Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own. Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose. Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

Uhhh, hey, yeah. Really, really damn good guess in there for a girl without a face.

[Unfortunately, she doesn't have as good a guess back, but she's gonna shoot in the dark anyway as she helps them steady.]

[It might be weird for Legion to see her with absolutely no facial expressions, if they pay attention to that sort of thing at all. She's heard it's weird in talking to her organic friends. If she could though, there would be some kind of body language of surprise.]

Oh, shit. Hey.

[Damn, Legion got swapped with a hot girl. Why couldn't she get that deal. Hell, she'd bet they'd be happier in the body she's in right now.]

Uhh, it's okay buddy, I've got you-- just hang on. Not uh, not used to people legs, huh?

(They did, and they would. Please let them go back to being a robot this is very confusing and distressing.

Why does the whole body have to amplify their distress?

...After a few moments, they attempt to nod.)

[Because that's how humans work, Legion. Their entire body is tied to their brain and that can make doing things difficult when you're freaking out.

Still, they nod, and that's the go-ahead Beau needs.]

Okay, just like, stay still. Put your arms around my neck, okay?

[Fireman carry would probably scare the shit out of them, so let's not. Instead, she just crouches and tucks her arm under their knees to bring them up into a princess hold. It's weird how effortless it feels; Beau isn't weak, but she isn't a raw strength kind of person. This sort of move is a little foreign to her, but not at all unwelcome.]

You good? Also, where am I taking you.

(Honestly, Legion said yes because being carried sounded nice they're not even sure where they're going.

The moment they think about that question, however, they know the answer: they want to be near people.

They wrap their arms around her neck without complaint, though they cling tightly when she lifts them.)

[Look, fuck if she knows at this point. She could go back to the Nein Hut, like maybe, but what good would it do her? Legion's home probably wasn't suited to a live person, same way hers wasn't accommodating to all this armor. Picking a neutral place is safer.]

Uhh, sure. You can sit there, at least.

[That's like, step one. At least they're not having to have them walk now. So we move on to step two, or...]

Having trouble talking? No luck muscle memory is taking over from this girl, huh?

(They nod. Walking is very awkward right now.

They make a small, frustrated noise. Being carried is nice but the physical contact is difficult.

Organics are far more sensitive to touch than the Geth.)

[Interestingly, she's getting used to the opposite. Beau may be shitty at reading her own emotions, but she's very in tune with her regular body. Not getting the regular sensory input, the feeling of the wind or where she's being touched, is really not preferable to her everything, frankly. She never thought she'd have strong opinions about being in her body, but turns out she just has emotions about being in any organic body.

She tilts her head down towards them, even if she doesn't have eyes to follow, just the tilt of the helmet.]

Yeah, figured as much. I dunno how kids figure that one out. I think they just babble a bunch. Which uh, you can do I guess, if that would help. Just try out sounds and stuff.

(That's a solid suggestion, and Legion quickly begins to make noises. Loud, unhappy, frustrated noises.

There are, it turns out, a lot of ways to say UGH.)

[That just makes her laugh, even if it sounds more metallic than before.]

[Much more fun than some happy baby cooing. So obviously she has to take it up a notch to full bullshit left beef.]

(They blink and stare at her, eyes wide with surprise.

[She instantly starts laughing so hard she nearly drops them, and stumbles a bit to recover so she doesn't just drop them to the floor.]

Oh my god, I want like, a spell that does that. Just twist my hand and I get to hear that whenever.

[Beau would pat them on the head approvingly if her hands weren't otherwise occupied.]

Just keep practicing with any words you want. Noises approved. Nobody will mind.
