June Event: Chaos, Chaos!
JUNE EVENT: CHAOS, CHAOS!
Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: It's just a little chaos...
When: June 17th - June 22nd
Where: Primarily Io, though also across Ensō and the islets if applicable
Warnings: Violence, possible body horror, potential anxiety and dysmorphia associated with body-swapping

Who Keeps Spinning the World Around?
The morning of June 17th, you'll probably notice things are amiss rather quickly. Your hands aren't your hands, or you're no longer in a squishy human flesh shape, or worse. Maybe your Lawful Good persona has plummeted into an outright Chaotic Evil one. Or maybe you wake up with a brand new power in your hands! Whatever the case is, no explanation is going to be immediately forthcoming, from Eleu or the Storyteller or anyone else. You'll have to figure out this mess on your own.
Adjust to your new circumstances, master your new powers, and do what you can to make it through the next few days...because they're going to be some very interesting ones, for certain.

Catch Me If You Can!
Come June 20th, whether you're back to normal selves or not, Eleu has a job for you. A request, even. They're going to need your help to take care of this little problem and put a stop to all this absolute madness.
Those interested in helping can get in touch with any of the honeybees buzzing anxiously about Io, and they will redirect you to the Honeycomb, which has now been provided with several barrels of Honeycomb Sledgehammers for your use. You don't have to take one if you don't need it, but they make a very powerful weapon. Additionally, Eleu will take care to assure that, in exchange for your help, you may keep the Sledgehammer, if you so choose.
Those interested in assisting may access our boss fight at its top-level below. This is a single thread with no order, but anyone may participate, regardless of their current state of being. Don't worry about how you contribute, or tag speed. Anyone who's concerned about being left out is welcome to reach out to us to handwave or backtag their involvement, if necessary!
The Clown Box is going to put up a fight, though. And it's not going to be pretty.

