I can never come up with good titles (backdated to the beginning of September)
Who: Legion and you! (+closed prompt for Faust)
What: Maintenance and repairs
When: Beginning of september
Where: Legion's house on islet 2
Warnings: ...Damaged and busted robots? If there's anything worse than that it'll be mentioned in the thread.
A) Self repair (OTA)
(For anyone who decides to stop by Legion's house today, they will find two Geth; one being the robot everyone knows and loves ... and the other being that same robot's corpse.
When the Drifter's shadow killed them so many months ago, they saved their remains to use to repair themselves should they ever need it.
Now, apparently, is that time.)
B) Gun repair (Faust only)
(And while they're at it, once they finish fixing themselves, they decide to work on the Widow. Carefully, they take the gun from it's usual spot in their house and unfold it, before gently beginning to work on cleaning and maintenance. They get pretty absorbed by this task: they won't notice that anyone is approaching, or even standing in their doorway, at least not at first.
It's probably more than a little disconcerting, seeing them lovingly caring for an absolutely massive gun like that.)

(They look at themselves.)
Without it, we would be incapable of complex repairs.
(They've taken a few bits from it in the past. Mostly armor, for when they needed the plastic.
Ironically, dying that one time might be what has enabled them to survive so long now.)

fortuitous?
[That's...a different perspective. The Drifter, for their part, never would have once considered that their Shadow's murder of Legion would ever have ideal consequences.]
no subject
(They chatter.)
And yet, we have benefited.
(Like with many things, Legion doesn't see absolute good or bad here. It is difficult to define.)

weapon from nastrandir

Thank you.

very inaccurate
more useful as piece of history
[Besides, the Legion has a much cooler and much more functional gun. It's more the token of the thing, and for their museum.]
no subject
(They examine the gun, turning it over in their hands.)
no subject
[So it's more or less just a very old set piece.]
acquisition for museum
no subject
(It's not as powerful as the more ideal mix using sulfur, saltpeter, and charcoal, but it's more than adequate for this purpose.)
Yes. It will be a highly informative display.
no subject
slow going
have many others already
?
[How in progress is this museum, exactly?]
no subject
We do not, though we have discussed the possibility of a museum with multiple others.
Current intention is to repurpose this dwelling, as we rarely utilize it for purposes other than storage.
no subject
[The abode could make a fair storage avenue. It would limit where Legion might have to go, should they need to sequester themself someplace. But then, there are plenty of public buildings for that very purpose, these days.]
no subject
It depends on what is donated and what we are able to acquire. Possibilities: logs; memory containers (They mean the orbs.); maps and images of islands, cities, and individual dwellings; pieces of buildings; machine components; additional weaponry.
no subject
[They hadn't found them as fascinating as the weapons on Nastrandir, but they do recall running across a handful of oddities, while exploring the sunken city with Horatio.]
no subject
(Finding underwater artifacts is what got them considering this: consolidation of information sources is ideal for distribution of data.)
no subject
[The Drifter was speaking of their own experience, but clearly, this experience was more...universal than they'd assumed.]
no subject
(Definitely more universal.)
no subject
?
[Man, all the Drifter found was an old cage and a broken teacup. What do you mean data storage, Legion?]
no subject
It is difficult to describe. You not only see the occurence and hear related audio; you know the perspective of those involved.
no subject
[The Drifter is already opening a secondary HUD to take a few notes of this.]
did not encounter any
no subject
(Another thing for them to look into.)
no subject
useful data
[And probably something that should be kept in a museum. Right?]
no subject
(Those would be an excellent addition, they think.)
no subject
[With nothing else to address, their attention returns to the body that Legion was meticulously disassembling.]
require assistance?
no subject
(Companionship. The satisfaction of curiosity over the Drifter's capabilities. Such an interaction would have multiple benefits.)
