June Event: Chaos, Chaos!
JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!
Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: It's just a little chaos...
When: June 17th - June 22nd
Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable
Warnings: Violence, possible body horror, potential anxiety and dysmorphia associated with body-swapping

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?
The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own.
Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!
Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.
Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose.
Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!
The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

Half-mumbled in between little scoots downward: "This part is-- a lot easier when I'm taller. And have hands."

“There now you've almost got it,” she said as Ginko neared the forest floor. Once his white paws touched down, she stepped aside to give him some room.
The old she-cat looked him up and down. It was not hard to see the tall furry creature he had been in this cat's face. He did not make a terrible-looking cat either.
no subject
"Dammit-- this is going to take some getting used to." He almost hoped it wouldn't last long enough for him to get used to it - though maybe it would be better than being a troll if it ended up being long-term? Time would tell, he guessed.
no subject
Anyway.
Yellowfang waved her tail, a gesture for him to follow her. "You'd best start then, Wildfur, or something may come along and eat you up. To think, you could have been made a sparrow."
A pure white bird that couldn't fly stood no chance in the wood.
no subject
He made a face, crinkling up his nose, and took a couple trotting steps after her. He supposed he should be glad that he had some practice moving on all fours, but a cat's gait was still very different from that of a horse or his front-heavy fog form. "Very reassuring, thanks. You gotten hit with anything like this yet?"
no subject
"No, but I have no doubt I will. This island doesn't seem to leave a flea unfound with its nonsense."
Her voice drilled venom. There were a few things she was grateful for in The Silent Forest, like easy prey and shelter but there was just so much lacking...some days she'd rather starve.
"Use your whiskers, feel the air around you. They will tell you if something is coming for your head."
no subject
He let out a breath and, shaking off his exasperation for the moment, tried to pay a little more attention to the light, ever-present brush of air over his whiskers. When he first found himself like this, it seemed more like a vaguely irritating distraction than anything - a constant buzz of sensation that he couldn't make much sense of. But he guessed it followed that, if he paid more attention, he could get something useful out of it.
"So, this something you had to learn, or is it supposed to be instinctual?"

[She spares Ginko the talk of StarClan and how it guides all cats because StarClan isn't HERE. And it's infuriating.]
I remember watching my mother bathe as a kit and struggling to raise my paw up over my ears just like her. She was a beautiful cat.
no subject
One of his ears flicks thoughtfully at that.] What was your mother like?
no subject
[Something like a smile crosses her smushed face. Nice memories of a life moons and moons away.]
Hopefully you won't be a cat so long that you must learn to fight--but if you are, I will teach you the way my mentor taught me. You seem to have a clever heard between your ears.
no subject
Ha, good to hear someone thinks so. I appreciate the offer. ...Though I should warn you now, if experience is anything to go by, I doubt I'd be much good at it.
[Maybe it's just a matter of natural predisposition, maybe it's because he's so personally uncomfortable with combat, but he kind of suspects at this point that he's just gonna suck at fighting in any form.]
no subject
I won't hear it. Every cat must learn. You only need determination and a good mentor.
no subject
--Must I? [He is, however, quick to add,] I'll try, if you're sure. I just can't guarantee anything.
no subject
Your fear scent is strong. Why do you have so much doubt?
[Maybe he suffered a great defeat before. She can't imagine a hulking creature like Ginko on his Twolegs could lose a fight. Perhaps he is ill.]
no subject
I don't have, uh... a good history with combat. Back when I was a human, or especially after getting turned into a troll. [He's not sure he's mentioned that part to Yellowfang yet, but, well. She was gonna find out sometime.]
no subject
Some training is in order then--but later once we are out of sight.
[And she WILL train him, be it while he is a cat or a troll--whatever may come first in the coming days.]
no subject
...Once I can keep my paws under me, anyway. [He curls his lip and pats at the ground with one paw. God he is not looking forward to trying to coordinate like this.]
