Returns
Who: Seto and open | Seto and Ren
What: Seto has returned from his canon update. Time to find everyone again.
When: Backdated to the 9th
Where: Around Camp Base
Warnings: Massive spoilers for Fragile Dreams and the epilogue manga. I'll update as needed!
Camp Base - Let's dance to joy division and celebrate the irony
[It feels like a repeat of events that happen whenever he falls asleep: something happens.
Seto fell asleep and dreamed of a school and a time he did not belong to. He fell asleep and Ren went missing, ran away because of him and his reaction to her eventual death. He fell asleep in a world that was composed of silence and bodies of other children.
He falls asleep and--
And he's...back. Blinking at the bright sun, the sound of waves filling his ears as Seto's memories rush to catch up to him. Shiro, Tokyo Tower, Shin's memories and Ren---
He vanished without a word. He has no idea how long it's been. Ren and Crow. They're...
Seto was at the Storyteller's temple but he doesn't stop running until he reaches Camp Base again. He's out of breath but forces himself to keep running until he finds Ren and Crow, calling their names.
Someone can try to stop him, on his run to Camp Base and through it, but they'll need to keep up with his run. Or just tackle him. Either or.]
Locked to Ren - Everything is going wrong but we're so happy
[Once everything has died down and night has come, Seto hasn't quite gone to bed yet. Things keep happening when he sleeps and he's slightly afraid that he'll disappear again if he does.
It's a silly fear, the same kind of fear he had once he had been pulled out of the Water, but he doesn't want to vanish again. It's not so much that he hated his own world - there were a lot of pretty things there despite it being destroyed and he wouldn't have met anyone if he didn't live there - it's just that Seto doesn't want to leave Ren and Crow alone again.
So he goes for a little walk. Just so he could find a good spot for some star-gazing. Unsurprisingly Ren's tagging along and he does not mind it at all. Any time he can spend with her is even more precious now.
Any and all time...all that she has left.
If Seto's gripping Ren's hand a little too hard, he's sorry.]

If Seto's gripping Ren's hand a little too hard, he's sorry.]

[Without warning, there is a Crow launching himself right at you from a tree. And probably knocking his best friend to the ground in his haste upon seeing him here.]
Where have you been!? We've been looking everywhere for you!
no subject
But given it's Crow, his best friend and someone Seto would stop for anyway, he doesn't mind. And after what happened, he actually doesn't care. He's gonna wrap his arms around Crow and not let go.]
I-I think I went back home! It was really scary.
[To forget all of this, to forget everyone he met and everyone that was still alive]
no subject
What!? How??
no subject
[Sorry Crow, he know he said before he wouldn't cry, but Seto is Seto and he's nothing if not easily moved to tears.
And after everything that's happened here and happened back home, he has a pretty good reason to cry.]
I'm sorry I left. I'm so, so sorry.
no subject
[Here comes Crow's hand to
papwipe his friend's face of those tears.]Stop that, you don't need to apologize to me. It's not your fault.
no subject
I'm...yeah. I just didn't want to leave you guys like that.
[Just vanishing. No good-byes at all.]
no subject
[This is why Seto is such a good person. He would never choose to just leave the people he cares about behind. Even when there's nothing more he can really do for them, depending on the circumstances.]

Welcome hooome
It didn't settle well with any of them.
Magnus is sitting by the fire pit, absentmindedly carving away at a small block of wood. He raises his head when he hears quick footfalls in the direction of the camp, quiet as the area is, staring out towards their makeshift entryway.
He watches as a figure approaches quickly, before he can finally recognize who it is. He then quickly stands, dropping his stuff.]
Oh shit, Seto!
he's hooome
But he does because there's a chance that Magnus knows where everyone is.]
M-Magnus! Is everyone okay? Are Ren and Crow still here?
[Hi.]
no subject
Where have you been?
no subject
...it doesn't work much. But it has to work.]
I-I think I went back home. How long has it been?
[Seto has no idea how long it's been, after all.]
no subject
[ Well, he's heard of people doing that, but hasn't really met anyone who he knows went through it.]
It's been, huuuh. Couple of days? We thought you were gone for good!
no subject
I don't know what happened. But it was longer back home. I don't know why....
[IT'S CONFUSING AND HE DOESN'T LIKE IT.]

