CLOTHING ADVENTURES

Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.


There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.

Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

Maybe you can find some really, really high-waisted pants to go with it.

[Because no thanks. She might not be a fashionista, but crop top and high waisted pants? Sounds like a disaster on so many levels.]

Whatever happened to sensible pants and a t-shirt. Something that's going to move and not stand out like a big neon sign.

That- well, that is true. Equal opportunity attire.

[Carolina can't argue that fact. It doesn't seem like any one person has been able to find something that isn't out there, that isn't bright and colourful, that isn't covered in some animal or logo.

Finding something black, she tugs, and it is a t-shirt, not too wildly patterned...]

[ CT glances at the shirt and fights to keep her expression neutral. It's definitely not anything she would have suggested to Carolina. Still...she can't deny that it's better than most of the options here. ]

That one's nice.

[ Is that the right word? Good enough. She turns back, digging through in search of pants to go with it, and finds a pair of jeans. ]

Umm...

[It looks like it can be turned inside out to make a decent enough t-shirt. No strangeness on it, no odd words, no jokes that she doesn't understand, or funky colours that clash with her hair (because while not a deal breaker, it is something).

Her eyes are dragged away, before gawking.]

Could use the t-shirt you had to patch it up.

[ It's an idea. CT looks at the jeans thoughtfully, then down at the shirt she'd set aside. ]

Do you know how to sew?

[Wounds are like fabric, right?]

Uh, it might not be pretty.

[ Right. She can't help smiling a little at the mental image of Carolina patching up clothes like she'd stitch up a wound in the field.

She shrugs, and holds out both the jeans and the rejected shirt. ]

It's worth a shot, right?

Maybe. You have two components. But the other two? Needle and thread?

[Otherwise this whole scenario is pretty moot. She'd gotten a hunting knife, so she can cut, but not like a bar of soap will do anything, or a box of matches.]

[ CT sure doesn't, but this can't be the first time someone on the island has needed to do some mending. ]

You could ask on the messageboard. Or over the stones.

[It had been a random assortment of items that Carolina had showed up with. Maybe someone had gotten a sewing kit. Not that she personally has ever carried one, but she can see the benefit of it.

She'd personally stick with her knife though.]
