington?
They don't know. And they don't understand why they're not wearing their armor.
The first thing they do is locate it. It's not far, thankfully, though they can't imagine why they were … what? Sleeping outside of it? Then they look more closely at the armor, and…
This isn't their armor. It was, once, before Agent Maine's injury. Before Sigma. Before they became the Meta. But this isn't their armor. This is a fucking relic.
It doesn't make sense. None of this does.
They put it on anyway. It makes their skin feel more like it belongs to them. Makes them feel marginally more complete — even if it doesn't quite fit the way it should. Then, with the Brute Shot in hand, they set off to try and figure out what the fuck is going on. ]

Ginko | OTA
At least, by the time The Bullshit hits Ginko, he’s seen its effects on other people first. That isn’t to say, of course, that precedent is nearly enough to prepare him for waking up at about a twentieth of his usual mass.
Also, everything smells so much. He wiggles out of his makeshift bedding, away from the scents of sweat and smoke clinging to the fabric, and into the broader space of the little cottage. The smells of clay and stone are more manageable now, though there’s still something harsh - a scent that actually probably came from him or Ed - that sets his new small-animal brain on edge. And there’s the exposed earth that takes up a solid third of the floor, sun-soaked and layered with a sharp, sweet scent that he does recognize - that he’s noticed before and shit no he absolutely cannot follow that train of thought.
One easy way to avoid that: Get the hell out of the cottage. And, you know, maybe off the islet, just to be sure. Enso has more room for running off the shock and panic of suddenly being a cat, anyway.
He makes a beeline for the nearest mana pool, and within minutes there’s a big white cat with a missing eye scurrying around Enso with little regard for who he might dart past and probably startle on the way. Eventually, once he’s run himself out of excess energy, he’ll climb up a tree or something and get his bearings. But, uh. Right now, this is happening.
B: Human Time
This is… absolutely not going to last. Obviously. Things like this that happen around here never do, and, frankly, even if there were a possibility of it sticking, it shouldn’t be allowed to; it would cause too much trouble for too many people.
But, frankly? That won’t stop him from appreciating any chance he gets at feeling a little more like himself. He just feels lighter like this, and that’s only partly because of having dropped fifty pounds of dead weight from his shoulders and back.
Unfortunately, losing that covering of fur and stone makes walking around shirtless feel… a whole lot weirder than it already did. So he guesses he is still stuck with that ridiculous poncho - but at least he doesn’t have to worry about the sun so much anymore.
Speaking of which. He can go in the sun again, and he is taking full goddamn advantage of that fact. Anything he’s got to do that he can do in the sun, he’s going to - and if he’s not doing anything in particular, he’s just going to find somewhere open and just lie there in this dumb poncho.

A - CAT TIME
And waited.
A huge white blur burst onto the scene and made her do an undignified little hop and twirl straight up into the air as Ginko hurtled past her. Yellowfang wheeled around and looked after him, watching in surprise as he scaled the tree.
Was something after him? She looked in the direction he'd come from and squared up her shoulders. When no immediate threat made itself known, she turned to look back up at the white cat. Another cat! She could have wept. But instead--

Erika Fisher | OTA
It happens so quickly, she barely knows what to make of it at first. One moment, she’s asleep. The next, she’s out in the woods, in a goddamn tree, and that on its own is bad enough before she starts to notice… well, everything else.
“Oooh, what the fuck-- what the fuck!” Erika grabs at the smooth, curved horns growing from her head, buries her fingers in short hair until her scrabbling knocks askew the glasses resting on her nose. She fumbles to pull them off and squint at them, and-- wait what the fuck is happening to her hands. Every time she confirms that she’s not imagining one ridiculous new thing about this body, she seems to discover something else, all of it entirely wrong. Like the literal actual wings that flare out in her alarm and frustration, sending her tumbling out of the tree.
She rolls to her feet when she lands - weirdass paw feet, why are there shoes on these paws - setting those bizarre robot hands on the tree’s trunk to keep herself balanced. “What the fuck!”

Okay this is… better. Marginally so. She’s still stuck in the body of some nerd-ass twink fae, but she’s ditched the suit jacket and tie, not to mention the stupid cat shoes. She sure hopes this dude appreciates that she made sure to stash them somewhere where they should be accessible later.
She keeps the wings held close to her back, not wanting to get them caught on some shit, and grumbles under her breath as she searches out her body. “Okay-- yeah, of course this’d happen today. Right before the full moon! Of course!”
As soon as she spots someone else, she takes a breath and plants a hand on the nearest tree to steady herself on these dumb cat feet. “Hey! You seen a hot werewolf lady around here anywhere, because it’s kinda urgent that I talk to whoever the hell’s got my body.”
