If you happen to be in the area of the second Islet, where a make-shift hut has become the home of two local pokemon trainers, you may find yourself smelling something amazing. Well, amazing if you enjoy fish. With their new wood-burning stove, Luna and Guzma's cooking game has upped itself tremendously. Rather, Guzma's cooking game has upped itself. Luna has gained a rank in firestarting and firekeeping. It's amazing, living together with a guy like Guzma-- mainly because Luna would never have thought it could happen. But here he is, standing around and cooking fish like he's been doing it for years...probably. Not that Luna knows. Guzma's a pretty outstanding mystery to her in the first place. Weird, kind of spooky. Pretty negative. But everyone knows him, so he's not shy. His pokemon adore him, so he can't be all bad.
It doesn't stop both her pups from being on high guard. Luna'd be lying if she said that there weren't times she was on guard herself-- but having someone who knows where you come from is something that she's decided to not take for granted. Someone with enough knowledge and history to ground her and remind her that home exists...
....somewhere.
Islet #2's hut is...pretty organized, but definitely split into two sides. With the addition of the wood burning stove, the two have tried to insulate their abode with a large tarp, though they still lack a proper roof. There are two strangely hung hammocks on opposite sides-- one of them has a very impressive looking tigershark-skin blanket draped across it invitingly. They seem to be hung by an insect's silken threads, and are very secured to what little they could be fastened to on the worn-down parts of the hut.
On a side of the hut, seashells hang of all types and sizes. They're pretty to look at. There's a small pile of them on the floor, along with a bag that says 'L U N A' in worn letters. There's fur on it-- perhaps someone sleeps here?
For now, this temporary home is fine.

[Twist, snap, twist, snap. The fronds come off easily in her grasp and when she has three she spreads her wings and lets the wind resistance against the feathers carry her down to ground level. Extending the leaves to Luna, she offers a professional smile.]
I made them to help me get to medical emergencies faster, but I've discovered many more uses for them since arriving here. Things like scouting, reaching treetops, accessing roofs.
[Mercy counts off the points on her fingers as she speaks. No doubt she'll find more uses before this whole mess is over.]

[ her eyes sparkle!!! Woah!!!!! ]

[She trails off, hoping to catch a name.]

Have...you been here for a while? [ Luna thought she'd met most on the island at this point, but more and more seem to be coming onto shore...that's confusing as heck. ]

[She tilts her head in thought for a moment. How long has it been? Gosh, it's been almost three weeks now. In truth, she'd been in survival mode since arrival. It hits her in the gut now, the fact that she's really in a different world. Through the homesickness and sudden anxiety, she smiles.]
I have been here almost three weeks, I believe. It's difficult to be sure without an actual way of keeping track of time. What about you?

Almost two months! I think! [ she pulls her worn knapsack around her and a scroll is pulled out. She shows Mercy-- it's a constellation chart. With a gentle point, she shows Mercy a small bundle of stars-- no actual constellations on this chart, unfortunately, but Luna seems pretty happy to show Mercy what she's found. ]
I check this chart every night before I go to bed-- there's a hole in our roof and I can see the stars, and they're really pretty and clear! But it changes every night...and so does the chart! I've seen it change in the last few weeks every night...and I think that's pretty close to a few months!
[ the leaf totters on her head slowly. No wind to knock it off yet. What a functional little hat. ]

How clever! You're interested in astronomy, then?

[ HOW'S THAT FOR AN HONEST ANSWER!! Luna looks at her map! Despite her claim of ignorance, she certainly seems happy with it. ]
They're nice to look at! Back home, there were lots of stars in the sky...and even though the stars look different, I still think they could be the same. Maybe someone from home is watching the same stars I am!
[ she gasps, and frowns softly at her map!! ]
What if they're being named without me?? What if they already have really cool names?
[ THE BIG PROBLEMS, TONIGHT AT 8 ]

Well. [Mercy straightens herself up to look very professional and says matter-of-factly:] What truly matters is that here, they are nameless, and that simply will not do. Here on Enso we will need your valuable expertise in cool names.

Luna perks up immediately, smiling delightedly. Valuable expertise. It makes it sound so official. Like she's an Official Constellation Namer! Luna looks on at her somewhat empty chart with a big smile on her face! ]
Yeah! You're right! Okay! [ MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER!!! ] When they start showing up, will you help me name them, too?
no subject
I can certainly try, but I have every confidence that you're the one who will come up with the very best names.

There is nodding!!! There is so much happy nodding!! ]
Mm! We can do it together! [ STAR NAMING SQUAD, FORM UP ]

[An amazingly stubborn leaf, it turns out, as it refuses to fall even when she nods with such vigor.]
[Another breath of wind doesn't even topple it, but it does remind Mercy of why she came over here in the first place. That heavenly smell of something cooking.]
[She sniffs the air pointedly.]
Is someone cooking something?

[ ANYTHING FOR THE STAR NAMING SQUAD, MAN ]

[Guzma. What an interesting name. It would be good to meet everyone she can, especially those with cooking and potentially hunting capabilities. She lacked those skills herself.]
Guzma is a friend of yours, I assume?
