Keep Me In Your Clouded Mind

So, by now you're probably aware that things have shifted massively in the past few days. The Historian has arrived on LifeAftr's shores to spill a few mountains' worth of beans, and now all of you are stuck having to deal with it. But that doesn't mean that you're going to need to make this discussion alone.

The fate of LifeAftr - and the fate of all of you - is now in your hands. And while all of you decide what you will about how you plan to deal with that, the gods are busy having a long overdue familial argument. Consider this log a catch-all for you to discuss the fate of LifeAftr among yourselves, react to the various revelations, ask the gods questions, or just sit and eat some popcorn while they argue amongst themselves.

Remember - you have until May 10th to come up with any solutions that other player characters can vote on.

So think long and hard about where you want things to end up.

But Now the Stars Have spoken

Of course, you are always free to create your own individual logs and posts as needed. You may also use this log for characters to discuss and react to things with each other and argue amongst themselves; consider it a catch-all for IC endgame discussion.

Endgame Timeline

Do you believe allowing this world to end will allow you to rest?

I believe so, yes. I would prefer that to going back into some tiresome loop.

But as I said, things are...complicated.

Yes. You are not the only entity affected by these decisions.

(They chatter.)

Continuing the time loop is a non viable solution. If an alternative is found, would you be willing to accept it?

That would depend very much on what the alternative is. You ought to be aware that regardless of what happens...you will receive resistance.

Be prepared to accept that the outcome may not be what you would prefer.

Acknowledged. However, that does not mean we should not try.

May we request a "favor"?

You may request it. I cannot guarantee that it is within my power to give it.

In our timeline, we are dead. Though we would prefer not be returned, if we must, we wish to be destroyed.

Our people are gone, and other sophonts are hostile to us. Though unlikely, it is possible that someone with sufficient knowledge might seek to restore us from death: we do not desire this.

I am not sure what it is you expect me to do about it.

If we are forced to return to our timeline, would you be willing and able to destroy us?

That rather lives outside the realm of my capabilities. Here, certainly, I could destroy you.

I cannot guarantee you would remain in that state, should you be displaced back to where you came.

Perhaps, then, they should focus on solutions that will not force them to return.)
