[ When he comes across the absolute mountain of clothes, he can't help but get pretty curious about what's been given to them this time. For a while, he picks through the selection and, surprisingly, comes across some clothes that just happen to fit him. ]

Wow. Pretty generous.

[Bucky has never seen so many clothes before.]

This is... incredibly impressive.

Even more impressive that they've got so many different sizes here.

This is... huh. An impressive use of magic, I guess is what I'd call it.

Clothes magic. Interesting and useful--I'm almost jealous.

It's a lot more practical than magic you use for fighting, when you think about it.

Hah, I can't deny that. Combat magic has its uses, but... making clothes? Now that's something else entirely.

It's something you can use every day. Hell, it would probably change entire countries.

[counterblows]

[Wash is trying to decide whether this mostly inexplicable t-shirt is worth taking back to the house since it's in good condition and also fits him, assuming he's willing to deal with...you know, what's on the front of it.]

[He donated to this pile, so he's allowed to say it.]

You helped out with this, huh?

[ You know what, it's-- it's sure a t-shirt, but sometimes you just can't be picky. Besides, he can't really judge when he's holding this gem. ]

[counterblows]

I offered a few stories because the clothes I already had weren't really...great.

[Not that this batch is any better. Shiro's new duds get a brief double take, and Wash almost feels envious. Almost.]

...nice shirt.

Fair enough. We've definitely got an interesting selection.

[ He chuckles quietly, holding up the shirt. ]

[counterblows]

I was hoping this time I'd get something a little less...

[He trails off as he stares at the garment in his hands, apparently at a loss for words to describe it.]

Well, I guess it was too much to hope that donating some stories would give me something normal.

[galrarm]

It's par for the course, isn't it? At least it could be worse.

We could be stuck with no clothes at all.

[counterblows]

Please don't say that. [Wash sighs, closes his eyes, and massages his brow like someone who's had to contemplate that exact scenario before.]

[This is not, strictly speaking, untrue. Someone back home had an irritating disposition to sleep naked. Despite several, repeated instances in which Wash screeched at him to do literally anything else.]

Between everything else going on, I don't want to think about it.

[galrarm]

[ Oof. ]

Duly noted. In any case... I'm sure this'll come as a relief to pretty much everyone. Especially with a literal mountain of clothes available.

[counterblows]

Assuming nothing floods in the next couple days, sure.

[Real cheery guy, this Washington fellow.]

Best to stay on our toes, then.

[ honestly, that's a mood, wash. ]

Or take what we need now, mitigate the risk of loss.

Or just relocate it somewhere else. No idea where, though.

[He would've thought higher ground would be the safest place to keep this stuff, but some of that water came from higher ground, so.]

Had to make sure we had stuff for everyone. [Keith says from his right, a grin on his face. He digs into the pile and locates a plain black t-shirt his own size. He reaches for the bottom of his own battered one that won’t take any more mending and is tight on him.

He pulls it off, right there. His braid hits his bare back and he shakes out the new shirt, pulling it on.]

Bout time. Was worried I was gonna have to figure something out.

[galrarm]

[ Well, Shiro isn't gonna complain about seeing a tight shirt on Keith... still, he understands that discomfort. Shiro moves over and gently pulls Keith's braid out from the back of the shirt, fingertips brushing just lightly against his neck. ]

What, you think you couldn't? [ Teasing, of course. ] And here I was just thinking how fashionable leaves could be.

[thermalwind]

[He leans back and his grin grows wider, one fang scratching across his lower lip. Shiro's touch has become a regular part of his days. He just can't imagine being without it.]

We'd need a few trees to even make you decent. [Keith laughs and smooths the edge of his shirt down, leaning up to toy with the shock of white in front of Shiro's face. His voice drops low.]

You're a big guy, you know.
