JULY EVENT: RIDING THE WAVE

Who: Everyone!
What: The Jormun reappear to allow some transformative fun...and potentially some underwater exploration as well
When: July 10th and onward
Where: Ensō and the ocean floor around it
Warnings: Potential (and fully optional) body/transformation horror may arise when undergoing shifts from land-based to sea-based shapes, and vice versa. Otherwise, tag as you go!

I'll See You on the Other Side
The Jormun resurfaced to greet their old allies on July 8th, bringing with them the offer to explore the ocean floor alongside them. They're not the only old friend that's made a return, however. The kaleidoshells, placid, rainbow-tinted creatures reminiscent of sea turtles, have also made their way to Ensō's shores for their nesting season. For much of the month of July, you'll have to tread carefully around mounds of sand hiding delicate heaps of kaleidoshell eggs. Those of you uninterested in sea exploration can remain on the surface, if you like - the kaleidoshells can make for a stunning sight if you're glimpsing them for the first time as their shells throw off vibrant rainbow swirls of light reflected into the ocean waters.

Predators are always keen to feast on easy prey, and kaleidoshell eggs are no exception. If you feel like protecting them from any hungry slypers or pterax, you'll find that some of the Jormun are happy to stick on the surface with you and assist. They'll even lend you a schlacknorkcvic, which is the Jormun equivalent of a simple driftwood training staff, to help keep any thieving creatures away from the nests of kaleidoshell eggs - though they recommend that you do so peacefully, if possible.

Get Carried Away
Or you can brave the sea waters with the Jormun, instead. With the help of the sne'akleriad pendant, your new, aquatic shape will allow you to navigate the waters just as easily as they. Whether you intend to make use of this new skill to go roaming about and explore some of Ensō's uncharted ocean squares, take a look at that underwater structure that's been sighted before, or just have a joyous time beneath the waves with your new scaly, tentacled, flippered, or be-gilled form, the choice is yours.

[See? This is what happens when you believe in yourself, Kravitz. The impossible becomes possible and believe in the her that believes in you or whatever. Now he can communicate with lobsters and, unfortunately, she won't forget that.

And it's good, because his answer is one she was desperately hoping for. It's been a year since this little ocean creature became a part of their family and finally having a way to see if it's content and happy-that means the world to her. She immediately sits in front of the container, pinching her fingers rapidly because apparently it recognizes that as communication, even if it doesn't totally translate.]

You'll find it lots of treasure, right? Its name is Lobstar, so you have to find star things under the water for it. Then it'll be happier, longer.

[He's just got a long history of giving in to dorks and letting the consequences bite him in the ass, basically. Ren is cute and very happy about this prospect, so sure, he's talking to a lobster. At least when the Jormun leave he'll be absolved of this responsibility.]

I'll keep a lookout, alright? They uhm, oh, one moment--

[Now he's just leaning into it like a goober. Kravitz closes his eyes, even instinctively doing the little hand claw pinch. Fuck it, they're here now.]

Hmm, alright. They say that their favorite thing is shells, actually. Small ones are good. They like to uhm, open them up if they can be opened. So these are things you can find them as well.

[Lobstar is love. Lobstar is life. Live, Laugh, Lobstar.

She kneels down in front of the tank, eyeing the shells already inside. Some are bigger, there's a bunch of rocks and honestly? Kravitz has given all the lobster insight she'll need for the rest of her life. This is the real gift.

Except, once she goes 100 miles down the beach to collect island ikea items to redecorate their home with, Kravitz is going under the water. All of them have been. She hates it, honestly, but there's no talking him out of it, so-]

Okay, okay! I'll remember that kind of thing. I'll make sure Lobstar's very happy while you're gone, but you have to come back very soon so we can all talk again.

[At least he's grinning at her this time. For all of his posturing, he's just happy she's happy, and it gives him a little lift in his step to know that. Or well, the metaphoric lift to his step, seeing as he's missing feet at the moment.]

Don't worry, Ren. I won't be gone too long. I'll look for something for you as well, alright? I'll try to find something I think you would like.

[Which for Ren is uhhhh, anything, but he's still gonna try and make an effort for something that's actually nice and not garbage.]

[The promise of deepsea treasure is enough to shake the horrible gut wrenching fear she has for her family diving to the bottom of hell ocean. Kravitz is strong. Really strong. He can protect himself and she hopes he would leave if there's a chance he couldn't.]

Okay, I'll wait for you. Lobstar and I won't go home until I see your face come out of the water.

[Don't worry Ren, he's got this shit. At least killing things is his specialty, or... re-killing them? Hunting? It's not important.]

So he gives her another wave and shimmies off the sandbar he was perched on to dive down to deeper water. Ren can catch a glimpse of his new tail as he goes, the translucent skeletal patterns apparent in the light. It's a fish uncle. A funcle. And he'll be back soon.]
