What: After all the shit that went down in August and September and to help the newbies get settled, it's time for a party!
When: 26th October
Where: Outside the Denny

[It took a while to organise but it’s finally here! Outside the Denny is a warm fire with dragon meat and all sorts of other meat cooking on it. There is also food strewn on tables and various modern music in the background thanks to Michael’s phone.

Not only that but there are also games on a few separate tables provided by the Denny.

Feel free to bring your own food, drinks and games. Maybe you’re even helping cook some of the food yourself? Or you are keeping watch to make sure nobody causes any trouble! Or are you the person causing trouble yourself? ~~Of course, none of you would dare do that, would you? WOULD YOU????~~ Or are you having a dance? Or maybe you're that wallflower who is just sitting there drinking and refusing to talk to people? Either way, feel free to come up with your own prompts!]

[The offer to use Denny for whatever festivities Zidane had planned doesn't mean Tim's very interested in doing any partying of his own. He can't drink; his smokes have long since run out, and he hasn't asked for any more.]

[Mostly he spends the hours keeping watch over the festivities and making sure things aren't getting too rowdy, when he isn't on Denny's roof, busy thatching it with some of Ahidalga's dragon scales - and just generally getting away from the action. It might be a little weird to hear a rhythmic hammering coming from the roof of the place when everyone else seems bent on relaxing and having a good time. It's fine; it's just Tim, giving Denny some much-needed renovation to shield it against any harsh conditions that might crop up in the future.]

[When he's not doing that, he's making sure that nobody completely wasted - or underage - is trying to get at the barrels of blackberry liquor that he helped set outside. He's not a drinker himself, but he's the closest thing you'll get to a bartender out here.]

[Zidane noticed he had not seen Tim much during the party. Maybe he's not the type? H doesn't seem to be the guy who goes to them often and it was nice enough of him to let Zidane hold one here. And while Zidane knows it wouldn't do good to force the guy to mingle or dance or whatever, he does wonder if Tim is all right there thatching the roof on his own. Has anyone talked to him?

So the youth walks up to him.] Hey! Need a hand there?

[Tim is, in fact, pretty far from the partying type. He's pretty far from the socializing type - but while Denny's central purpose is to facilitate socialization, he seldom participates as much as the more typical patrons.]

[He glances down, scratching at the side of his chin.]

It's not very interesting work. Thought you were in the mood for celebration.

[Well he is but.....] There are other things I've gotta do besides enjoying the party. [Like checking up on everyone.] Besides, it's not as if it's gonna end anytime soon.

[And, glancing at Tim's roof] I guess this is a priority, huh? Maybe it'll be less tedious if you have a little help.

[Well that's what he thinks anyway.]

It's not like this is going anywhere either.

[No little dragons in sight to set about torching the place, either. All told, it seems pretty safe. And Tim...well, as a rule, Tim needs something to do with his hands. It's only gotten worse since he (un)officially actually quit smoking, uphill battle as it was, and still is.]

Well then, what are we waiting for? [And with that, Zidane will attempt to climb up onto the roof with the ladder or whatever is available to get him up there.]

Besides, you let me use the Denny for the party so I kind of owe ya one.

People use Denny all the time.

[Sort of the point of it. But Tim reaches out to offer him a hand, if he's set on getting up on the roof.]

You sure you're good with this? Might be missing out. Not very exciting up here.

Like I said, the party is gonna go on for a while. I can go back later.

[And he takes Tim's hand while smiling and pulls himself up. Really, he just wants to check up on Tim and see how he's doing but hopes it won't be too obvious.]

Looks like things are going pretty well at the moment. The party, I mean. [And he can still keep watch from here. But still. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and not too much trouble has been caused. So far, anyway.]

It was a good idea. I think we were due some time to unwind.

[He picks up a brush and a clay jar of something, sets it down.]

Made up some glue that I've been using to keep the scales set down in place, so it's a lot of just holding them down until it sets. No idea if this stuff is waterproof, so it's just a temporary measure until I can get some sealant over the rest of it.

Well, it's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. [While Tim picks up the brush, he'll take a hold of one of the scales.] You use the glue and I'll place it down and hold it, okay?

Sure.

[He's not about to dissuade him at this point, so he might as well just let him help. Maybe now they'll finish it quick enough to allow Zidane to get back to the festivities.]

Heh. No problem. [And he chooses a spot to hold the scale down for Tim to glue it back. He takes a quick look at the party to make sure everything is going well. Good. No trouble, so far.]
