Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu

You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!

[Can she?? Who knows. She can try that's for sure and she looks at the palms of her hands like she's ready to harness whatever power she can to make the sky explode.]

I'll try to make them as big as the clouds.

[She will summon all the chaotic energy on this fake earth, make it bend to her whims and watch the sky explode in a sea of beautiful light to make her uncle Mango happy.

She concentrates just so hard and does??? magic stuff and-]

[Well, making the sky explode seems like an Uncle Taako or Uncle Tim kinda deal. Apparently an ideal world doesn't change how own perception of that because, instead of making huge explosions, her hands just kinda send up sparkles. Bigger!! Sparkles!!! That one looked like a cat, probably. Nya-boom.

[ Well! It's not the big explosion or the fireworks that he was expected, but hey, it's still pretty dang cool.]

[That's right!! She's gonna believe she's done a great job today and mark off that big accomplishment. Moderate fireworks, check. Her to do list, which is filled with little beyond 'bother people', is steadily getting marked off.]

putting sideburns on tent. Check it!! That's magic at its finest.]

Holy shit. [ He laughs a hearty laugh, because that's fucking amazing.]

[Holy shit seems like I like it sort of reaction.]

[ It sure fucking is. She's getting real good at understanding tones and context.]

Oh shit, hey--can you put them on Steven? [ And he raises up the orb the fish is in. Dream eternal fish can't die, right?]

[Death isn't even a thing in her reality-the fish will be fine.

Which means nyoom! Poof! Pop! Magic stuff! And suddenly, instead of sidefins, Steven has two long strands of hair to swim with. Terrible, but whatever. She's an apprentice, shut up!! Fish are hard.]

[ Well! Close enough, isn't it!

Magnus brings the orb right up to his face, excited smile falling into a kind of grimace, that he immediately hides so he won't hurt her feelings. ]

It's--awesome! He looks so good!

[ Hair fish...if he could actually open the thing, maybe he would, I don't know, style it or something. ]

[That's right-he looks damn good. Everything's better with sideburns, apparently, and that's what's she's gonna focus on today.

Don't mind her as she ambles off to sideburn the entirety of this camp-pots, pans, tents, cats. This'll be a fun surprise for whoever happens to come home first.]

[ Magnus - and the now very fashionable Steven - watch as she plays the absolutely weirdest version of the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. You know, the scene where she's turning all the animals and vegetables into servants and transports and shit? Looking back on it, maybe what Ren is doing is a little less fucked up than turning both anthropomorphic and regular-ass animals into servants for this chick without ever asking their opinion or giving them warning. At least Ren is adding onto things.


This feels like that night in the temple when--





when shadow monsters hit. Around when Lup almost got killed and everything didn't seem so fun anymore.


He gets distracted for a moment, a few seconds lost in thought. There's nothing there, behind his eyes, just the feeling that he forgot something important.

The eerie familiarity of that feeling.


Something smells fishy-- actually, something smells rotten. Both literally and figuratively.]

[Whatever inconsistencies in this reality are coming to light for him, she's woefully unaware of. This feels like a daily routine-sideburn things, cat ear things, make things sparkle, turn the camp into a treasure because that's what her afternoon whims dictate.

Thankfully, she runs out of things to hair and tires herself out pretty fast trying to find untouched items to mess around with. There's only so many pots on this earth and they're all in desperate need of a braid. Oh well. She turns back to Magnus and notes the odd expression on his face-is it lunch time? She didn't hear his stomach rumble, but maybe-]

Are you hungry?

[ He blinks back into focus, making a vague sound of confusion. But the smell is still there.]

I, huh - I'm okay. Do you--does something smell weird?

[catpiper]

[It's a weird question, all things considered. The flowers that cover the island generally make this place smell like an aromatherapy diffuser on full blast. She gives the air a little sniff though. Hm.]

Flowers. It's a good smell.

Yeah? [ He twists his nose a little, looking around. Flowers? There's not...not so many that he'd be able to smell them. And those are some stinky flowers.]

But something's weird, right?

[catpiper]

[She glances around her, eyes falling to sideburned tents and fish and somehow, none of it registers as weird. It's normal-the cats, flowers, everything.

But it's starting to feel like something's missing and she-

Doesn't want to think about it.]

Nothing's weird. It's okay. We can go play somewhere else.

Huh...okay.

[ He fails to entirely register her discomfort, still distracted by that damn smell. He holds up Stephen, looking at the fish like it can give him any answers; but, freakishly fashionable burns aside, the fish looks entirely normal.]

Sure.

[And thus, the horrible life continued on for eons to come.

Or until someone finally saves them from this terrible, side-burn filled nightmare. ]
