Camp Base - Let's dance to joy division and celebrate the irony

[It feels like a repeat of events that happen whenever he falls asleep: something happens.

Seto fell asleep and dreamed of a school and a time he did not belong to. He fell asleep and Ren went missing, ran away because of him and his reaction to her eventual death. He fell asleep in a world that was composed of silence and bodies of other children.

He falls asleep and--

And he's...back. Blinking at the bright sun, the sound of waves filling his ears as Seto's memories rush to catch up to him. Shiro, Tokyo Tower, Shin's memories and Ren---

He vanished without a word. He has no idea how long it's been. Ren and Crow. They're...

Seto was at the Storyteller's temple but he doesn't stop running until he reaches Camp Base again. He's out of breath but forces himself to keep running until he finds Ren and Crow, calling their names.

Someone can try to stop him, on his run to Camp Base and through it, but they'll need to keep up with his run. Or just tackle him. Either or.]


Locked to Ren - Everything is going wrong but we're so happy

[Once everything has died down and night has come, Seto hasn't quite gone to bed yet. Things keep happening when he sleeps and he's slightly afraid that he'll disappear again if he does.

It's a silly fear, the same kind of fear he had once he had been pulled out of the Water, but he doesn't want to vanish again. It's not so much that he hated his own world - there were a lot of pretty things there despite it being destroyed and he wouldn't have met anyone if he didn't live there - it's just that Seto doesn't want to leave Ren and Crow alone again.

So he goes for a little walk. Just so he could find a good spot for some star-gazing. Unsurprisingly Ren's tagging along and he does not mind it at all. Any time he can spend with her is even more precious now.

Any and all time...all that she has left.

If Seto's gripping Ren's hand a little too hard, he's sorry.]

[For a good minute it may seem like Seto is gonna run by him. When he gets going, it takes a lot for Seto to put on the breaks.

But he does because there's a chance that Magnus knows where everyone is.]

M-Magnus! Is everyone okay? Are Ren and Crow still here?

Whoa, slow down-- yeah, they're fine. But--you're back!

Where have you been?

[Yeah he knows he needs to slow his roll but when Seto gets going it's hard to stop. But he's going to try and take a deep breath and not panic!

...it doesn't work much. But it has to work.]

I-I think I went back home. How long has it been?

[Seto has no idea how long it's been, after all.]

[ Well, he's heard of people doing that, but hasn't really met anyone who he knows went through it.]

It's been, huuuh. Couple of days? We thought you were gone for good!

[It's...actually been longer in Seto's world. A week or longer. Thinking about it makes his head spin.]

I don't know what happened. But it was longer back home. I don't know why....

[IT'S CONFUSING AND HE DOESN'T LIKE IT.]

[ Does he get it? Well, in a way, yes. But that's beside the point. ]

So, huh, shit, what happened back there? Did you just wake up at home?

[ Why must you ask the weird confusing questions about awareness, Magnus. ]

I think so. Me and Ren fell asleep before I came here, so we woke up again.

[Maybe. Time travel is really, really out of Seto's pay-grade sadly.]

What happened there?

[ It...hits him that he really knows about nothing of this kids' world and their lives. Huh!]

[Seto has...no idea what 'Inception' is! But he'll take it as meaning something's weird.]

Oh, um...we met a talking cat named Shiro and then we went back to Tokyo Tower for a bit.

[It's not the whole story, but he has to talk to Ren first before he decides on saying the rest. Sorry Magus.]

[ That's what this place is, mostly, yeah? Also any kind of conversation with him and his homeworld buds, just a myriad of references no one else gets, and, honestly, make no fucking sense, in the grand scope of things. But that's a reality talk for another time.]

A talking cat? [ Yes, of course that's what he focuses on. Weirdly enough, it's the part he finds most relatable, in the whole two things Seto brought up.]

His name is Shiro! We met him when we were exploring.

[There's a whole lot of other things to go with that, but the important thing is that Shiro is a Good Cat.]

[ Seto and Magnus seem to be at about the same level of not contextualizing whatever the hell they are talking at the time, which makes for very whimsical conversations.]

Huh. Maybe he'll pop in here too, sometime.
