CLOTHING ADVENTURES
Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.
There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.
Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

Dress wise, or clothes wise in general?
[Because Carolina can say that dresses aren't on her list of things to look for. Shirts, pants, sweaters. The basics to get by in this strange place.]
They're all seem... pretty colourful.
[In one way or another.]
no subject
[ She can't see Carolina wearing a dress. CT glances around the room appraisingly. ]
...I guess they are. But most of them have the decency to at least stick to a single color.
no subject
True, although they've weird slogans. Not that I'm above slipping them inside out.
no subject
[ Although, for some of these...well, that suggestion might be worth considering. CT picks up a shirt reading "PIZZA IS MY VALENTINE," and frowns. ]
I think some of these might show through.
no subject
[Then again... Maybe someone would take offence. Not that it would stop her, at least maybe in the beginning. After all? What was the worst that could happen if she flipped them inside out?
Her own frown mirrors CT's in that moment.]
Why would- [But no. No, she's not even going to try to make sense of it. Like many things in her life, it is what it is. There's just no explaining it.] Unless you love pizza, pass.
no subject
No, there aren't rules, it's just...never mind.
[ She tosses the pizza shirt aside with a shrug. ]
There's gotta be something here that isn't awful.
[ Right?? ]
no subject
Maybe at the bottom of the pile with my luck.

[ The armor's temperature-regulated, at least, but it's still not the ideal wardrobe for a tropical island. And if even Wash is willing to give in and start wearing civvies instead of living in his suit, they can't let Carolina be the only one still walking around in full armor.
She starts sorting through the clothes with renewed intent, frowning at most of what she finds and tossing it aside. Finally, she grabs up a shirt with a hopeful expression - the right color, no visible writing - only for her face to fall when she sees how short it is. ]
...I guess this is a no, huh.
no subject
And, at the end of the day, she'll make due with what she finds. It wouldn't be the first time and she doubts it will be the last. Not like she's trying to win any beauty contests.
Fuchsia colour. Lime green. Soft pink.
No. No. And no.
Her gaze does flicker to the shirt she's holding, and it's not a bad colour, but-]
Looks like someone forgot the rest of it.
no subject
Maybe you can find some really, really high-waisted pants to go with it.
no subject
[Because no thanks. She might not be a fashionista, but crop top and high waisted pants? Sounds like a disaster on so many levels.]
Whatever happened to sensible pants and a t-shirt. Something that's going to move and not stand out like a big neon sign.
no subject
[ She's just saying. No one else seems to be having any better luck, after all. ]
There has to be something somewhere, though...
no subject
[Carolina can't argue that fact. It doesn't seem like any one person has been able to find something that isn't out there, that isn't bright and colourful, that isn't covered in some animal or logo.
Finding something black, she tugs, and it is a t-shirt, not too wildly patterned...]
Doable...
no subject
That one's nice.
[ Is that the right word? Good enough. She turns back, digging through in search of pants to go with it, and finds a pair of jeans. ]
Umm...
no subject
Her eyes are dragged away, before gawking.]
Could use the t-shirt you had to patch it up.
no subject
Do you know how to sew?
no subject
Uh, it might not be pretty.
no subject
She shrugs, and holds out both the jeans and the rejected shirt. ]
It's worth a shot, right?
no subject
[Otherwise this whole scenario is pretty moot. She'd gotten a hunting knife, so she can cut, but not like a bar of soap will do anything, or a box of matches.]
no subject
[ CT sure doesn't, but this can't be the first time someone on the island has needed to do some mending. ]
You could ask on the messageboard. Or over the stones.
no subject
[It had been a random assortment of items that Carolina had showed up with. Maybe someone had gotten a sewing kit. Not that she personally has ever carried one, but she can see the benefit of it.
She'd personally stick with her knife though.]
