The recap episode [Closed]
Who: Pyrrha and Yuuri
What: Two girls sit down and figure out what point in the timeline their from.
When: backdated to March 5th
Where: Pyrrha's cottage, the islets
Warnings: Sad feelings, Airlocked memes.
Pyrrha didn't expect her mornings to be full of surprises anymore, not when she's already seen so much. The world itself seemed set to conspire against her, yet again. Because, this morning, she found a Yuuri Wakasa on the beaches that actually recognized her. That almost made up for the Nari who didn't know her. What a dreadfully awkward conversation that had been.
Of course, there was now a rift in need of mending; time, as it seemed, wasn't completely right for either of them. How could Pyrrha be back home for Yuuri if she was here? Just how long had he been home before Yuuri washed up on Enso? It merited investigation and, as readily as Pyrrha would have sat herself down on the sand there for a chat, her cottage wasn't terribly far. Just a skip through the mana pool to the islets. And it had chairs, so, a plus.
She opens the door, beckoning Yuuri inside. The inside evokes a cozy, rustic feeling, and there is noticeably room to spare. She keeps it as clean as can be, considering she's been living alone for some time - Mostly, though there is still the half-sleeping Tigerlily that greets her owner with a low purr, perking up slightly at the sight of a newcomer.]
Please, come in. I know it might not look like much, but apparently people here once started with less.

Really, I'm just glad to know you have a roof over your head. I had this awful image in my mind of everyone stuck in tents.
[ It's a weak joke and it only brings a weak smile to her face as she sits herself down. ]
Then again I suppose a year is more than enough time to start settling... even if I can't quite believe it myself.
no subject
...I think I might have some tea somewhere. Or um, a coconut or two.
[She'll go poking around a few cupboards.
At this point, Pyrrha's Tigerlily decides now it's a good time to investigate the girl currently sitting down. There's a large tiger approaching you, Yuuri. Colorful flowers and vegetation sprout around it's body, mainly in a sort of mane around her neck.]
no subject
With that said, though, she doesn't fuss too much and instead settles herself down on one of the chairs. And no sooner has she sat down is there a... goodness, that looks like a tiger and it's all up in her biz.
It's only the fact that it's just chilling here in Pyrrha's house with no comment that keeps Yuuri from straight up bolting for the door. ]
Ah, um... is this a... friend of yours, Pyrrha-chan?
no subject
The tiger currently up in her biz sniffs at her once, twice. There's a scent to Yuuri. Reminds her of her previous owner.
Pyrrha naturally looks up from what she's preparing, and suddenly realizes that she never explained the leafy tiger that lives in her home. Whoopsie.]
Hm? Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't say anything, I wasn't even thinking about it.
[Ahem. Here we go.]
Yuuri, this is... Well, Yuuri, the Tigerlily. Don't worry about her, she's tamed, and she loves head scratches.
no subject
She's... well, that might get confusing if we're not careful.
[ But she says it with a smile and relaxes a little. If Pyrrha says she's tamed, then Yuuri has full confidence there's nothing to worry about.
... well, okay, almost full confidence. She loves Pyrrha but that's still a tiger right there. As if to prove it, though, she carefully reaches out and gives this goddamn tiger some gentle head scratches. ]
Is she fully grown?

Speaking of...]
It was... a bit confusing at first, but it was Nari's idea. She was the original owner.
[The sound of her previous owner actually perks Yuuri (the cat) up a little, but she's too busy enjoying these scritches. She was patient with Yuuri, and now she seems fairly relaxed, sitting there beside Yuuri (the human).]
We had Kipsie with us too, but I guess she left when Nari did. [She misses that little pigeon.] This whole cottage actually belonged to her.

[ Yuuri's brow furrows. She's about to protest that she's seen Nari, but–
Oh. Oh dear. ]
... Oh, Pyrrha-chan. I'm so sorry. It's one thing to be stuck here by yourself, but having someone with you and then losing them...
[ It rings familiarly and uncomfortably in a way that Yuuri does her level best to ignore. ]
Have you, um... run into her? Since this new group started arriving, I mean.
no subject
Pyrrha reaches up, idly feeling for the heart-shaped, diamond necklace hanging around her neck.]
I ran into her not long before I found you, actually. I... was just so happy to see her again, I didn't think anything of it, at first. But it was obvious she didn't know me, and... I just had to leave, I didn't want to make things awkward for her!
[And she needed to have a good cry somewhere.]
There used to be some others around here. Fukawa, Noctis, and Connie. But, they disappeared too. Ardyn is also here, but he's um... like Nari, I suppose.
no subject
[ Something about the dead-eyed, deadpan way she says interesting kind of gives away exactly what sort of talk it was. Even when he's sat in a tree with a paintgun, Ardyn [STATIC NOISE] Lastnames has to be the king of drama. ]
It's so strange, though. Why not just... bring us here all at once? They must've been able to take us whenever they wanted so what's the point in staggering us out like this?
no subject
[That... definitely seems like Ardyn. For some reason, he and Pyrrha never often crossed paths. Perhaps that was for the best... or, maybe she missed him more than she liked tot hink about. The other Ardyn who she'd talked to so much back in "season five".
...Ah. Tea is done! Pyrrha finally returns, two cups in hand, passing one gently to Yuuri. It's bluescythe, should be made well, she's had practice.]
I wouldn't exactly say there's a "point" to any of it. The Storyteller gets us to 'help' him by living here and telling him stories. [She leans in, voice lowering.] To be honest, I'm not sure what to think. It feels like we're meant to help, but we don't even know how we came here, or how to go home. And the gods aren't exactly the most helpful...
no subject
It's... fine, really. Believe it or not. Don't get me wrong, it's still sort of awful, but he's so different that it almost doesn't seem like they're the same person. So I can handle it.
[ If it'd been Arianna or Heart, Church or god forbid, Junpei, their cheery normal selves and looking through her like the stranger she was... well, she'd be giving Pyrrha a very different answer.
As it is, she chooses to leave that unsaid, opting instead for a muted 'thank you' and a dip of her head as she takes the tea. No use in dwelling on things that'll just upset her. ]
That really seems like it's the running theme with gods. Every single time I hear about one or another, they're either causing trouble or someone's mopping up after their mess. I get the feeling this is a little bit of both.
no subject
But Nari was different, she loved Nari. She had her, lost her, and found her again. But this time, it just wasn't right. And she refused to press on with her own feelings towards someone who didn't reciprocate.]
You're right. This Ardyn is... definitely different from the one we know. He's aware of who I am when I first met him, though. I imagine Noctis probably had something to do with that while he was here.
[A shame he didn't last...]
It feels like all the Storyteller really cares for is what happens to us here. So, whether we're having fun, or... suffering, he expects a tale out of it. [She sighs, blowing on her own cup at the same time.] The other gods govern other things, I haven't really made the effort to look into it too much, and they don't bother anyone as much.
[At least, she hopes.]
...Sorry. I'm not exactly making this any better, am I? This world isn't that bad. You get used to it, after a while.
