Just wanting to booze it up? I've heard chatter of live music, so whatever you wanna do here, go for it! There are also some newer additions of rudimentary game boards and decks of cards to pass the time.]

[The scrambled eggs look more like chaotic squiggles and there's nothing to note that this is, in fact, what she's drawing. There's also a cat because that's how life is. And their name is also Egg. It all scans.]

Are you really hungry? Do you want more food?

[It all scans, absolutely. Shepard squints her eyes a bit as she looks at the drawing and then nods a bit.]

[She does not, in fact, see.]

Oh, I uh. I'm fine, really.

[Her stomach growls. She coughs a bit to cover that up.]

[Look, she's not the brightest bulb in the shed, but she can hear that!! Gosh!!]

That noise means your stomach is very hungry-I'll find you something good to eat.

[And up she goes, definitely about to find something not great, despite the plethora of actual good food around them.]

[Shepard has the faintest of flushes on her face from being exposed by her traitorous stomach but that fades quickly when she sees Ren just... pass by good, wholesome food on her way to some mysterious Something.]

...Ren, what exactly is your idea of something good to eat?

[She's pretty sure she saw Ren suck some leftover watery something-or-other about 5 minutes ago so she is. Suspicious.]

[Wow, Shepard, way to hit betray. Her tastebuds are cultivated to the highest apocalypse standard and also, this is what you get. She's not Taako. She can't cook. Go call a real wizard!!!

Which she might wanna do, because when to eat leaves her mouth, Ren turns on her heel, holding some old carrot chunks in her palms.]

This! These are very good. There's more where the other food is if this won't make your stomach happy.

[And she points, vaguely, in the direction of a table that someone had very clearly eaten at before and it definitely wasn't her.

I'm... sure they are. But perhaps we should find something that's a little fresher. What do you think?

[She stares at the perfectly!! fresh!! food!! in the palms of her hands!!!

And while she doesn't agree, maybe Shepard is interested in something new. Something better? She would offer her some pizza rolls in this trying time, if someone would make them.]

Okay, the nice dog has a pretty garden we can look at.

[That's right... she planted that garden all that time ago and she wrestled with her to give her a bath to... mixed results.]

We could go there, yeah. Have you been there recently? How big has it grown?

[She realizes then that she hasn't been there in months.]

[Frequently, because she lives on her own timeframe with no responsibilities. That leaves a lot of downtime to go wandering through the jungle and gardens and wherever else she feels like.

Although it's hard to go there lately, now that Murasaki is gone. The cats that used to greet her at the treehouse have been missing for a long time as well.

Still, she extends her arms to either side of her, then realizing that doesn't actually help show the full scope of the huge garden, begins to point with her stretched out hands. Yeah, that's better.]

[Shepard smiles.]

I remember when it was first planted. There was so much potential in the soil and it was exciting to think of what we would eventually have.

[She pauses, her eyes looking far away.]

...Do you miss home, Ren? Whatever it was you had before? Or is this your home now?

[The innocuous question strikes a chord with her. It's clear that Shepard's thinking of something else, somewhere else-that maybe there's a home out there she misses, but Ren's answer is immediate.]

No.

[She doesn't miss one part of that broken world, of being alone, of being afraid of death and living as someone's experiment.]

This is my home now, so I never miss it-I'm always here.
