I like it when I sense things that I can’t see yet

Who: Foster, Muffet, and the Knight
What: Exploration of Monsun!
When: 1/11
Where: Monsun D4
Warnings: Foster's here, but nothing specific atm

It was really, really inevitable that the puddles of Voidish goo would attract Foster, moth to flame, the imminent danger to his insatiable need to throw himself over every grenade.

Yeah.

The good news is that something about this side of Monsun has actually evaporated Foster's obsequious and aggressive self-deprecation, and with it his tendency to reverse-psychology people out of or into doing whatever it is he wanted them to (not?) do in the first place. Which you'd think would actually be his worse nature, but apparently not.

Because he's actually still sort of an asshole. Just a more direct one. And a lot more... confident about it.

For example: he's totally blown of both of his companions to investigate the evidence of something wrong, and kneels over a pool of tar-black fluid. He can feel, hovering his paw over it, that something is wrong about it.

So, of course, he dips the tips of his claws into it.

[Muffet gently pats the Knight on the head with one of her hands, because she physically cannot just ignore a tiny adorable bug child clinging to her. It's just not possible.]

[Fortunately, she's good at multitasking, so she has no trouble casually continuing her... conversation? Whatever this is.]

Hm... well, I can't exactly examine your nerves at the moment, but I could take a look at your soul and see if anything seems amiss, if you like.

[She's helping. Sort of.]

I don't know if we're going in a specific tag order or not and by this point I'm too afraid to ask.

Green?

[Muffet arches a proverbial eyebrow. She's not shocked, per se, but she is intrigued, now.]

Most people I've met outside my own species seemed to be unaware that souls had colors, until I brought it up in conversation, let alone already aware of their own shade. Did you have the opportunity to examine yours, at some point?

[Welp, there's a lot to unpack there... but on the other hand, it's not exactly her baggage. Possibly it's better to stay on-topic.]

[The idea of of a soul being partially taken, though... Now that is new. Muffet is certainly curious- though, ever precise, she still takes the time to ask:]

To clarify, do you mean that a part of your soul is no longer in your possession? Or is it that all of it still remains within you, but is not entirely under your control?

[They are talking about the manifestation of someone's being, after all. Accuracy is important.]
