Who: Taako, otawg (open to all w goods)
What: 'i can't believe Taako invented wal-mart'--Zero
When: 8/16 and on? if you want the full inventory
Where: The ruins
Warnings: Spicy
The meeting with the shitty god-rabbit had clarified not a whole lot, if Taako is being honest. But one thing is clear, they (this entire island of randos) are in it for awhile, so they (Taako and Lup) need to be in it to win it. And on this island, winning it means selling anything you can get your hands on for anything that might be useful. Their ice cream social had been moderately successful, and the horrible hustle elves are doubling down on their established niche, now that they realize the full stakes.
To that end, you can peruse an up-to-date inventory here. During daylight hours, there is a very good chance you can find a makeshift setup of warez, with the tired but socially effervescent elf responsible close by. There's existing stock, in very limited quantities, of small things. There's a list with everything else. The wood sign just says 'Got Stuff?' as kind of a preliminary; the argument re: naming convention is ongoing and bloodshed may be imminent. Bring your A-game hagglewise, and remember that a neutral feedback is the same as a negative.
[I should clarify, you can thread with both twins but the default setting is Taako unless otherwise specified! Up 2 you! Not fussy!]

Blue of skin and dark of eye, the Drifter peers at the wares for perusal uncertainly. None of these look like gun, sword, or dash upgrades - leaving them all in all rather lost.

[Needless to say, she greets the twins very cheerfully.]
Well, this is certainly a sight for sore eyes. Now, how am I doing business with the two of you today?

[Fun fact: Muffet is pretty good at a few different kinds of magic. Unfun fact: fire isn't one of them, which means being a baker on a non-industrialized island is a giant pain in the ass. She'd definitely like a steady supply of fire.]

So of course, The Kid has no idea who he's dealing with here, but he figures traders are generally all cut from the same cloth. He's not much about haggling so much as he is about standing around and looking unimpressed and making dissatisfied grunts until someone lowers a price on something. It seems to work well enough.
He doesn't bother with any sort of announcement or preamble. He just sets about unwrapping the stuff he's willing to part with: the baking soda, one of his tin pots, bundles of potatoes and carrots, bundles of firewood and tinder.
"'M lookin' fer rope."

He knows you're supposed to haggle in these situations, but frankly he's been looking to foist off this baking soda since he found it in his pack. He knows it has lots of practical uses, but in his hands, it'll probably just end up going bad after awhile.
"Two carrots an' a tater good?"
He sets the vegetables and the baking soda on the counter.
"What about th' flint? Been rubbin' sticks t'gether. Gets old."
And cold, also.
"Find all this yerself?"

He's especially eyeing the wooden bowls and containers, those that going to be really important - he wants a container to keep water in especially, but if he can get some bowls as well...]
Yo, you willing to give up them bowls and a container there? Two'a those. [He indicates the bowls. In case the brat tags along with him again... He doesn't indicate a price, or a barter, waiting for what the seller is expecting for said items.]

"Y'all take these?" he mumbles, opening up his pack to pull out the small bunch of bananas. Most were still yellow all the way through, but a few of them were startling to dot with small, brown spots.

The other issue is their behavior on the raft. Edward has already proven inclined to forget it, but they haven't seen Lup since reaching shore; or at least, they haven't approached her.
Leaving things as is would be far too suspicious. Thus, Chara's greeting is to the point on their approach.
"If I could have a word, ma'am."
Really, this all would go much more smoothly if they'd gotten the correct elf.

Then again, they weren't exactly paying her much mind, at the time. They exhale sharply, clearly unhappy with the situation at large.
"I wished to apologize for my actions upon our arrival. I realize that the situation we found ourselves in was not yours to rectify- and I allowed my frustrations to get the best of me." They link their hands behind their back, the very image of contrite. "I believe I also owe you thanks for assisting my sibling with their hair."

The blonde doesn't tote his own offerings yet, his face only showing a mild interest as he scans the table.
"Can you make shoes?"
no subject
Should he play up the difficulty of such a request, to try and drive up the price? Or downplay it, so he seems even cooler and more invaluable? Always a dilemma. "I'm pretty advanced in shoe theory, if not practice. What are you into?" There's kinds of shoes, you know. If sand is a worry, something in a sandal is probably gonna be the best bet, but that's not ideal for jungle treks.

“Nothing in particular. Shoes sturdy enough for a deserted island.” Kinds of shoes? Oh…. he doesn't know much about that. Flip-flops are after his time, and besides he's not going to run from some bullshit monster in those.
He thumbs the rough patch of leather that's out on offer. Striped, sizeable. Hey, you know what he could do for you?
“Where did this come from?”

He doesn't say anything at first, he just observes the stock they've got on display curiously.
"First you two make ice cream, now you open up a shop." He he has to grin, glancing at Taako. "I'm half expecting an actual hotel to appear next."

Plus whatever he had in his pack was more or less pooled with the chocobros.
"What would you want for a fish and some coconut oil?"
