Wow. Pretty generous.

This is... incredibly impressive.
no subject
Even more impressive that they've got so many different sizes here.
no subject
This is... huh. An impressive use of magic, I guess is what I'd call it.
no subject
Clothes magic. Interesting and useful--I'm almost jealous.

It's something you can use every day. Hell, it would probably change entire countries.

[Wash is trying to decide whether this mostly inexplicable t-shirt is worth taking back to the house since it's in good condition and also fits him, assuming he's willing to deal with...you know, what's on the front of it.]
[He donated to this pile, so he's allowed to say it.]
no subject
[ You know what, it's-- it's sure a t-shirt, but sometimes you just can't be picky. Besides, he can't really judge when he's holding this gem. ]
no subject
[Not that this batch is any better. Shiro's new duds get a brief double take, and Wash almost feels envious. Almost.]
...nice shirt.
no subject
[ He chuckles quietly, holding up the shirt. ]
You too.
no subject
[He trails off as he stares at the garment in his hands, apparently at a loss for words to describe it.]
Well, I guess it was too much to hope that donating some stories would give me something normal.
no subject
We could be stuck with no clothes at all.
no subject
[This is not, strictly speaking, untrue. Someone back home had an irritating disposition to sleep naked. Despite several, repeated instances in which Wash screeched at him to do literally anything else.]
Between everything else going on, I don't want to think about it.
no subject
Duly noted. In any case... I'm sure this'll come as a relief to pretty much everyone. Especially with a literal mountain of clothes available.
no subject
[Real cheery guy, this Washington fellow.]
no subject
[ honestly, that's a mood, wash. ]
Or take what we need now, mitigate the risk of loss.
no subject
[He would've thought higher ground would be the safest place to keep this stuff, but some of that water came from higher ground, so.]
no subject
He pulls it off, right there. His braid hits his bare back and he shakes out the new shirt, pulling it on.]
Bout time. Was worried I was gonna have to figure something out.
no subject
What, you think you couldn't? [ Teasing, of course. ] And here I was just thinking how fashionable leaves could be.
no subject
We'd need a few trees to even make you decent. [Keith laughs and smooths the edge of his shirt down, leaning up to toy with the shock of white in front of Shiro's face. His voice drops low.]
You're a big guy, you know.
Erika Fisher | OTA
As such, Erika is pretty damn eager to get a good look at what all they’ve ended up with here. She’s crouched among the provided clothing options, sorting through what’s there - actually sorting it, folding things up and pushing them aside by style, by size, making some kind of sense out of the chaos. It’s a rough kind of organization, of course; Erika isn’t exactly the most meticulous person. But it seems to her like a start.
Anyone who passes by has a good chance of being beckoned over, especially if they’re looking at all lost among all the clothes. “Hey, you checked out the stuff over here yet?”
no subject
Like Erika he starts to pick up and fold things, neatly stacking them like a cadet before inspection. “Let’s hope Hector selects something he likes. Seeing bare bones is a bit much on the day to day.” It’s a joke delivered with exactly his usual tones of matter of fact.
no subject
She snorts quietly as they sort through the clothes. "Please. I got something just for him, let's just hope he's willing to take it." Her voice is just, full of pain, even though she's also at least half joking.
no subject
His shirt now. He claims a plain red shirt too while he’s at it. “And there’s plenty for our bigger people?” He asks as he turns his head to look at her. “During winter we could...maybe hit my store of Phoenix feathers and down I have saved from Ember. They’re still kinda warm.”
no subject
"Anyway, there's no way he doesn't know. And there should be lots of bigger clothes - found a good few over here already." She nods at one of her sorted piles of garments. "Phoenix feathers sound hella useful, too!"
Ginko | OTA
Besides, right now, he’ll take any excuse he can get to leave the cottage for a while. He knows better than to try anything strenuous, of course, but if he just stays put until his arm heals he’s going to lose his mind. So, here he is.
The problem here is that it’s just… a lot. There are a lot of clothes, and Ginko knows very little about clothes, or even about what he likes to wear besides “pants” and “stuff that’s comfortable, probably”. It seems even more daunting when he’s only got one hand to sift through the options with, and keeps having to take breaks when the pain where his left arm was removed flares up beyond the background noise he’s gotten more or less accustomed to.
So, by the time he’s pulled out a few potential options, making more decisions seems a bit daunting, and it’s been so long since he’s gotten to actually wear a shirt that it suddenly seems like a much bigger choice than it should be…
And, in the end, he ends up crouched in front of a few extremely similar, loose-fitted, dull-colored shirts, frowning thoughtfully down at them like this is the hardest choice he’s ever made.
Which, at the moment, it might as well be.

[You can currently find him inspecting a sweatshirt of dubious design. Or he'll come up to you and hold up an article of clothing and say something along the lines of - ]
Know anyone who'd like this?
[It's probably something questionable, concerning, or both.]
