Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu

You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!

Event Timeline

[ Magnus kind of stares for a moment, the almost condescending tone not exactly flying over his head, but he sees the look on Kravitz's face. It all sounds like an eternity of loneliness, and, honestly, it sounds like it sucks ass.]

Yeah, but--

[ When they first met. When was that, anyway? It feels like an eternity ago. Years, right? But how many?

Something feels weird. Like vague sounds of something in the walls you can't quite identify, a creature behind a trap door failing to keep silent. It's a feeling in the back of his head. A feeling of...something that isn't.

The feeling itself is strangely familiar, but he can't quite identify that either.

From Kravitz's perspective, it probably looks like Magnus interjected, stopped himself, then just stood there staring blankly for a couple of seconds too long. There's just...there's something he can't quite-- there's....something.]

[It would, if he stopped to think about it like this. That's why he doesn't! He will bury all his feelings and eventually stop existing, like a normal person. Yep.

But suddenly, something shifts. Magnus has a response and then... doesn't. He's just standing, and the longer it goes on, the more it unnerves him, before Kravitz leans closer to his face, snapping his fingers there a few times.]

Magnus? Magnus, are-- are you alright?

[ He blinks and shakes his head slightly, snapping out of whatever silent trance he got trapped in for a moment there.]

Huh--yeah. Yeah. What were--what were we talking about a gain? [ Yeah, yep, natural.]

[He squints, still examining the other man's expression.]

The Astral Plane, mostly. You were going to say something and then you simply stopped and looked like you had been possessed. Do you feel like someone tried to attack you?

[He's just gonna casually grip his jaw and look at his face a bit more, what's personal space, I don't know her.]

[ Okay, skeleton man, that's a little more touching than he expected.]

Huh, no. [ I mean, not like he really knows what it's supposed to be like. Last time his body was possessed he wasn't in it--

Wait, what? When did that happen? What happened?]

Huh...

[He's married to your friend, it's fine. Also, he's becoming increasingly worried Magnus is possessed, which is a Bad Thing and means he has a Job To Do so lets make sure that's not happening, huh? He doesn't sense anything, nothing necromantic, but there's something in this making him more uneasy than he should be.]

Magnus? Magnus, is something trying to take you over-- I need you to concentrate. Don't get lost in illusions or what someone tells you is real!

[Wow, the irony is palpable.]

[ I mean, clearly, no one can fault him that logic. Any sudden confusion and discomfort is clearly a sign that you're being possessed by a spirit or something else. At least, that's usually the common cause.]

I hear you! I--It's fine, I just. Got a weird feeling.

[ He looks around the room - unsure what he's actually looking for. Not a noise. Not a person. But something feels...off.

And there's a weird smell. That isn't the cats.]

Do you smell that?

[It's not what he expected Magnus to say. But he's on high alert right now, and even if the other man is occasionally short-sighted in his plans, he's observant enough to take it seriously.

Kravitz tilts himself back from Magnus, taking an experimental sniff.]

It... smells like rot. Like death.

[What could that possibly be? It smells like vines.

Wait, when has that happened?]
