CLOTHING ADVENTURES
Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.
There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.
Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

[ A beat, and then she glances sidelong at Wash, an alarmingly mischievous look in her eye. ]
We better find one for you, too.
no subject
[He is dubious, to say in the least, that there's anything with an appropriately thematic patterning slapped on it, but who knows? Maybe he can be surprised.]
no subject
CT raises an eyebrow at him, and then turns away without a word, starting to dig through the piles of clothing. It takes her a while, but she's not about to let herself get discouraged here.
Eventually, she turns back to Wash, a look of wicked glee on her face as she holds out sweatshirt. ]
What about this one?
no subject
[THANKS, HE HATES IT. He's actually kind of impressed with how Much one shirt can have all over it. The knife patterning was at least semi-tasteful. But this is just...]
[Does "visual diarrhea" accurately cover it?]
And not very tactical and we're trained space marines.
no subject
Fine, fine. Give me a minute.
[ And sure enough, a minute or two later, she turns to Wash in triumph once more, proudly holding up another sweatshirt. ]
This one!
no subject
[His vein of thought is immediately diverted when he lays eyes on this...this...divine fucking monstrosity. But, contrary to his reaction earlier, Wash seems bizarrely, shockingly delighted.]
I can't believe this exists.
no subject
I think it must've been made especially for you.
[ It's even his color. She's practically bouncing up and down with glee. ]
Try it on!
no subject
You're lucky that everything else I could find looks just as stupid.
[But, fine. He shucks off his new jacket, yanks the dumb sweater over his head, and...god, it looks even worse when he's wearing it.]
It definitely, uh, makes a statement.
no subject
[ It doesn't. But...it fits? And, honestly, it could be worse. ]
You have to keep it.
no subject
[Good for cold weather, ostensibly, though he can't imagine why he'd be wearing anything other than his armor, because Wash is a killjoy who doesn't enjoy nice and normal things, like walking around in anything other than full armor.]
I did ask for clothes for all of us. I guess I earned this.
no subject
[ It's a simple statement of fact. She won't let him. Protest as he might, she's not going to forget the look of delight on his face when he'd first set eyes on that stupid shirt.
She raises her eyebrows, though, just looking at him. ]
You asked for all this?
no subject
[He contributed four, and asked for something solid and sensible. These patterns are neither solid nor sensible, but the clothes are reasonably sturdy and will probably last a while, which is the important thing. Regardless of the dubious "style" involved.]
no subject
[ She looks over the clothes again. Nothing exactly screams Wash, except for the perfect, amazing shirt she'd found for him, of course. ]
What'd you ask for?
no subject
[He glances down at his new apparel, his mouth twisting wryly at one corner.]
Maybe I should ask for my money back.
no subject
I don't think that's how it works.
no subject
[Forty stories in exchange for...a mess of a shopping mall. Well, at least he's got something to wear besides his armor. He starts following suit, folding what clothes he's decided he's not morally opposed to down into neat squares.]
no subject
[ Still. Forty stories for...well, this looks like more than enough clothes for everyone on the island, even taking into account those that are so hideous they're pretty much unwearable. She stacks up her own findings into a neat pile, starts to turn, then stops and catches her breath as she spots a hat tossed carelessly aside on a pile of tank tops behind Wash. ]
Oh my god, Wash.
no subject
[It's even camo. Good god.]
Wear that, and no one will be able to figure out where you are. [Max out that stealth stat.]
no subject
[ Nice try. She reaches past him to snag the hat, holding it out to him confidently. ]
This one's for you.
no subject
[You pretty much wears a helmet 24/7, Wash, but okay. Weird distinction to make.]
Why camo?
wrap it up here?
[ Get with the program, Wash.
If he's not going to reach out to take the hat, she's going to just reach up and put it on his head. ]
It looks great.
sure!
Well, when you put it like that...
[But when she's loving it this much, how can he say no?]
