Island Living
Who: Prompto, Ignis, OTA
What: Various things!
When: Various times! Can be over a period of days
Where: Around Enso and Islet #1
Warnings: Awkwardness
Building Time! - OTA, Islet #1 Cabin #2
After getting some tips from Kid, Prompto went back to the cleverly named Islet #1 to help try and build a cabin for the guys. It went without saying that he, Noct and Ignis were going to stay together. It was hard to imagine it being any other way - the only confusion was wondering if Nyx would be joining them.
Other than that, it was mostly a group of city boys trying to figure out how to put it together. Gathering supplies, moving stones, deciding where to put a cooking pit, what to use the tarps for... There was a lot of figuring out to do.
Not to mention they weren't the only one. Prompto worried less about people like Kid and more about the actual kids on the island. Sure, they wanted to have their shelter to sleep in, but if they finished it could they really plop down for bed and leave some kid stranded outside?
And, perhaps something Prompto worried about more than the others, there were the girls. Some of them seemed tough as nails or had magic or something else to take care of themselves, but there were also ladies like Terra, who seemed to lost and confused, and J, who seemed more like a city person. He was just fortunate that he was with a group of guys that he wouldn't have to argue with - they would give up their space to help someone else for a while, no doubt about that. They weren't the only ones out here trying to figure out where they'd be sleeping.
While he was carrying a stone over to their spot he paused for a second next to someone, asking softly, "Hey, you okay?"
Weavers Unite - OTA, Enso
After learning about weaving, Prompto had gotten himself some palm fronds to work with and was trying to figure them out. It was a whole new art to him, so they were loose and awkward as he worked on it, made with hands that weren't confident in what they were doing.
Was it too thick? It seemed like weaving the leaves together was making a solid slat almost rather than a fishing net. His initial plan had been to make something to fish with, but it was looking more like something to put on the roof of a hut. It was just sort of straight and stiff not at all a bag.
Maybe that wasn't something to complain about. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he looked it over to figure out what he was doing.
Hunting - OTA, Enso
Prompto usually used ranged weapons, but that didn't mean he couldn't melee. Taking along a knife from his group, he decided to catch some food today rather than trying to climb another tree. Today's menu? Snaplings. They looked enough like crabs that Prompto figured they probably tasted like them, too.
If he could just used his gun this would be a piece of cake. How his fingers itched to be on the trigger as he crouched down behind some rocks and kept an eye on some potential prey, knife in hand. If he was careless it could get away. If he did this right? Maybe they'd get a nice snapling soup tonight. And maybe those shells could be used for something, too...
Coffee - Closed to Ignis, Ruins, Backdated
Just as the Storyteller had promised, Prompto awoke to several potted coffee plants lined up in the ruins. Not only were they already covered in beans, but there seemed to be a bunch of seeds to go with him. He didn't know anything about coffee. He didn't know how many plants it took to keep one coffee drinker satiated, or how to make coffee without a coffee pot, or how long they took to grow from seeds, but still he was ecstatic. He just wanted to show Ignis what they had. He'd even made sure to ask that they be the same kind of beans that were used in Ebony! He did good.
Naturally, Ignis had gotten up well before he did, though he had no way to know something like that was sitting in the ruins. Ignis was always the first to be up and ready, getting breakfast ready for them when they were still tossing and turning. It wasn't exactly hard to find the other man.
He jogged up excitedly, grabbing lightly at Ignis' sleeve as he spoke, "Hey, Iggy! I have to show you something!"
His tone was most definitely lighter than it had been for many things recently, what with how much they were dealing with.
Dirty Boy - OTA, Enso, the scandalous prompt?
Prompto did like bath time, and not having a tub was definitely not cool. He had no intention of going around smelling like the King of Garbage, especially not when there were pretty girls walking around. So while he was out and about and seemed to have some amount of privacy, he decided to take a dip in the river. And he went in naked. He'd be in and out in a jiffy, after all!
So there he was, minding his own business scrubbing with his clothes kind of sort of in a somewhat 'neatish' pile on the shore.

