I’ll take my throne, lay it on a mountain

Who: Our volunteer mountaineers
What: Two parties split up to scale the mountain from two sides, planning to meet at it’s peak. Shenanigans occur along the way.
When: September 13th to 16th
Where: Group 1: G3, H2, G2 || Group 2: F3, F2, G2
Warnings: Please note any warnings in your subject headers!

Word spreads quickly in a small community such as this. What was originally intended to be a small party turned into something much larger- and on the day Chara planned to leave for the mountain, it’s not one, but two parties that make off for it’s peak.

Group 1, led by Chara, moves off during the early hours of the morning, seeking to search the furthest part of the mountain by following the river upwards. The path is longer and more winding- however, they are unhampered in when they can travel.

Group 2, led by Ardyn, takes off after the sun has set- due to the needs of multiple members to avoid the sun’s harsh glare. Their route takes them up the closest side of the mountain, which provides an easier path- however, they may only travel whilst the sun is set.

OOC: Welcome to the mountaineering open post! Keep in mind the following;
♆ RNG was happily done blind by our wonderful Guzma mun, with our animals RNG'd by Wade Wilson's! Thank them both for all your misfortune.

♆ Prompts have been provided for each group below! Simply toplevel wherever you wish and treat this like a normal open post!

♆ Since each group will generally be in close contact with one another, consider asking others if you can threadjack here and there; nothing says team-building like being a nosy parker.

Mmn, 'nother good point, but I'm just hoping if we do find something, it don't end up being anything we can't handle, y'know? I mean, there ain't much your boy here can't handle, but having them kids 'round ups the ante a bit, yeah?

[Do continue, Pinocchio, your nose isn't nearly long enough. Whether or not Guzma believes his own words is up in the air - he's tough, but he's not indestructible and nor are his pokemon. Hell, being in this place with a bunch of weirdos possessing magical abilities has told him that up close and personal.

But he is concerned that if they stir the pot too much, something rather unpleasant may come bubbling to the surface. The last thing they need is to wake a sleeping dragon or whatever the hell. That would be just their luck.]

I am entirely in agreement.

[She still hasn't forgotten the Fustercluck.]

Not to malign their competence- frankly, they've done better with this situation than many adults might have- but putting children at risk just doesn't sit well with me.

Of course, given their ability to find new and interesting risks all on their own, there's only so much we can really do to stop them...

[Guzma has not run into said beastie, and would probably be best to never encounter it - he has a bad habit of running headfirst into danger. Though, given the nightmare fuel the sheer appearance of it is, he'd probably backpedal immediately, to be fair. There's frightening, then there's downright NO THANKS, and Guzma is wise enough to differentiate.

Guzma nods his head, piping up as he looks around for the two twins and his own little Torchic - she better be resting somewhere, or he's going to kick her in the butt and glue her hiney to a rock.]

For real - them kiddos got a heck of a lotta moxie. Speaking from experience here, my girl ain't nothing to sneeze at, but-- [He frowns, chewing his lip a bit. Something like this seems a bit more intense than a pokemon battle. Then again, Luna's proven her competence and her bravery tenfold. And that other kid - Kidwun, though he's named them Amsonia, after a flower - took out a tigershark with just a little knife. Probably save his and his pokemon's behind.] Mm...guess it is what it is. Ain't no point of making a fuss when we already here, yeah?

[If Luna is a Torchic, doesn't that make Guzma a mother Combusken?]

Mm. They're going to go off into danger one way or another. The best we can do is go with them and try to help as best we can.

[More like an angry papa Pangoro.

Guzma snorts angrily. Yeah, that's for damn sure, and as much as he dislikes it - Luna's got a nose for 'adventure' as she calls it, and he has to sort of wrangle her in with his realism and a bit of mature sense (when it comes his way) so she doesn't get herself hurt or killed. He trusts her strength if that does happen, but he'd really like to avoid it, especially when they're at a huge disadvantage... Their pokemon are weaker, there's no place to heal them, and they're limited to two only. Making gambles is a lot riskier here than it ever was in Alola.]

If they're gracious 'nuff to let us, you mean. Dunno 'bout you, but I was a stubborn little toddler what ain't wanted no one helping me when I was their age. [That didn't change...]