[Beau spins out from staring at the water, a horrible sort of clunking noise as a much heavier form adjusts to the kind of movement she's trying to put into it and comes down hard on her butt. She was trying to get up, but the usual focus she needs to stand went only as far as getting onto her knees, and then it was just a tangle of everything before she was on the ground again. Oops.]
Uh-- nothing! Not. Really anything, uh-- Jester?
[Is this happening to everyone or just her? Time to find out. And also to figure out what the hell is happening. Is everyone turning into a fake person in a suit? Did she hop a world over or something? Is she gonna die??
At least she doesn't say any of that, for once. Even without a mouth she'd be capable of chattering.]
no subject
Late, she remembers that he likely has no idea who she is, which isn't that different from usual anyway. The AI isn't her father, and isn't Epsilon, but his own person, or being rather, having lives his own life in Blood Gulch without an awareness of his situation.]
Jester?
[Confusion at that sentence. As in a jest, a joke? Jester is certainly not something that she has ever been called, even if Church wouldn't know that. Cold hearted bitch, sure, uptight, and a variety of others, but never a joker.]
It's Carolina.
no subject
Uhh. Okay, this is gonna sound really fucked, but you're gonna have to give me more of a description of what you usually look like. Also, I did not steal this suit, I just can't take it off.
[She's starting to put this together. Kind of.]
no subject
I've a suit of armour like that, although different.
[A newer version than what the Alpha has here.]
Red hair, green eyes, and... is there even a body in there?
[Which may or may not be an odd question depending.]
no subject
I think so. I mean, it's not empty, so I've gotta be inside, right?
[But just to illustrate the whole thing, she reaches up and tries to remove the helmet. There's probably locks and stuff, but she couldn't begin to know where those are, so she just tugs instead to show the example.]
But uh, wait. So if you're not Jester... how did you get in there? You think I'm in a whole other person?
no subject
She squints, as if the answer to that would magically appear. Epsilon had been able to project, but he'd been an AI implanted, and the Alpha had been something else. To say it's confusing would be an understatement.
It's still a strange way of answering the question. Carolina had been used to the suit though, and really, did only understand it from her point of view. So, is there a body, or no...? Does it really matter...?]
I don't know. I woke up like this in a strange bedroom.
[Annoyance hinted at in her voice.]
And that looks like Church- er, his armour.
no subject
Ugh, this is some magic bullshit, isn't it.
[Beau doesn't actually expect Jes-- this person to answer that, because they probably don't know, but at the very least it helps her to reason with it.]
So you're saying this isn't some trapped in somebody's clothes thing. This is someone else that my brain got tossed into that happens to be in this suit.
no subject
[Because that is what this small little body is.
But... Does that mean... Is someone in her body?]
Did you wake up in a cottage? Islet four?
no subject
[It didn't feel like it. She went to sleep and then just-- blinked into a new consciousness. She'd love to never do it again.]
I just sort of-- wasn't, I remember going to sleep, and then I was here. Once I realized I was like, all metal I pretty much just hauled ass. For all I knew I got kidnapped.
[Which she thinks is a valid assumption for coming to consciousness in an unfamiliar location.]
no subject
Right.
[It doesn't answer anything. Is she surprised? Not really. This place is screwed on so many levels.]
Just- not certain if his armour needs recharging. Hate for you to get stuck somewhere.
no subject
Recharging?
[She's also not incredibly familiar with what electronics need here. She knows that when she's feeling bone-tired, when her training has gone almost too far or a hard battle has been at hand, taking a nap by the mana pool always seems to help more than anything else. But what does that mean for a suit who doesn't need to eat or sleep?]
What do I need to do for that? And how would I tell?
no subject
[But... that might not work. It's not like she had pressed, and Epsilon had only been an AI. He had traveled in their slots, projecting an image of himself for others to see.]
I'd suggest going to the mana pool once a day and not going anything too crazy.
no subject
[She had kind of been ignoring the weird lights around her eyes, but it's better they have a purpose instead of just being annoying up there. The only issue here is Beau has no fucking idea what a battery looks like, and is therefore missing the context of which of these blinking things is the thing she's supposed to be paying attention to.]
Too crazy like diving to the bottom of the ocean or too crazy like some backflips?
[She is absolutely gonna do backflips.]
Oh, and if you're in Jess' stuff, be careful of accidentally casting spells or anything. Tieflings have some stuff just in their body, and Jess has some weird shit on top of that. So be careful.
no subject
[Although she doesn't know what, exactly, the Alpha's armour has. It is an older model, at least compared to hers. But, no doubt it has some.
But, wait, what?]
Uh, spells?
[And yes, she may freeze at that. Spells, like magic? As in she could well set something on fire, or what?]
no subject
[It's occurring to Beau now though that she doesn't actually know how to describe how not to use magic, seeing as she doesn't have any now or then. Not the best teacher for this situation.]
Just if you feel like, really strongly, don't make any big gestures I guess? She's always making arm movements.
[Helpful.]
no subject
... how big of a mess are we talking about if I do?
no subject
[She tries to twirl her wrist, which she can do, but it doesn't feel like her movements, so she stops.]
Could just be mundane stuff, like opening windows and making weird sounds. But she can also make somebody's skin tear open with her hands and like, manifest ice to stab 'em if they hit her. So probably won't break things, just people.
no subject
Then again, she would never have thought that this small body would be so dangerous. Not that she'd write people off for it, but it's more that she's outside of her own skin, literally, and it feels off and wrong. The stride isn't her own. The muscle memories aren't there. It's almost like being drunk or drugged.]
Hands at my side it is.
no subject
[... Wait that's one more important question.]
So uh, before I run off and find the real Jester, this thing doesn't have like... weapons hidden in the arms or something? Guns that pop out and shoot stuff if I clench my fist or whatever?
no subject
The question does draw a pause, regarding the older armour.]
... he shouldn't, unless he messed around with his gear. Your helmet's probably the most important thing. It's got a Heads-up display that links to the brain and hands, and displays information. I mean, you are more durable with armour, but that doesn't mean it can't be destroyed, or broken.
no subject
[In a way, that's a double edged sword. Now she can be more reckless when it comes to shit that doesn't matter, but not when it's like, her life. She'd kind of prefer for it to be the other way around.]
I guess, uh... you probably have Jester's rock, right? Call me if you get totally screwed up. I'll try and find Jester and see if she recommends not... doing anything.
[Right after she figures out what the hell everything on this interface even means.]
no subject
[So they can take a beating. Just don't go jumping in to a volcano or anything... Plus, she knows she would be pissed as hell if someone screwed around with her armour. Church... is already mouthy, which okay, is a Church thing generally, but he'd likely be even bitchier if his suit was destroyed.]
Oh. I- kinda jumped out the window without it.
no subject
Why the window?
[No, no, let's backtrack.]
Okay, here. I'll take you back to the house, you get the stone, we split off. Sound good?
no subject
[It makes total sense. Really, it does... And Carolina had had no idea what the heck was going on or where she had been, so a quick escape had been of importance to her.]
Oh. I had thought- well, if mine was still at my place.
no subject
[Calling people was gonna be so annoying.]
Okay, new plan. I get Jester's stone. You get yours. I'll find her and make sure you won't start an avalanche or something. Cool?
