JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!

Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: It's just a little chaos...
When: June 17th - June 22nd
Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable
Warnings: Violence, possible body horror, potential anxiety and dysmorphia associated with body-swapping

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?

The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own. Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!

Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.

Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose. Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!

The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

I'd say a little of both. A cat is born knowing how to do few other things than suckle but there is always something--a gentle paw within you to guide your path.

_{[She spares Ginko the talk of StarClan and how it guides all cats because StarClan isn't HERE. And it's infuriating.]}

I remember watching my mother bathe as a kit and struggling to raise my paw up over my ears just like her. She was a beautiful cat.

[Ginko nods slowly at that.] Makes sense - something of a predisposition toward what you're going to need to know, right? [The basic idea may be fairly standard as far as how more complex animals function, but it's still interesting to hear directly from a cat.

One of his ears flicks thoughtfully at that.] What was your mother like?

Her name was Brightflower...she gave me my long fur and short snout, and I like to think, my wits.

Hopefully you won't be a cat so long that you must learn to fight--but if you are, I will teach you the way my mentor taught me. You seem to have a clever heard between your ears.

Yeah? [Now that's a look he's not sure he's seen on Yellowfang before.]

Ha, good to hear someone thinks so. I appreciate the offer. ...Though I should warn you now, if experience is anything to go by, I doubt I'd be much good at it.

[Maybe it's just a matter of natural predisposition, maybe it's because he's so personally uncomfortable with combat, but he kind of suspects at this point that he's just gonna suck at fighting in any form.]

I won't hear it. Every cat must learn. You only need determination and a good mentor.

[Ginko's face scrunches up, and his ears flick back for a moment.]

--Must I? [He is, however, quick to add,] I'll try, if you're sure. I just can't guarantee anything.

Your fear scent is strong. Why do you have so much doubt?

_{[Maybe he suffered a great defeat before. She can't imagine a hulking creature like Ginko on his Twolegs could lose a fight. Perhaps he is ill.]}

Fear scent, huh. [Ah, great. One more way for someone to pick up on stuff he'd rather they didn't. Ginko's tail flicks irritably.]

I don't have, uh... a good history with combat. Back when I was a human, or especially after getting turned into a troll. [He's not sure he's mentioned that part to Yellowfang yet, but, well. She was gonna find out sometime.]

Some training is in order then--but later once we are out of sight.

Works for me. [Because dissuading her seems like more trouble than it would be worth, he can't really justify it - and if this is going to be happening anyway, he would rather it not be something that other people see. He's pretty sure certain people he knows would never let him live that down.]

...Once I can keep my paws under me, anyway. [He curls his lip and pats at the ground with one paw. God he is not looking forward to trying to coordinate like this.]
