Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu

You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!

Event Timeline

Did you name your - your sandwich today? What was in it, anyway? I swear I can still smell it and it smells like hot pockets.

People name their cars. People name their computers. I don't...think I've ever met someone who actually names their instruments.

[And he knows some weird people. He knows Jay Merrick, for fuck's sake. Jay Merrick, who writes novel-length song titles just to piss Alex off.]

[Tim wrinkles his nose, a doomed attempt to drive the scent from his nostrils.]

...I'm gonna take your word for it.

It's not that weird. How's it weirder than naming your car?

[ This sort of hair-splitting conversation is probably not rare in this household. Probably. He's not sure. He can't remember the last time it happened...]

I don't know, man. Do you know anyone who names their instruments?

[Why is he getting hung up on this? Why does he care? God, he doesn't care. He can name the damn thing "Kevin" and get it over with if he wants.]

[He doesn't care, but he's still refusing to drop the topic, like it's important in some capacity. Maybe because if he stopped thinking about it, he'd have to find something else to occupy his mind, to keep it from the slow, inexorable drift toward the realization he doesn't want to have.]

[He feels like maybe he's upset him, and now he feels like a dick. Well, great. Tim grimaces, glances at the banjo in his hands. For some reason, he's relatively sure that conflict resolution isn't among his set of personal skills.]

[ He's not actually that upset. But the spat feels...out of place? In a way he can't quite put his finger on.]

[Now it's Tim's turn to look sheepish, shifting on the spot, staring at the instrument he really didn't need to buy and shouldn't have bought but has nonetheless come home with, and - grimacing.]
