JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!

What: It's just a little chaos...

Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable
Warnings: Violence, possible body horror, potential anxiety and dysmorphia associated with body-swapping

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own. Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose. Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

...where is Ed's stone?

Check, uh-- by his hammock, where you woke up. He usually puts it there when he sleeps, I think.

[Okay, yep, answering simple questions like that. He can do that, and not worry about whatever the hell is going on this time.]

[vagabone]

[Yes, yes, now he sees it. One step, another step... all this flesh and muscle balancing on hooves that feel way too small. This!! Sucks!! He was fine being a toothpick!!

He kneels down instead of bending over...]

This is so stupid.

[The Stone doesn't even work, when he tries it. The dumb rock's confused, sort of. Connect to Héctor, who is right here? Ed? Yukio, the poor sucker in Héctor's body?]

[Yeah, he's definitely staying near Hector for the time being. Poor guy looks ready to topple over. It's... kind of bizarre, seeing what looks a lot like Ed struggling to stay on his feet, knowing that that's not actually what's going on.

He crouches down next to Hector, frowning at his stone.] Any idea what might be going on this time?

[Some of these feelings are not Héctor's, they're Ginko's. Yep. There's definitely a headache forming in this skull. He rubs at his forehead with these hoof-fingers--actually, they feel like bone and that's comforting.]

I don't know, everything was normal last night till I fell asleep. Does this guy always have a headache?

Not that he's mentioned, but-- that might be from the minotaur instincts. [He can imagine that would manifest as a headache for someone who wasn't used to it, if Ed's instincts feel anything like his own. Assuming those stuck with the body, of course, which he can only imagine they would.]

Do you feel irritable or on-edge - more so than you'd expect given the circumstances, of course?

I don't know!

[Ugh, he's repeating himself.] How am I supposed to tell? Some poor sucker's stuck in my crappy body, what about this isn't irritating? Who wouldn't be angry?

[...That's probably a yes.]

[...Yeah, that definitely seems extra on-edge to him. Not that he'll say as much to Hector.

He will, however, raise his eyebrows a little.]

Alright, well, we can start heading out to find Ed now if you want to - but take it slow, okay? Won't help anything if you trip over your-- over his hooves.

[vagabone]

[He's moving again, with arms outstretched as if he's a tightrope walker. Stupid hooves. Stupid wings, which also want to unfold. He's not sure he can control them if they do.]

Dios, how does he do this? It's like I'm trying to walk on my ankles.

Practice, probably. Took me a while, too, when I got stuck as a kelpie for some time.

[#justrysligthings. He'll just stick by Hector in case he loses his balance, and... hope he doesn't get smacked with an out of control wing.

If he does, though, he won't be too surprised.]

What's a kelpie?

[Seaweed monster?? Odd. Whatever. Simply walking is taking up most of his attention. By the time he makes it, whoever got his body might have run off.]

Uh... kind of a shapeshifting semi-aquatic horse monster? Kept the hooves even when I was bipedal. [He pauses in following Hector and taps a foot on the stone floor. He may still be digitigrade now, but dealing with hooves was another story entirely.]

You should get used to it with some walking, just-- stay by things to hold onto in the meantime.
