[OPEN] A window opens up and someone calls your name
Who: Commander Shepard and YOU!
What: Shepard has just returned from the land of Hiatus and is trying to settle back in!
When: Today, the 15th
Where: A lot of places honestly, but mostly Enso and the Islets
Warnings: PG-13 I'd say! If anything more crops up, I'll edit this to reflect it.
A. The Islets
[It hasn't been too long since she woke up inside her special little home, the crumbling structure that she's claimed as her own. She has no idea that time has passed, and yet... things feel a little different to her than they did before. Perhaps it's because the plants around her home seem just a tad larger than before, maybe the wood creaks louder... It's only a gut feeling however, nothing more, and therefore she gets up and begins her day like nothing has happened at all.
But something did happen, and the dream she had during the night sticks with her as she begins to build her dwelling into something more livable than it is now. Later she'll travel through the islets, quietly checking up on everyone and getting ready to travel back to Enso to retrieve more supplies and see what is happening there.]
B. The Mana Pool
But first, before she makes the trip over, she decides to take a bit of a break by the mana pool on her islet of choice. She's sitting by it casually, wearing her clean and repaired under armor and tries to not think too hard on why she must return to pools like this one rather frequently to stave off the feeling of her very bones creaking and cracking as she moves. Hell, she's barely in her 30s and yet she's already falling apart.
If she happens to see anyone she knows nearby she'll give them a friendly hello as she spends this quiet moment recharging. She wouldn't be against company in general however, acquaintance or no.
C. ENSŌ
[Here is where she gets back to work, making her way over the island to collect whatever she can to be used in building materials and food to add to stocks both personal and designed to be left in caches on the island for anyone who may need them. Places of note she can be found are The Beach where she can be seen trying to clean it up a bit so it's less dangerous to be there and collecting driftwood and pulling it aside to dry. The Ruins are also another place for her to be found as shechecks in makes sure everything is still together. She also hits up the Coconut Trees specifically for more of that sweet sweet fruit. Overall however if it has already been explored you can potentially find her there.]
((ooc: I switched between brackets and prose with these prompts but I don't care all that much so feel free to tag with whatever makes you the most comfortable for anything here!))

Hoisting her knapsack over her shoulder and grabbing her staff, she steps out of the shade of the tarped roof and into the sun.]
Good morning, I don't believe we've met. My name is Mercy. You are...?
♥!
You can call me Shepard.
[She turns a bit more towards her, brow crinkling a bit.]
Your name really Mercy?
♥!!
Pleased to meet you, Shepard. It's my call sign for work. I consider myself on duty on this island, so I use it as my primary form of identification.
[A hesitant pause, a nervous shift. It's only fair that she offer the truth in response to that question.]
You may call me Angela, if you prefer.
no subject
[That catches her attention very quickly.]
Are you a soldier?
[When Mercy-... Angela, tells her her name Shepard smiles.]
Angela. That really gives you an "angel of mercy" vibe there.
no subject
Not a soldier, no. A field medic. I try to be a guardian angel to the soldiers I work--I suppose worked--with. You have military background?
[Some people give off an aura of having seen some shit. To Mercy's experienced eyes, Shepard gives off that aura.]
no subject
I guess with some people it's obvious.
[Other than the Storyteller themself, no one else has put the pieces together about her. Or if they have, they haven't mentioned it. It's been so long now that her initial worry about revealing what she was and who she was has slowly been easing.]
I do. I was a soldier in the Alliance Navy before I came here. My rank was Commander, with the N7 designation. That sound familiar to you at all?
[It's a shot in the dark but you never know.]

Hiya, pal! How you been?
no subject
I've been pretty good. Just trying to adjust to life around here. What about you?
[It hasn't been too long since she saw him last but she still finds herself checking to make sure he hasn't got hurt in the interim.]
no subject
[He doesn't appear to be hurt, and that smile isn't leaving anytime soon.]
no subject
That's good to hear. What kind of friends have you made so far?

Ah, Shepard, it's been a while since I've seen you around. I'm glad to see you're doing well.
no subject
Didn't think it's been that long. I'm glad to see you're doing good too.
[She nods to the coconuts that Muffet is gathering.]
Need some help with those?
no subject
[She notes Shepard's uncomprehending expression, and has a sneaking suspicion the woman isn't quite aware of just what she means.]
You are aware you were gone for at least two weeks, yes?
no subject
Sounds good to me. We don't know what this island could throw at us.
[Her hands freeze before they grab another coconut as she turns to look at Muffet sharply.]
Excuse me, what?
no subject
Two. Weeks.
And you're not the only one who's been missing, either. Marcille's been nowhere I can find her for at least as long.
no subject
[She can feel her skin crawl as, unbidden, she remembers Project Base and the glowing artifact named Rho. Harbinger's yellow eyes glowing out of Dr. Kenson's head. You shall be the first to witness our arrival]
Last I remember is going to sleep in that shitty shack I call a house. After that, waking up.
[She shakes her head.]
There was also that dream, but... that couldn't have lasted two weeks.
[Her head snaps to attention.]
Marcille is gone? Did she leave any evidence behind?

Though he mostly just sounds like an asshole. For a predator, however, Finely honestly doesn't understand the appeal of fruit and vegetables. ]

It's a pretty easy source of many essential vitamins. It takes a lot more effort to hunt and you might not even succeed after all the hassle into it.
[She pauses a bit and sighs.]
But damn, what I wouldn't give for a good burger right around now.
[Now that she is paused she looks to the man speaking to her.]
What's a lander?
no subject
A lander, y'know. Someone who lives on land. I don't, so.
no subject
Well damn. Didn't realize I've been in the ocean this whole time. Could've fooled me.
[Slamming that renegade interrupt aren'tcha, Shepard?]
no subject
I'm a shark, in case you can't tell. [ The webbed hands and feet, the fins jutting out at his elows, the rows of teeth. ] I usually have a tail, too, but I got magicked into some weird fucking lander hybrid thing so I could walk on land.
no subject
Did the Storyteller do that to you?
[Her changes had been more subtle in nature and had taken awhile for her to notice but if she lost a body part woo boy she'd be pissed.]
