I'll See You on the Other Side
The Jormun resurfaced to greet their old allies on July 8th, bringing with them the offer to explore the ocean floor alongside them. They're not the only old friend that's made a return, however. The kaleidoshells, placid, rainbow-tinted creatures reminiscent of sea turtles, have also made their way to Ensō's shores for their nesting season. For much of the month of July, you'll have to tread carefully around mounds of sand hiding delicate heaps of kaleidoshell eggs.

Predators are always keen to feast on easy prey, and kaleidoshell eggs are no exception. If you feel like protecting them from any hungry slypers or pterax, you'll find that some of the Jormun are happy to stick on the surface with you and assist. They'll even lend you a schlacknorkcvic, which is the Jormun equivalent of a simple driftwood training staff, to help keep any thieving creatures away from the nests of kaleidoshell eggs - though they recommend that you do so peacefully, if possible.
Get Carried Away
Or you can brave the sea waters with the Jormun, instead. With the help of the sne'akleriad pendant, your new, aquatic shape will allow you to navigate the waters just as easily as they. Whether you intend to make use of this new skill to go roaming about and explore some of Ensō's uncharted ocean squares, take a look at that underwater structure that's been sighted before, or just have a joyous time beneath the waves with your new scaly, tentacled, flippered, or be-gilled form, the choice is yours.

Frankly, I'm just glad to know other people are having as much trouble adapting as I am.

[He tries to wriggle forward, and it's such a ilarious display of floundering that Golisopod's mirth equates into a horrendous bellow of laughter, throwing his head back and loosing a few bubbles as well. Guzma, unamused, clocks his Pokemon hard with a fist to his heavily armored side. It doesn't hurt either of them, but it does stop the chucklebug from laughing.] SHUT UP!!
You see?! It's like...wriggly back and forth. LIke I'ma tryin'a hula in the water with no legs.
no subject
[Not that that fixes it... hm.] Maybe we should be thinking in terms of... how fish do move, rather than how we feel we should.

[Do you know how Sharpedo travel? By shooting water out their asses. They jet forward through water like little missiles, and Garchomp? Well, those actually have legs, unlike what he has now. Honestly, every shark Pokemon he can think of...defies the laws o how normal sharks traverse the waters in an s-shaped pattern. Pokemon physiology is just fucked up, man. It's fucked up and why he's not running a Pokemon Center anytime soon.]

[Ginko absolutely does not know that, and for a moment he's got to wonder if Guzma is thinking of fish or of octopi? But Guzma pretty obviously doesn't have an octopus body right now.
Ginko is going to have some questions later about how the hell fish Pokemon work. But that's for later.] No, I meant more-- the movement of the tail itself, how to angle your upper body. That kind of thing.
no subject
I mean I...guess I gotta learn to shift my hips back and forth is what I'm thinking. Which, uh, I mean...I guess I can try?
[Hula's not exactly his thing thanks, even if he is an Absolute Killer on the dancefloor, and can indeed shake his hips and booty if needed. He's just not, uh...gonna share that little detail about how well he can move his hips to a stranger, thanks.]
no subject
Something like that... it might help to start from the shoulders? Most fishes' movements seem to start from pretty far forward, and it might help with steering...
[Ginko looks down at his own tail, his mouth twisting slightly.] Yeah, I'm not sure there's a way to do this that doesn't sound ridiculous.
no subject
Shoulders? That...doesn't really sound right, in context to the rest of him, but it's worth a shot? Guzma wrinkles his nose as knots his brows as he tries it, trying to shift his movements in the water and get some...sort of rhythm going. It doesn't so much propel him forward as it does make him wriggle in place like a bizarre sort of eel, or worm, and Golisopod can't help the muted gurgle of laughter that escapes his wide maw. This is the best entertainment he's had in a while.]
Screw this! I'm asking the dang fish people for pointers on this garbage. At least they won't judge. [He shoots a pointed look at his mutinous Pokemon.]
no subject
[Because, wow, he feels like every time he goes anywhere like this he's moving at a crawl.]
no subject
Golisopod can taxi us there 'til we know what to do with ourselves, yeah? It's the least he could do. [Guzma huffs, glowering at his Pokemon, who has its mouth wide open in a mock sort of grin. 8D]
no subject
It's only a short, clumsy swim before he's close enough to take hold of Golisopod's shell, as well, and he snorts quietly.] Should work. Uh... thanks. [Is he talking to Guzma or Golisopod? Unclear.]

Thankfully, getting the assist from the Jormun isn't all that bad. They have their laugh at the others' expense (because of course), but teach them the basics of moving their fishy halves to at least get a good rhythm going. They can at least move forward now, instead of just wriggling around uselessly in the water like a demented worm.]
