[It's not a true argument; he'll settle down again and start to eat. It's a little slow at first, as he determines precisely where the food is and how this is gonna go, but once he has a picture of it in his head he's capable enough.]

People have been quite helpful, since this happened. It's rather heartening.

Others have described the inhabitants of Enso as kind. Personal experience corroborates this.

Quite so. I have gotten to know several of my neighbors a little better.

[He used to know everyone, back in the Underground. Everything with Chara, and that Mickey fellow who greeted him when he first arrived...he got off on the wrong foot here and just never really recovered, perhaps.]

Our residence is located on Islet two.

(They had not initially wished to live where they could be so easily located, but the need for a location to store items and the initial lack of inhabitants on their chosen islet led them to choose a dwelling.)

Oh? I have not seen much of that one. My home is on Islet Three - I suppose I do not go out walking as often as I once did.

[But this isn't the Underground. These aren't his people, and some of them explicitly don't want him around.]

Do you like it there?

I'm glad to hear that. I have been working to expand my garden, myself. I hope to grow enough food to help supply Denny, next season.

Oh, yes! I have not spent as much time there as I might have liked.

[He took a few seedlings of smaller plants, in case the whole thing vanishes, but overall he didn't want to take over the community farm or anything. Maybe the children wanted to be there.]

How are they coming along?

Good, good. I did worry that the island might disappear, so I have focused on transplanting where I could. It has been around for a while now, though. Perhaps it will stay.

The farming islet appears to be a gift in exchange for assistance given on Nuidan. Disappearance is unlikely.

(Admittedly, the islet only has like, three crops, one of which is not a food crop, so supplementing with other stuff is basically a requirement.)