weavers unite
[Ardyn had stayed out of the sunlight as much as possible since arriving on the island, and when he caught sight of Prompto it was from beneath the relative shade of a tree he was idly leaning against.]
My, I do hope you're not intending to repair one of those unfortunate little shelters with a rather patchwork method like that.
no subject
Still, the sound of his voice caused Prompto to jump from his spot, abandoning the loosely woven leaves on the ground as he instinctively reached towards his hip. Hearing that Ardyn was here was much different than... well, hearing Ardyn.
But just because he was more than reasonably angry at Ardyn didn't mean he could just waste all his bullets. What good would it even do? They weren't even on their own world here. Staying his hand, he pursed his lips together before responding in an irate tone.]
It's a net.
[The most roof-like net ever. How dare you make fun of it.]
no subject
[He hadn't even blinked at the sudden movement; really, even if Prompto did attack him, what would it actually matter in the long run?]
no subject
[A little petty, but he'd just been taken by surprise by an Ardyn. Had it been any of the guys he likely would have admitted failure immediately.
Despite his posture 'relaxing', the tension didn't drain from his body at all.]
It's not like you know how to do any better.

Hunting~!
At least she hadn't scared it off yet.

Prompto would gladly go hungry rather than blame Terra for scaring any food away. He was just excited to see her after he hadn't found her on the beach. He had wondered if she'd shown up at all. The first time he had been made somewhat aware that everyone in the dream didn't necessarily show up on the island. Mostly through word of mouth, since his friends had all shown up.
He was so elated that he was barely able to keep his voice to a whisper.
"Terra!" he called out to her, doing his best not to alert the snapling as he waved her over to the rocks.

Coffee - Closed to Ignis, Ruins, Backdated
Fortunately, his past self had learned from that disastrous dungeon run where they got stuck away from the surface for much longer than planned causing him to go into full blown caffeine withdrawal. A few caffeine pills became a staple part of the first aid kit he always carried with him. Half a pill every few days kept away the worst of the symptoms at the beginning of things, and he eventually got down to a 4th of a pill as time passed. Now near the end of the month, he knows he has only a pill or two left and will soon have to deal with full withdrawal, but at least he's lowered the amount of caffeine his body is used to getting so it won't be so bad. It's also quieter now. Hopefully, a few days of crabbiness and increased irritability won't be that big a deal.
Ignis has just finished sliding the pill case into the first aid kit and attaching it back to his belt when Prompto all but bounces over to him. He stands, turning in the blonde's direction as his sleeve is pulled. It's really no surprise when a small smile crosses his face. How can anyone resist such a happy, excited boy?
"Good morning to you too, Prompto. What is it you wish me to see so badly?" He puts just a touch of extra stress on 'see' hoping to remind the boy, gently, he can't see anything and will need a description of whatever wonder is awaiting them this morning.
no subject
"C-Come on, you'll know when we get there, I'm sure of it." Like an excited puppy he kept pulling, albeit gently. In no way did he want to pull Iggy off balance or anything, and once Iggy got going he'd be more careful about actually guiding him than just tugging on him. The last thing he needed to go along with his present was Iggy face-planting on the ground.
no subject
"Whatever you found must sure be something else. I don't suppose it's my workstation, is it?" An amused look crosses Ignis' face for a moment, before being replaced by a slightly more serious expression as he remembers that the blonde is not the only one who has found something.
"That reminds me. When I was going through my pack this morning, I found that the Storyteller followed through on their promise and supplied me with the sunscreen I asked for." He was supplied with something else as well, but that item is remaining a secret for now, "Before you head out next, make sure to ask me for it. I believe there is enough for Weiss and her friends as well as long as we are conservative with our usage. Do let Noct know when you see him next, will you?"

Dirty Boy - I'm sorry
While Prompto was bathing, another completely naked figure rose out from the water, not even blinking as he cautiously used some of the soap on his locks.
"Oh. Hey Chocophoto."
no subject
As he swished around he responded in an effort to be smooth, "Oh, hey. Jaune?" Could he hear how suave that wasn't? It was stilted and an octave too high. But when Prompto leaned forward eagerly the next words came out much more naturally, "You have soap?!"
no subject
For now. "It's not quite those magic pools, but it gets the job done." At least now he was swimming toward him, the water hiding more of his body. He stopped and waded there, holding up the bar. "What, this? It came in my knapsack." Usually he left it just for Weiss, but now he was desperate.
...Prompto had been kind enough to share the oatmeal with him. "Do you need to borrow it?"

