Slide the Light Off You
As promised, the evening of the 21st finds the Jormun hosting a party on Ensō's largest beachfront. Near immediately, it should be clear that they've spared absolutely no expense when it comes to showing their story-walker brethren a good time.
Of course, they may also be...showing off a little.

Large slabs of driftwood have been laid out to form impromptu tables, bristling with the Jormun's culinary expertise: fried squid, seaweed wraps, spicy pickled kelp, kebabs of roasted eel, hard-boiled snapling eggs, and so on. The vegetables and meats of the sea have been laid out for all to enjoy, so tuck in!
Throughout the evening the air will be filled with the sound of music, with multiple Jormun eager to show off their skill in instrumentation. Conch-shell horns, carved driftwood flutes, urchin-needle harps, and countless more contraptions engineered by a deep sea-dwelling people fill the air with the most peculiar but nonetheless not unpleasant sound. Most of the bands will be set up in the shallow waters, however, as their instruments are not made to be used in open air - try playing them above the surface of the water at your own risk.
Of course, there's plenty more to entertain even the most difficult of people.
You're Living the Strobe Light
Those interested in proving their strength and skill will be encouraged to enter one of the many tournaments across the shoreline. The tournaments vary, featuring such challenges as play fights with the schlacknorkcvic to prove who is the greatest warrior, timed events to see who can stay on a bucking tigershark for the longest, and even a tourney of brovonkosshk, a board game somewhat similar to chess. Don't see anything you're interested in? Make your own. If you can think it, the Jormun will happily accommodate it - impromptu challenges are the highlight of such evenings, after all, though the Jormun won't be taking any responsibility for the first poor soul that decides to usher in a drinking contest.
A small variety of walker games are also available. Jormun children are more than eager to play such games as hide-and-seek or red light, green light, while Connor Murphy will be bringing his Cards Against Humanity deck, for those ready to completely screw with the idea of a fourth wall. There's even a game of Spin the Bottle... except the bottle is being spun overhead like a mace. Being hit by said bottle requires you to do a stupidly ridiculous task, so perhaps it's best to avoid that particular adaptation...
And of course, there's the lightshow.

Additionally, skilled Jormun will be happy to assist those who care to dress up for the event with intricate applications of shellivthiss - a style of waterproof body paint that is not only bright, but luminescent. Something the Jormun may forget to mention, however, is how similar shellivthiss is to henna; should you decide to get all dolled up, except to shine bright light a diamond for weeks to come.
Lastly, those who wanted to bring their own adventures are welcome to as well! Supplying some dope roast? Bringing those sweet, sweet greens? Have some alcohol to supply? All is welcomed by the Jormun - and undoubtedly, your fellow adventurers as well.
You May Find Some Peace

