The meeting with the shitty god-rabbit had clarified not a whole lot, if Taako is being honest. But one thing is clear, they (this entire island of randos) are in it for awhile, so they (Taako and Lup) need to be in it to win it. And on this island, winning it means selling anything you can get your hands on for anything that might be useful. Their ice cream social had been moderately successful, and the horrible hustle elves are doubling down on their established niche, now that they realize the full stakes.

To that end, you can peruse an up-to-date inventory here. During daylight hours, there is a very good chance you can find a makeshift setup of warez, with the tired but socially effervescent elf responsible close by. There's existing stock, in very limited quantities, of small things. There's a list with everything else. The wood sign just says 'Got Stuff?' as kind of a preliminary; the argument re: naming convention is ongoing and bloodshed may be imminent. Bring your A-game hagglewise, and remember that a neutral feedback is the same as a negative.

Oh, it was these two again. Once again Nyx found himself stopping to just watch the twins, eyebrow raised, for a few minutes. After a bit of debate he opted to walk over, ruined jacket slung over his shoulder messed up arm for all to see.

He doesn't say anything at first, he just observes the stock they've got on display curiously.

"First you two make ice cream, now you open up a shop." He he has to grin, glancing at Taako. "I'm half expecting an actual hotel to appear next."

Oh this guy. What a chill dude. Seems to have come to some kind of consensus with himself re: living his arm truth, so that's good. "Don't tempt me, I don't wanna have to do the math on coconuts per night." Though it would have to be kind of a short hotel. And he'd probably need like, a logging expedition. Maybe he should stick to the smaller scale and get on inventing that hot tub. "You have the right idea though, we're very impressive. So what'll it be today? See anything you like?"

"We'd probably end up in a coconut shortage or depression if we're using those for currency." He comments off-handedly, continuing to look at the various items on display. "Not sure. I probably don't have anything interesting to trade with though."

Plus whatever he had in his pack was more or less pooled with the chocobros.

"What would you want for a fish and some coconut oil?"

"Doesn't have to be interesting, my man. Just has to be useful. And my standards have never been lower." Guy isn't even asking for much, is he. One of those things he didn't even have to transmute, it's just a fish. He'd almost have to give it away. That's where this island economy is gonna break down, there's not enough low value items in play. Taako gives up on setting a price almost instantly, and tells himself that it's an important act of Good Will and Branding and not just laziness. Maybe a case of the Mondays. But that callout will be a problem for future Taako.

"How about you just bring by some coconuts whenever? I'm pretty over them as food, but they're still useful." He might never see this dude again, but a fish and some coconut oil would be a pretty dumb thing to get yourself blacklisted over, and would barely be a loss. "Would be a shame to let a customer leave empty handed. You've got friends, right? Maybe advertise a little."
