Exploration Event: Neverwere

EXPLORATION EVENT: NEVERWERE
Who: Everyone!
What: Your wildest dreams come true!
When: May 15th to May 18th
Where: Ziziphus, those still on Ensō...and Mu
Warnings: Mark as needed!

Then Know That My Life Was Just a Killer Dream
You can find most of the information you need in the OOC info post! In the meantime, feel free to use this log as a catch-all for your dream worlds, as well as detailing your efforts to free one another. Whether they're on Ziziphus or Ensō at the time of the dreams' capture, your character is free to access as many dreams as you like, as the interlocking mental landscape allows for that sort of crossing over apropos of nothing. And time, of course, is very fluid in dreams - many days, months, and years can transpire in a matter of mere minutes.

Will you fight your way free from Ziziphus's vines or Mu's thrall, or are you content to die in your sleep?

Remember to let us know if your character dies during this event!
Event Timeline
[ ♆ ] May 15th: The vines make their move, ensnaring characters in ideal fantasy worlds
[ ♆ ] May 17th: The Storyteller will make contact with those they can, as well as issue information and a potential solution
[ ♆ ] May 18th: Those that have not freed themselves from the vines or from Mu will suffer a death

[Ginko jumps at the roar, and jerks back and away the moment the lion appears. It takes him a moment to notice Keith just... standing up like nothing is wrong.] --Wh-what?

It's okay. This is the Black Lion. [The Lion lowers its self down and opens its mouth a ramp dropping down. Why does it feel like he's explaining this for the first time?]

We're psychically connected. If I can't see what's wrong Black might be able to.

[Might. He might see. It's worth a shot. Keith walks towards the lion.]

[The way Keith talks about this... lion, the casual familiarity of it all... it feels like Ginko really should know this already. And yet, once again, everything Keith is saying is entirely new to him.]

I... see. [He pushes himself carefully to his feet, still watching the Lion as if he's expecting it to attack or something at any moment, and follows Keith.] ...Let's hope so.

[He waits for him by the door leading inside and slips into the darkened inside when Ginko is right behind him. The interior is sleek metals with a black padded chair at the center in front of darkened consoles.

He comes around the side of it and drops into the seat. He sighs, tipping his head back towards the ceiling. They need answers. The Lion has never lied to him.]

...you might want to turn to the side. The Lion will wake up and this place will get lit up when I touch the controls.

[He waits a couple of minutes and reaches out closing his hands over the levers in front of him. Pale purple light snaps on within the console's displays screens, the levers light up, the chair, and the darkened screen in front of them clears. He can feel the Lion waking back up as he closes his own eyes.]

Before I do this. Does any of this feel familiar?

Uh... right.

['Wake up'. It seems awfully... well, machine, more than animal, which he supposes he should be glad for under the circumstances. But he guesses a machine could wake up? Some machines are pretty alive.

It's hard to stay focused, to avoid just going into every single thing he knows about every topic - machinery, robots, artificial beings. He's encountered them, he knows that for sure, but how much? How long have things like that been something he has to think about?

He should probably stop for now.]

...No.

[That part, at least, he's sure of.]
