Things Are Shaping Up to Be Pretty Odd
As of May 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to Io. Though you could always opt for sailing, if you wanted. As we mentioned on the island's introductory post, no exploration is necessary! The island is small enough and easily traversed, and with a minimum of dangers, you have plenty of time to visit each of Io's six draws.

The temple is the easiest place to get in touch with the local avatar, though you can contact them just as easily by striking up a conversation with just about any honeybee you see in the vicinity. The lazy drone of them can be heard all over the island, though they're quite complacent, and not at all prone to disturbing adventurers. The temple itself is twined with grapevines and smothered with inlays of rubies, proud and sparkling. Inside, it smells of honey and wine, and seems to exhibit a naturally contented glow. Just outside, numerous fruit trees sprout all about the temple's courtyard, to be sampled at your leisure.

The bathhouses are located just south of the temple, and are prime locations for some rest and relaxation. Bathe, swim, take a spa day! There are innumerable rooms to do exactly that, and more space than be reasonably filled by some sixty-or-seventy people.

Or maybe you're interested in getting absolutely sloshed instead. The vineyard is perfect for that, located to Io's northeast on one of its long, tapering peninsulas. Rows upon rows of grapevines lead up to the crown jewel of the region: a proud winery with enough goods to satisfy even the most parched.

For those less keen on mind-altering substances, the tea gardens are a far safer bet. They practically emanate tranquility, with their soft paper lanterns, thickets of tea trees, and a tea room with a seemingly endless supply of every supplement to your drink that you could ask for. And if none of the teabags or tea leaves in there suit your preference, you're free to wander about the gardens yourself and sample whatever you like.

The Honeycomb at the island's heart is much more akin to a play structure or jungle gym than anything else, but its interlocking passageways and erratic, hexagonal architecture aren't for nothing. It's an ideal spot for play or exercise, if you're into that kind of thing - or for getting positively sick on honey sticks.

The campsites ensure that you don't truly have to depart from Io, if you don't want to. Tents full of chairs and cushions and blankets make it a wonderful place to spend the night if you're so inclined, and the lockers full of food and drink are assurances that you won't go hungry. And with all these massive bonfires and firework cannons, why would you ever want to leave?

[Ammy doesn't think twice, her reflexes seeing the incoming fruit and immediately springing up to catch it in her mouth expertly. The poor, delicate orb is crushed in the wolf's maw, spraying juice and a few chunky bits of apple into the air before she touches down again, licking the shrapnel of apple bits off her nose and whiskers while also crunching up what's already in her mouth. She loves apples, though they're not her favorite fruit, and begins to wags her tail and bound forward to this...hm. Hm.

Thing? Person??

Therson.

Anyway, she happily looks at this Therson with a tilted head and a smile, still licking over her nose and whiskers, which still are a bit sticky with juice and apple bits. In act, there are also some pieces in the fur around her cheeks and face - places her tongue can't get to, whoops.]

[Gasp. It's a dog. A good good dog!!

Genji is delighted to meet a dog, and he plucks another apple from the tree and holds it up.]

Do you want another?

[Bark for yes.]

Yarrp!

[That's as much as yes as can be, but the wolf bounces on her paws and lowers into the usual play pose of all canines - butt up, tail wagging, and her front paws splayed out before her. She's a really good catcher, and rather agile and acrobatic as well. If he tosses it again, she might do a few tricks this time around...who knows. ;)]

[What a good girl...

And good girls deserve treats! Genji lets out a laugh, before returning to the tree. He scales it easily, picking a choice apple from it's branches, before tossing it Amaterasu's way.]

[Hoho, here comes another juicy fruit! This time, Ammy is ready for it, and follows the arc of the plump, red orb and crouches down, springing up to catch it into her mouth.

However.

Being the showoff that she is (sometimes), her eyes crinkle with a mischievous energy and she kicks off the air itself, jumping even higher than before, arcing her back to do a 'Sick Flip Bro' before landing on all fours and wagging her tail happily.

[Genji claps, cheering for her antics. That was very, very good!! He's impressed.]

That's not bad! Can you do it again?

[Does the dog even understand him? Does it matter? All he wants is more time with the good good girl.]

[Can she do it again? Friend, you know not with whom you speak. Ammy lifts her head up quite regally and snorts through her nose, as if scoffing at him. Ears pointed up and nose high in the air, the wolf backs up even further and waits or another object to catch.

She might put a bit of extra flair on this one, because now it's clearly a game of one-upping the previous show. Clearly. Yes.

Come on, buddy, throw the next one and she'll show you what she's got.]

[Oh, this is excellent. What a smart dog.

Genji chuckles, plucking another apple from the tree and lobbing it Amaterasu's way. Eventually they're going to run out of apples, but for now he's got plenty.]

[That, or Ammy will get bored, whatever comes first. But for now, she's perfectly content with trying to show off a little bit, and get some snacks at the same time. It's a win-win situation for her, clearly.

As the next apple soars well past her head, the wolf races to meet it, tiny bits of grass and budding flowers appearing in the wake of her movement, then leaps up to get the apple. However, this time she doesn't quite catch it, but does a slight twist in the air and flicks her tail in a long and horizontal line. Genji may or may not see the line of black ink magically flow from the tip of her tail. He may or may not see the ink harden like steel and rip right through the apple as if it were made of nothing. But he will see that the apple was cut, a perfectly slice down the center, and the two halves hit the ground mere moments before the wolf does.

...then she eats them.

What?! She's not going to let the apple go to waste!]

[This wolf is no ordinary wolf. He can see the ink, and it's clear that something is about to happen that ordinarily never would.

He still claps, though. A magic wolf...That's not something you see every day. It's truly a sight to behold, and he feels lucky to be able to see this. Almost like it's a blessing.

Nyehehehe.]
