[Feel free to use this as a catch-all for whatever your character might conceivably be doing here. Are they loitering outside? Just wanting to booze it up? I've heard chatter of live music, so whatever you wanna do here, go for it! There are also some newer additions of rudimentary game boards and decks of cards to pass the time.]

[She doesn't look like she's in any way angry with him, despite her face being a resting sort of stern. But once he says his last bit, it earns a snort of amusement.]

Okay well good news, law number one is there's no laws.

[There's also a real question of if she knows what solitaire is, and without much other prompting sits down on the other side of the table.]

So you're actually playing a game designed for just one person. Is it like, uh, that tile game with the pattern stacks?

That sound vaguely familiar. [ The first rule of fight club is not to mention it. Or at least he thinks that's how the movie line went. Truth be told, Steve wasn't paying the strictest attention to that one. ]

Pretty much, yeah. Keeps the mind occupied. [ He looks up, head tilted. ] Which patterns?

[It's all good Steve. She certainly hasn't seen that one either.]

Uhh, y'know, flowers and stuff. You're supposed to match the patterns to clear 'em out.

[She peeks down at the symbols on the cards.]

Those don't look like them. Usually they're fancier than that and easier to pick up. So it's probably not it, but... eh. Probably more games than just one to be played alone.

[ That's a good enough description for him to get which game she's trying to describe. Not really the kind of thing he plays, but the majority of his actual peers do. ]

Seen it played, doesn't seem like my kind of thing. At least cards I can improvise with.

Uhh, sure. It'd probably be hard to play with cards anyway. Difficult to pick up one at a time.

[She was never much of a fan anyway. It always felt like one of those 'zen' hobbies she never got.]

What're you improvising anyway? You could've played one person cards at home.

Yeah, you aren't supposed to do that. It's more like shuffling around and making patterns. Each completed pattern is allotted points and highest count wins.

[ He shrugs and shuffles up the ones he's been working on and sets them in a pile on the tabletop. ]

Just trying to make this place feel a little more like home. That's all.

[That just gives her a shrug. Guess she can't fault him for that, no matter what she says.]

I mean, like, there's people here. You could be playing with someone.

[Which she is... inviting herself to, apparently, by staring at him across the table.]
