June Event: Chaos, Chaos!

JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own.

Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose.

Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

Phew. I thought so. [Considering the clues.] I guess you're having trouble adjusting to Mira's body, huh?

Hey, how 'bout I help you sit up on the bed? Maybe that'll help you adjust a little. [And there's a smile to assure them....hey, it'll be okay.]

(They look around. They have no bed. There's just a pile of pillows and blankets sitting on the floor. They are not on this pile.)

Okay....maybe the bed's out of the question. How bout I get the pillows up against that wall and help you sit up on the cushions instead?

(And they'll try to nod again. They do a little better this time?)

[Zidane nods back, realising that might be a yes.] All right then! Wait a sec. [And then he rearranges the cushions to make it more comfortable for Legion.] Okay, c'mon, then! [And he'll gently move Legion to the cushions and into a position where they are sitting upright.]

Better?

(And the pillows feel pretty great in comparison to the floor, actually. They're distinctly relieved, even if they squirm a bit before settling.

They close their eyes for a moment, then nod.)

Great! Just take it easy. It'll take a bit of getting used to. But everything will be fixed, I promise! [And if the situation not temporary he'll find a way to fix it, dammit.]

We need to find out what happened to the others, though. Or rather.....who's who.

(They nod, then lean back against the wall and close their eyes and make an unhappy noise.

It's hard for them to string thoughts together other than "I'm miserable!" and "WHYYYYY".)

[Oh no. Poor Legion. Zidane smiles at them again.] Hey, c'mon! It won't be forever. We'll find a way to get everyone back to normal. You'll see. [Zidane's own situation kind of sucks and he can barely feel a thing in this body. But he'll try and stay positive. Especially for people like Legion.]

(They nod, briefly. They know intellectually that this is the case, but they still feel as if it is not.

Their whole body feels now; it's disorienting, too much for an already greatly slowed down brain.)

[Well, Zidane knows he has to look for the others at some point and find out what is going on. All the same, it feels wrong to leave Legion behind when they are in such a state.]

Look, do you need me to stay for a bit? Until you feel well enough to try and get up and move around?

(Legion is espescially clingy today: they try to nod.)

[Okay, that seems like a yes so Zidane will sit down beside them. Man, Legion seems so miserable. What can Zidane say to help them? They don't seem too comforted by the fact that the whole thing is temporary. Probably because it's such a shock and a change that needs getting used to.

Zidane was going to keep quiet about what went on with him. But maybe putting some of his perspective might help Legion a little. Perhaps.]

You know, I don't know what it's like to be in your situation. My race is pretty similar to humans in some ways so I guess I'd feel mostly the same if I woke up as one. Well, apart from the tail. [Well, unless there is another world with humans that have similar tails but that's irrelevant.]

But you know what? I freaked out when I woke up like this too. I mean, there's the obvious differences but I discovered something else. [And he touches the wall and cannot help but look a little uncomfortable as he does so.] I can barely feel a thing. I mean I can feel that the wall's there but that's about it. [And he can think of a few possibilities why.] But whoever this girl is, it's probably what she's used to. And I don't know whose body she's got but I bet the whole thing is really scary for her too.

Either way, I don't know what it's like for you. But just know you're not alone in feeling confused and scared, okay? A lot of us are. And we'll find a way to turn back.

(They listen. Given that so many of their problems stem from organic senses being stronger than those of the Geth, they can't help but wonder if the body is synthetic.)

...Faaaast?

(They have limited ability to communicate, but what they mean to ask is whether Zidene's mind is faster than normal. They're not sure, anymore, if it's always the case that robots have fast minds, but it would still be a pretty good indicator.)

[Wait, did they try to speak just now? Well, that's something. They'll get there. Not that Zidane knows exactly what Legion is trying to say.

Hang on. He might have an idea.]

You mean am I faster? Well, I dunno. I haven't tried running like this yet.

(They shake their head, making a noise of frustration.)

Mmind?

[Mind? Zidane looks puzzled for a second and then realises what Legion means.] Ah, gotcha.

Well, I dunno. I honestly haven’t thought about it. Then again, I’ve been more focused on looking for everyone. [But why would Legion ask that? What would that have to do with?

Ah. Maybe because they are a robot, so....] Hey, Legion. You have some idea about this girl?

(They nod. They can't be a hundred percent sure, but the lack of sensory input sounds ... )

Rrrrrobot?

I kinda thought that too but I can't say for sure. I'm not gonna ask her if I see her because it might be something she doesn't wanna talk about. I mean, I could be wrong but I don't know her. [And hopefully she will be around somewhere. And whoever is with his body too.]

(They nod. They have encountered multiple synthetics who wish to keep their nature a secret.

...Thinking about that makes them sigh.)

Well, whether she does or not, best let her talk about it if and when she wants to. We don’t know her story. It might be hard for her to talk about. Or.........[He goes quiet, looking thoughtful. He guesses this might be the case with him.] Maybe she’s testing the waters before she lets her guard down.

I mean this is all on the assumption she was made in the first place.

(They remember what happened the last time they asked about something like this.)

Huh? 'Not go well'? [Okay Zidane doesn't quite understand the context Legion is talking about. Do they mean hiding that sort of thing won't go well or something else? After all, Legion is finding talking like a human difficult, although they do seem to be starting to get the hang of it.]