"I have seen some military games, but none of them are like this."
Not that Jules has a lot of experience in that sort of thing. He wasn't allowed to become a member of the military.
no subject
He didn't mind standing back and seeing what Jules' form looked like. He could always help him out if he wasn't familiar with how to throw darts. "Just a friendly game, nothing major."
no subject
no subject
It wasn't too urgent, he just saw him holding it backwards and hopped over. He lifted up his own dart to show him. "Like this."
He figured he could do an example throw. "You want to stay still." He lifted his arm with it, putting it near his face. "You need a good sight line, to tell where it's going..." He motioned a few times with it, getting a feel for it, before he let it loose. It hit solidly in the blackish square above the center. A decent throw, and he immediately settled back to the side to let him have the space back. "It's not too bad, you just have to get a feel for it."
no subject
"Weird..."
He took another dart to give it a try the correct way though. When he released the dart he used far too much power. He was Andarian, not human, and Andarians had far more physical strength. Sometimes Jules didn't realize just how much he was using. The dart clipped the edge of the board and blasted through it, eventually getting caught at the end.
"Ah... crap."
He hadn't meant to destroy anything.
no subject
He didn't even know a dart was strong enough to do that. He jogged over to the board to investigate, moving it to check each side.
"The wood must've been weaker than I thought..."
Grabbing the dart, he tugged hard on it to get it out and inspected the damage. The board was a crude replica to begin with, and the hole made one of the spot impossible to use.
"Maybe we can patch it up somehow. If we can get some clay or something..."
no subject
He hadn't had a clue how much strength to use. While basically no experience in playing games that involve throwing things, he simply went with his knife throwing strength. Strength that's meant to pierce through flesh and bone.
no subject
He waved him over, setting down the darts and starting to walk. Perhaps they could find another roundish piece of wood to use somewhere, or some way to repair it.
no subject
He knew so little about this whole thing that he wasn't really sure what he could actually offer in the whole process. Manual labor, probably, but that would still require him to know something about what options they had.
no subject
At the very least he didn't sound upset. It was just an accident, after all. All they needed to do was find something else vaguely board-shaped.
"So have you been enjoying the party?"
no subject
Jules was pretty sure even he couldn't punch one of those dinky darts though that.
"Hate parties."
Which he did. Parties never ended up going well for him. He tended to be an object of ridicule no matter what he did. Generally he much preferred to stay away from them and the people that partook in their festivities. His life had made him a loner. Even now, after his wife had brought him into more socialization, he was easily overwhelmed in large gatherings.
no subject
He lifted a piece of wood, but a chunk was missing from one side. Hopefully he could find something better than that. "Not normally the social type?"
no subject
Which he doesn't have. Not really at least. Trajen and Thraix are the only friends he's ever had, and they're pretty recent. Ushara's brother might count in the pool of friends too, but that would be it.
"Hard to enjoy being social when the entire world hates you. Or in my case, the populations and multiple worlds."
He looked at the piece of wood Prompto had just put down curiously.
"Would it be big enough if we cut off the edge?"
no subject
"I can be your friend." Though genuine, he made the offer nonchalantly and didn't hesitate to get back to business.
He hefted the piece of wood back up and leaned it on a table nearby. "I don't know. Maybe. Too bad these don't come in perfect, large circles."
no subject
Jules' reply was just as nonchalant. He thought nothing of the fact that he was hated anymore. It was simply a fact. He didn't dwell on it very long either. Instead his attention went to the wood, evaluating. His control might or might not be good enough. It's hard to say.
"You think you can do something with that piece or are you willing to potentially sacrifice it?"
no subject
He was joking and not joking all at once. He didn't think of himself as a moron. He might not have been Ignis levels of intelligence, but he thought there were things he was good at.
On the other hand, some people probably did think he was dumb. He preferred video games and taking pics to studying for tests.
"Sacrifice it? What's that mean?"
no subject
Jullien would openly admit to being a first class idiot, and it had nothing to do with intelligence. He would have gotten a doctorate in college had his grandmother not voided every diploma in his graduating year. He was just an idiot in general.
"Are you willing to risk reducing it to ashes? I might be able to get a circle out of it, but it's not something I've tried before so there's a good chance I'll just set the whole thing on fire."
no subject
He wasn't sure he understood, but it sounded like some sort of magic thing. He stepped away from it, juuuust in case any of that 'sacrifice' magic could hit him. "Nah, I don't care if it gets burnt up. We'd just have to find something else then."
The piece they had was questionable to begin with so no big loss. He did watch intently, though, wondering exactly what was going to happen.
no subject
He said that like it's no big deal even though it is. It was a fact he's lived with most of his life and has accepted that nobody actually needs a reason to hate him.
"Let's give it a whirl then."
He dropped the piece onto the ground and called upon his second lungs. Fire blazed out of his mouth and danced down his arms. Using all of the control he had, he started burning away at the edges of the board.
no subject
"Whoa, is that your own type of magic?"
It was still weird even thinking about others having the magic without any attachment to the royal family but he at least understood it was a thing. All he could think to do was grab his camera and snap a shot.
no subject
"Not magic."
Sorry, he was too busy focusing to try not to fry the entire board to explain more at the moment.
no subject
no subject
"That worked better than I thought it might. You aren't the first person who has called that magic. Totally don't get that. It's just genetics."
no subject
Once it seemed safe he put the camera away and ran around to pick up the piece of wood. "I think this could work! Just have to paint it a bit. But how did you do that with fire?"
no subject
He said that so casually even though he'd only discovered what the second lungs were for a few years ago. Nobody had understood them before since almost every member of the fyreblood race had been exterminated by his grandmother. The few remaining ones had left Andaria.
"How do I make this easy...? Fire burns wood. Burned wood eventually turns to ash. Ash floats away. The end."
