EXPLORATION EVENT: NEVERWERE

When: May 15th to May 18th
Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu

You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!

Event Timeline

The cats can pick first.

[She's going to let the real rulers of this island call dibs, which they eagerly do by poking and prodding at the basket of fruit, small pieces tumbling down for them to gnaw on. They can't get poisoned here-cats eat all fruit.]

Which one do you want?

[Because she's going to dig into the basket for this boy!!]

[Shion smiled and let the cats go for it. They truly were the rulers of this island and they happily feasted.] Cherries please Ren!

[He smiled at her brightly.] Which ones are you going to chose?

Strawberries.

[After she gives him a nice, heaping handful of plump cherries of course. What a feast. And despite her naming a grand total of one item, she pulls out a bunch? Like one of each fruit. Her big plan-]

We can make these into a sandwich.

That's a great idea! A fruit sandwich. [Her wish is his command, he goes about finding bigger fruit to be the 'bread'. A chunk of pinapple and a slice of melon. This could get messy. But he is certain that Ren can handle it.]

[It's a horrible idea and storyteller bless Shion, the most precious of all, for going along with her chaotic whims. Her gross, grubby little fingers take some cherries and smash them against shion's slice of melon and pineapple. Horrible.]

You can try it first. Put them together and then take a big bite.

[He just smiles, it's a mess but it makes her happy and so he doesn't even worry about the mix of cherries, melon and pinapple all mixed together. He takes a bite, it's nice actually even if it is messy to eat.] Thank you Ren, do you want some next?

[Hell yeah she does. Don't worry about her, she's already working to put her fruit sandwich together.

After she's done creating some tiny, mini sandwiches for her cats of course.]

Yes, but I have to feed Kuro and Ao and Midori and Shiro and Kuro and Kuro first.

[Winner for the most creative pet names goes to-not her.]

They'll like these sandwiches too.

I'm sure they will, Thalassa, Excalibur and Cobweb like them too.

[They already have fruit, should cats be eating fruit? There's a waver on Shion's face as he wonders if this is bad for them but it soon gets smoothed over. Ren thinks it will be fine, so it is clearly fine.]

I'll make some for the cats so you can eat your sandwhich.

[It's her world so it's 200% fine. These fake cats can enjoy everything to their heart's content because there's no such thing as allergies or food poisoning in any sense of the word. It's F I N E.]

Okay, but then I want to help make some for your cats too.

Of course, they will be happy to eat fruit sandwiches made by Ren. [It was an honour, of course. Shion began making some mini cat sized sandwiches.]

[The pieces of fruit are smashed together in the palms of her hands and she gnaws on the terrible creation until it's all gone. Incredible. Don't mind her shoving fruit into her pocket for later and please ignore the way she crawls to his side, fingers covered in smashed cherries, because she's going to shove them in his pocket too, if he doesn't move away. Enjoy!!]

[Of course he doesn't move away. This is her world where people consider smushed cherries in their pockets the finest of gifts.] Thank you Ren.

[All she does is smile. Good, enjoy the cherries. She's going to find many, many more over the next few years. It's not like they go out of season-nope. A person can always find their favorite food if they look hard enough.

So she goes back to her fruit, happily making questionable sandwiches for the cats around her and the ones waiting for Shion back home. What a great life.]
