JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!

Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: It's just a little chaos...
When: June 17th - June 22nd
Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable
Warnings: Violence, possible body horror, potential anxiety and dysmorphia associated with body-swapping

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own. Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose. Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

[A tilt of the head to one side is unfortunately a pretty common indication of confusion. Wash mimics the gesture, short and involuntary, and meows again.]

[There's only so much he can communicate without words, or a body to communicate with. All told, he's better at interpreting.]

(Common it is, but Legion does it a lot and exaggerates it a lot.

They headtilt in the other direction.)

[What else can he do? He can't exactly help here, seeing as he's been reduced to more or less patting Mira's face and hoping something happens. Can't make anyone more or less coordinated.]

[He shoots them a helpless look, as if to say what else do you expect?]

(They watch the cat who is not a cat.

Come to think of it, they cannot think of a reason for him to stay either. They don't know who he is, and it'd be hard for him to tell them in this state.

They might as well make sure. He's even worse off than they are, after all.)

[Yes. Yes, he does, but how can he expect help from someone who's having trouble speaking - operating their own body? He lowers his head in his best approximation of a nod. His skull and bones aren't built for that kind of expression, but he's doing his best with it.]

(They nod. Their ability to help may be limited, but they will try.

How to figure out what help is needed is the problem.)

[Wash paws at his face as best as he can - as if that might indicate that he needs to get out of here. It's not likely that anyone will be able to help. In his experience, these kinds of things tend to resolve themselves independent of intervention.]

[That doesn't mean he has to like it.]

(They cannot help him return to his body. Though they're not entirely sure what that means--he could also be asking about sustenance and trying to indicate his mouth.)

Foooood?

(They know he's a person, at least, so they won't offer him something for cats.)

[That makes him hesitate. Yeah, actually, he's pretty hungry. He just doesn't want to have to eat...rats, or basically anything a cat would eat. Some foods are toxic to cats, he knows. Does this person know that? He has no idea.]

[But he does step slightly closer with a very faint sound of interest.]

(Well, that's good. They don't know about foods that are toxic to cats, but they know they're carnivores, so they have some idea of what's good.)

Mmeeat? Mana wwatter?

(They can probably get meat at the Denny. And water from the mana pools seems to work well for sustaining all life forms.)

[counterblows]

[That's probably...safest. He could catch something, but - god, he sure doesn't want to. He doesn't want to find out that his human stomach is having trouble digesting raw meat when he gets back to normal.]

[He had better get back to normal.]

[Another lowering of his head in a nod. Mana water. Sure. He can drink that. He doesn't need help to do it, either.]

(They give up what they were trying to say, and nod instead.)

[All right. Well, in that case, he's going to go look for mana pool water. This person is free to follow him, but as it is, he's got nothing else..."say," so to speak.]

[And he's hungry.]

(And they almost stumble after him, in their desire for company.

But he cannot communicate, and they cannot keep up.
