EXPLORATION EVENT: NEVERWERE

When: May 15th to May 18th
Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu

You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!

Event Timeline

"Huh..." How strange. He never heard of other people being gifted with magic like that. "...Was it Shiva?"

She seemed most likely. Leviathan probably wouldn't hand out powers.

Okay, something is in fact wrong here. He's never heard of that god- not that it wouldn't be too odd- but the fact that he didn't jump to someone well known like Pan or anyone in the main pantheon is strange. Not that he's interested in making the other man think he's a death addict, but he may need to show his hand a bit here.

"No. Have you ever heard of the Raven Queen? Goddess of death and the natural order?" This isn't going to be quite enough to flag something definitive, but he's already thinking about how to do that, if he can.

"No, I haven't heard of that one. If that some sort of god from another culture...?"

As far as he knew, everyone worshipped the Astrals, but it was possible they had something else in another country. He wasn't quite sure how since people could see and speak to the Astrals. But maybe there was something else? He was open-minded to being wrong about stuff.

He folds this arms, still deep in thought. This... this is just irregular. To have this many questions, for there to be so many places where things don't fit. "Does any of this seem... off, to you? Better question-- do you know where we are? Could you find out?"

He needs data, something more concrete, and now that he's looking he can't find it anywhere. "Perhaps it's more than coincidence that we don't know each other."

"It has been a little weird. But, to be honest... I never even left the city until Noct went to go marry Lady Lunafreya. Before that there was just no way I could leave the protection of the wall and all, you know? So there's probably lots of places I haven't seen."

Unlike some others, Prompto was willing to explain away things if he could. If times were good then he didn't want to ruin them. But he was friendly regardless, not trying to hostilely deny it. "What d'you mean by that?"

"I mean, I don't think I know where we are. And I don't think you do, either." It's concerning, but in a way he can't place. Still, something nags at him, a question of why he's getting so worked up. But this is unusual. Kravitz is used to knowing things, and the fact that he can't recall something so simple is bothering him in a very specific way.

"It's not about what you haven't seen. You should still-- we should be able to read a map, have an idea of where we've traveled. But I supposedly live here, and I couldn't tell you what city I'm next to."

Something in his head screamed that this uncomfortable line of questioning was dangerous. He wouldn't get mad - not at someone who was just confused - but he did feel like he should escape before something bad happened.

"I... I don't know, exactly," he laughed nervously, taking a step back. "I do have diplomacy stuff that I think I need to get to. Representing Lucis and all that. It was really cool seeing you, though! We should hang out again sometime."

He's trying to get out. That-- makes sense, probably. He likely sounds insane. But he needs to figure this out. If this man won't help him, he'll just talk to someone else. Besides, it'll be embarassing if he does end up chasing after something not there with a stranger.

"Of course. Don't let me hold you up." He gives Prompto a smile, trying to keep it pleasant. "I suppose you know where to find me. Or I may find you in your city, regardless."

"Yeah, hey, anytime." He smiled awkwardly, though cordially as he backed up a bit. "I'll buy you an ice-cream when you visit!"

He certainly didn't want Kravitz to think he was unfriendly. Something just felt wrong about all of this, and he didn't want to deal with it. After a small pause, he waved largely. "I'll see you then!"

And he jogged back towards his car.

He gives the other man a wave as he goes, watching him head off... and then heads inside, ready to research. Something's going on.

He'll figure it out.