So while she doesn't want to leave camp this late-would prefer he stay within the border of it for his own protection, there's no safer place than by his side and she takes his hand without protest. They can look at the stars somewhere else. It's what he wants.
The tight grip on her hand is a comfort-it's proof he's by her side. That he's not going to disappear again. It doesn't bother her and she returns the gesture.]
How about here? Do you want to sit down?
no subject
He does have something to ask Ren, a question he's going to ask Crow eventually too, but for now he just nods.]
Yeah, it's perfect.
[A nice, clear space. Seto didn't know the names of the pictures that the stars made on the island but that doesn't mean he can't make stuff up.]
The stars are really pretty here, aren't they?
no subject
Let's be real. It wins out and the hand that isn't crushing his in her grip, points up to the sky.]
That's why Kumo-chan [And she moves her hand slightly] and Hanako-chan are playing up there. They know it's pretty.
no subject
I wonder what it's like to live up there.
[It's probably a very big place to live in, if going by those complicated books. Endless. They could live there forever.
...yeah, they could. But--]
Who else is up there?
[He's putting the question off, he knows. But that's okay for now.]
no subject
[A soft hum escapes her as she moves her finger across the sky, playing connect the dots with some of the stars and finding each of them lacks a certain part-a tail or ears or whiskers. This is a time consuming process okay??
After a few minutes, she finds an adequate constellation and says-]
Murasaki-chan and I named Kumo-chan and Hanako-chan. So you can name this star cat.
[Complete with a vague gesture at where this star cat resides in the sky.]
no subject
....Seto knows he's thinking to hard about this but it's still fresh in his mind. But he also knows what happens if he thinks about it far, far to much and for too long. So he'll give a name.]
How about...Lilly-chan? They're pretty flowers and I think the star cats are pretty too.

He let her go out on her own (by not cementing his eyes on her whenever she slipped out earlier, huehue...hue...) and she's made use of her time around the islands by gathering timber in all forms, and even faithful Reebo has been helping by gathering flowers.
It's helpful!!! P-probably!!!
Needless to say that Seto is running, and Luna isn't paying attention, and they just sort of-- collide. Somewhat roughly-- Luna falls backwards on her rump and drops her sticks with a startled yelp!!! Oh!!! Reebo flutters down to nuzzle Luna's cheek!! Why?? Why falling?
She sits up and winces a bit, her hat scooped over her eyes from the fall. This is awkward.. ]
no subject
Well it's not a surprise they collide. Sorry Luna.
Seto is down for the count too, but he's up on his feet pretty fast. However he's not so much in a rush he misses the fact he nearly ran someone over in his rush to find Ren and Crow.]
Oh um, I'm really sorry. Here, take my hand!
[He'll hold out a hand for Luna to take.]
no subject
N-no, I'm sorry, I should have been looking where I was going...are you okay? [ Reebo settles on her shoulder, watching Seto curiously. ] You were going so fast!! Do you like to run a lot?
[ she rubs the back of her leg a little-- there's a soft mark from where she fell down. Nothing crazy painful, but a little stingy. She'd absolutely have to walk it off before she made it home to Guzma. He's such a worrywart. ]
no subject
[He wants to start running again but at the same time Seto knows he needs to A) slow his roll since he ran over someone and B) he actually doesn't have a clue where his friends are beyond possibly at camp.
So-]
I-I think I went home for a bit and I wanted to find my friends. Have you seen a girl with silver hair? And a boy with black hair and two elves?
[He'll describe them better if Luna asks, but that's Seto's go-to for now.]
no subject
Ah...huh? [ a head tilt. Silver hair... ]
A boy with black hair...I'm not sure. But I know Ren has silver hair! [ she beams triumphantly!! ] She's like a princess. Sometimes, she comes over for dinner with me and Guzma! And...she really likes cats?
no subject
Yeah that's her! [Are they friends?] A-and the boy with black hair is Crow, my best friend. I don't know how long I've been gone so I wnat to make sure they're okay.
[Day and night changes didn't matter too much back home beyond the need to get to a place they could light a bondfire and sleep. So he hasn't been keeping track of the days here and vanishing threw Seto off even more.]