dirty boy; i decided to be super mean
That said, she's being quiet enough and kind of off near some plants, investigating some flowers at the edge of the water, and she's hot enough that she's removed her bolero and petticoat. Everything above water right now looks naked since the rest of her dress leaves everything above her breasts bare. Rather thankfully, she is not naked in the water with Prompto right now.. but viewing her back from a distance, Prompto may not realize that at first. Oops. It's a good thing she's being quiet and not attracting attention- or, she wasn't until she accidentally startled a frog into hopping over her head and then swimming away into the water with a little ploop noise, followed by Weiss yelping and covering her head with her hands. ]
Re: dirty boy; i decided to be super mean
So many jumbled thoughts all seemed to smash together in his mind. It was like he couldn't form a complete coherent thought.
Was she in danger? He should help her!
But.... But she was naked. He should look away.
But he couldn't leave her there alone if something happened to her. She looked totally scared!
And totally naked.
But what if she was hurt? She might need a bandage.
But if he tried to bandage her with something he'd be touching her.
What if there was some creature lurking in the bushes over there threatening her? Worse, what if it was some perv?!
It was like a train wreck happened in in his frontal lobe and each thought was ramming into the last. The only time he'd ever seen a girl like this was in Gladio's nudie mags that he definitely didn't look at.
After being frozen in place for way too long - it was a good thing she wasn't in danger - he finally swiveled around to face the other way, covering his head and creating some 'blinders' for himself with his arms. He was going to be a gentleman. He was not going to stare at her glorious soft looking shoulders or boobs should she turn around.]
A-Are you okay?!
[And Weiss was just going to see a guy cowering down the river.]
no subject
So when she turns around and sees Prompto in all his glory, it takes her a moment to process. She's beet red in only a few moments, glancing down curiously before forcing her eyes back up and putting both hands in front of her to cover the water spot where she can see the only barely water-obscured offender. Look, she's never seen a penis in person before it took her a second to process how to deal with this. ]
Prompto! Where are your shorts?!

Scandalous~
Oh dear, terribly sorry.
[Fun fact: Prompto is, in fact, the second member of his cast Muffet has accidentally seen bathing. All she needs to do is walk in on Ignis and she'll be three for three.]
[As with the last unfortunate incident, she immediately turns around and looks fixedly at a nearby tree, so as to maintain politeness by not staring in his direction.]
no subject
Still, even if Muffet was a spider monster, she was still a girl. He covered the already fairly hidden jewels with both hands, letting out a strangled little squeal in response to her voice.]
Oh, uh... H-Hey, Muffet...
[If there was a way to make him even more awkward, this was definitely it.]
I'm almost tempted to have her just leave immediately and run into him again in a different prompt.
Hello, dearie, apologies for the interruption. I'll just... go, shall I?
I'm beginning to think we ought to pick a part of the river and put up a privacy screen of some kind, this is probably getting uncomfortable for everyone...
Go for it if you want!
Okay. :D I'm thinking of the weavers prompt, unless you'd like something else?
Fine with me!

hunting
So now, like Prompto, she's got her knife in hand, and is eyeing that same Sapling from behind a tree near the edge of the beach. She doesn't see Prompto though; she might let him try and get the sapling himself if she had. Instead, she comes out of her hiding spot and starts approaching the animal slowly, though unfortunately not nearly quiet enough. Her feet crunch against fallen leaves by accident and the creature instantly seems to move away.
Oops. Sorry about that. It doesn't seem to have scurried too far at least?
no subject
"Psst."
He peeked out from behind the rock and waved her over before ducking back down. They could still salvage this.
no subject
"Were you trying to catch that thing too?" she asks him quietly once she's behind the rock. Now she feels bad; her mistake could have cost him something to eat as well. "I'm sorry. I'm not... good at hunting stuff."

Building Time
Normally it would be nap time, but all things considering, that was going to have to wait. "What do you need help with?"
no subject
He hefted the stone up. It wasn't a complete piece. At some point it had been broken in half, with one side being uneven and jagged. Prompto wasn't a huge guy, so he was carrying these things around one at a time with both hands.
"I think if we can get these all lined up and figure out some way to glue'em together, that'd be a good start?" Seemed as good of a way to get started as any. "Not sure about how to do a roof yet, though."
