Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own.

Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose.

Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

[This is the second best thing that could've ever happened to her, honestly. All the jewelry glinting around the cat's body looks familiar, but she's too busy clinging to the top of the roof to inspect it from her dangling, precarious position. It doesn't help that she suddenly feels exhausted either. Terrible.

But a cat is a good luck charm, so maybe she can just. Slowly. Slide. Clinging to whatever island shingles or reeds or whatever makes up the roofs around these parts, as she slowly works her way down.]

Good cat, good cat.

[The tiles are clay, so at least she has something to hold onto, but they can also be slippery in the right conditions. Ignis dearly hopes those conditions are not now as he takes just a moment to peek over at Leo. Yeah, the other tigerlily is still snoozing away, so he's going to be absolutely no help.

Why did Ardyn have to pick now to be away?

Ignis circles under her as much as he can while she starts to make her way down. Oh, he's going to be so much happier when she's on the ground!]

[Her experience ambling around collapsed and broken buildings is coming in handy now, as she slides down to the edge of the roof with an acrobat's precision.

There's a few moments that look sketchy as she dangles from the roof, gripping the edge with her fingers and knowing, knowing, she needs to let go. As long as she doesn't hit the cat, it's okay. And if she gets hurt, a cat's here to save the day. And honestly, she's too exhausted to hold on much longer, so-

She drops to the ground, landing on her butt, and while she's a little scratched up from her adventure, she seems uninjured.]

You helped-good job!

[Honestly, if she fell, said cat would much rather she hit him than the ground, but in the end she doesn't fall. There is just that little drop and then she is safely down much to Ignis' relief. He plops down beside her and then promptly gives her lick with a rough tongue before headbutting her gently.

You worried him, little one.]

[Somehow, in her dingus mind, a disaster was avoided because of a cat's presence here. They saved the day, by simply existing, and she owes them a life debt. Probably. But first she's going rub the top of their head, scratching right behind those kitty plant ears. How good.]

You saved me-you did it!

[Just go with it, Iggykitty. It's getting them pets, so who cares. But what she does care about is the bling around their cat body.]

Do you like treasure too?

[It's Ren and he has a hard time denying her anything when he's in normal form let alone when she has so easily found his weakness in this form.

Scritches. Yes, please! Just listen to that happy rumbling!

For a moment, he is too caught up in the scritches to understand what she is asking, but once it hits him, he nods his head. Treasure. Yes, both the necklace and the bracelet are things he treasures, so she is correct.]

Do you want to go find more?

[Because this cat doesn't have enough bling on its body and she's ready to find More for this good, good kitty.]

[Does he want to find more? Ignis takes a moment to look toward the still sleeping Leo and then the empty cottage before headbutting her once more and getting to his feet.

This place is such a bore, Ren. Lets go treasure hunting!]

[Nothing can stop her from treasure hunting-not even an exhausting power that strikes on a whim. There's nothing to fear when a cat's here and she pets the top of its head.]

Okay, Midori. Let's go play somewhere. We'll go this wa-

[And just like that, a portal opens and she vanishes into the air, reappearing literally two feet ahead over a bush that she immediately gets tangled in.]

Way?

[When Ren suddenly vanishes, Ignis makes the most surprised and worried sound a tigerlily can make. It's quite embarrassing, really, but he doesn't even think about that. He's more focused on looking around wildly for the girl until she finally reappears.

Once he spots her, he trots over to the bush and pulls back a clump of branches with his mouth, doing his best to help free her while looking more than a little concerned the whole time.]

[THIS IS NOT A POWER SHE SHOULD HAVE and now she's exhausted as hell, accepting her transporty fate by laying in the bush, even as the cat works to free her. She just wants to nap!!! Awful!! Terrible!!

But she eventually takes the path offered to her by one [good cat] and points in their original direction.]

We have to hurry and find a treasure before that happens again.

[Ignis is half thinking about clambering into the bush to make sure she's okay when Ren finally pulls herself free. Tired, but okay seems to be the verdict, so he nods his head and starts off in the direction she's pointing in.

Hopefully, treasure will show itself before that power decides to do so again!]

[Hopefully so, because she's all of three seconds away from gluing herself to the ground.]

Are weird things happening to you?

[They're a cat, so hopefully they're immune from the terrible island shenanigans, but it doesn't hurt to ask.]

[He's a cat. Is that not weird enough? Though, actually, she has no way of knowing he's not usually a cat. Who knows how other people have dressed up their tigerlilies to let others know they are pets and not just the wild ones that roam around.

Not that Ignis has an easy way to tell her this. All he can really do is nod his big fuzzy head. Maybe if he's lucky she'll name off some examples of other weird things that are happening so he can pick one?]

[Well, that makes her expression shift to something a little more surprised. Cats don't typically respond to questions and that nod could've been a coincidence, but she has a feeling-

She should ask again.]

Are you teleporting places too?

[This time Ignis shakes his head no, enthusiastically enough that it is obvious there is no coincidence happening here. He really is answering her questions to the best of his ability. How he's going to get across he's been transformed, he has no clue, but maybe something will strike him when the time comes.]
