As the end of November draws near…… it’s time for that player plot the mods hinted at in their latest announcement.

Laurent’s Witch Labyrinth! -no, actually, it’s just a party.

[preparation]

All day on the 24th people are hard at work setting up on the golden beaches of Enso. The Storyteller’s Temple can be seen from the site and vice versa; it’s just a short walk away. There’s quite a bit to be done, so every extra pair of hands are welcome!

As evening falls, a series of torches light up the party site for the lost; most prominent are the three large campfires spaced out across the beach, offering a variety of gathering spots for those who don’t like the loud partying going on at the other one.

There’s more than enough food to go around. An entire Cariborn is being dug up from the sandy soil way up the beach, having been roasted in the ground. There’s a wide variety spread out on tables… of handwaved origin… maybe they’re the ones left around from 4/20?? It’s probably fine. Herb- baked vegetables, fresh fruits, meat of various types, pizza!! and yes, Muffet’s Magic Blackberry Alcohol abound.

We’ve also got party favors. Amongst them, it seems like..... owo are these sparklers?

Come hang out! It’s a well-deserved break.

The children (and adults so-inclined) have some cute party games to have fun with. There’s a simple little ringtoss area set up, with rings that aren’t even proper circles (listen, Laurent tried) and wooden stakes in the ground to be ringed.

Across the wide stretch of sand there's a lot that can be done- want to build some sandcastles? Pick some shells? Fight some crabs? The beach is dotted with doodles in the sand, inviting you to join in.

The biggest attraction is perhaps the petting zoo- well, it’s a cluster of animals just hanging out, but you get the idea. Located far up on the beach and away from the danger of the waves, the petting zoo has three whole Chocobos, two whole Tigerlilies (one of which is clearly guarding the Chocobos), and one whole horse. Sometimes two horses, but the grey wandering one is wearing a plaque that says “I BITE. PET ME CAREFULLY.”

Yes, ST-chan is invited! I’m leaving it to them to top-level or tag out at their leisure. Keep an eye out for the bunny god, they’re Coming.

[The tables are, in fact, the tables from the 4/20 party. Which means that Connor, who is a noodle, is trying to drag his tables through the mana pool. He, uh. He could definitely use some help with this, because he's not particularly strong or buff and these tables aren't actually meant to be moved. He literally keeps most of them out in front of his house most of the time, because he doesn't actually have anywhere to put them in his house.

There's also an assortment of coconut bowls and extremely pretentious serving platters that need to come through the mana pools, as well as the requisite helping of baskets that need to come through the mana pool, because he's running out of space again and he just. Maybe someone will steal them! Maybe he can get rid of them that way!]

(It takes a moment, when Legion sees the familiar organic attempting to move tables, for them to find and retrieve any data that might indicate why he is doing this. They don't precisely forget but the bulleting board party discussion was not exactly high priority data.)

(He is clearly not designed for physical labor. Perhaps they should help.)

[Catch him just tiredly leaning against the table and trying to catch his breath, because he's incredibly tired and this is table 2.]

I did not think the logistics of moving ten tables made of solid wood all the way through and that is absolutely my own damn fault.

(They won't try to move the table while he's leaning on it, so they wait.)

If you desire, we are capable of moving them all entirely on our own.

[Muffet pauses in the middle of wrangling her own setup through the mana pool with considerably more ease, and frowns.]

Dearie, do you want a hand or two with those? I have got a few to spare.

It's kind of a sticky situation, isn't it? [He's tired, there are so many things stacked in his arms, and that's the best pun he can come up with.] But yeah. I, uh. This isn't even all of it.

[There's still basket hell to contend with. He should really stop doing the thing where he gets bored and makes a basket so suddenly he has like fifty baskets and he definitely doesn't need any of them.]

Here, let me just...

[Muffet shifts her own bundle to one hand, then reaches out with two others and calmly lifts the entire table that Connor's carrying. It doesn't appear to be taking her any actual effort.]

[Apparently, when you make a spider five feet tall, that fun little factoid about arachnids being capable of carrying things several times their size scales proportionately.]

[If it wasn't abundantly clear to Connor that he is, in fact, the only person with particular skillsets, he would probably constantly feel like everyone is better than him at everything. As it is, he's just here to accept that he's a noodle boy and a spider is stronger than him.]

Thanks. I didn't really make them to be moved, which was maybe an oversight on my part.

[Well, she is a pretty big spider? It's not as though he's getting out-lifted by something tiny he found spinning a web up in the corner of the room.]

[She falls into step beside him, chatting idly as they go.]

I'm just rather impressed you made them at all. I'm afraid that my own carpentry skills were... a bit lacking, up until I had the opportunity to take some lessons, here.

[Read: she made a lot of vaguely bowl-shaped disasters until Magnus helped her figure out how the fuck woodworking was supposed to happen.]

[Shion is as much as a noodle as Connor is and a good head and shoulders shorter, but it doesn't stop him from trying to help.

He is stronger than he looks but that's not really saying much at all. Still there has to be a way. Nothing is impossible...] Surely if we just get part of it in and then teleport the whole thing will come with us.

I mean. It worked with the boat, right? When we took it to Umui. [Connor's kind of idly picking at the polish on his nails.] So if I pull it and you push it, then it should go through?

[He does not sound confident about this course of action.]

[Caravaggio being his kaleidoshell, of course. At any rate, Connor grabs the edge of the table.]

You won't die. [His eyes, his body language, it's very intense right now. Connor has died once on his watch, Shion is not planning to ever let that happen again.

Not ever. He grabbed the table and nodded.] One, Two, Three

[Shion is at least stronger than he looks, which considering he looks like he would struggle to pick up a bag of flour, is a good thing.]

[Maybe thankfully for the weed supply, Beau was not here for the 4/20 party, but what she does recognize is those tables. Having lived in the monkey compound for her first month before relocating to the islets when more people came around to live with her, she remembers seeing them all over the place down there and wondering who the fuck just had a bunch of tables set up. Seeing as she still uses that as a bit of a base sometimes, she circles around, and sure enough finds a noodly little dude trying to shove them into the water, and it just looks fucking hilarious, so she laughs a bit before finally approaching.]

Soooo, why haven't you taken these things apart to move them?

They don't come apart.

[As in: they are literally constructed so they do not come apart and they can withstand the way his cariborn sometimes knock them over. They're fitted and glued together.]

I don't know how to do that. I barely know how to glue them together.
