I guess that's true. [ She smiles at him, then shifts a little so he can sit next to her. ] I don't mind. Do you like drawing stuff too?

Sure do!

[Scoot-scoots over.]

Me and my pals would draw in the dirt all the time, when we were kiddos.

Me too. [ She continues to trace a picture of a person in the sand. It's not great, of course, though that sort of thing is hard to do in the sand. ]

Not with dirt, but - my teacher used to let us draw and stuff a lot, and teach us cool things like leaf rubbing and stuff. [ That seems like a lifetime ago now. ]

Leaf rubbing? What's that? ... Aside from just rubbing leaves?

It's... [ She looks around, but quickly realises she can't really show him. There's lots of leaves around, sure, but no paper or pencils for it. ] It's when you get a leaf and you cover it when some paper, and then you shade over it with a crayon or something. It makes a shape of the leaf. Looks pretty neat.

[Mickey looks thoroughly impressed.]

That sounds neat! I'll have to remember that and try it sometime - som leaves can be really pretty!
