I Pray for the Ground to Swallow Me Whole
As of November 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Maati.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square, within the temple of the avatar that dwells here. Their temple is a sturdy thing, built into and around the chestnut trees that thread deeply into its very construction. The symbol of the eagle can be found nearly everywhere one looks.

Three guesses as to what shape the avatar of this land assumes.

[It's not Harv's overenthusiastic greeting, nor the Storyteller's occasional laugh at his expense. And ironically, it's much more familiar this way than not. The Raven Queen was oft impartial, and this is no different. He knows he's deluding himself in any comfort in similarity they'll bring, but he's gonna take this one, okay.]

I'm sure there are. Our last welcomer was quite in need of some help- is there anything you need help with here? Something you need found or completed?

That is generous of you to offer. At present, it is a change of pace to have the company here at all.

Yes, we heard much of the same from Harv. I assume it's been quite long since you've had proper communication. You wouldn't happen to know how long, would you? The Storyteller is a bit fuzzy on the timing details occasionally.

Oh, no. That, I could not tell you.

[Keeping company is well and good; Anbaki might be direct enough for their sincerity to be evident, but they are unfortunately not the best at conversation.]

Time is rather difficult to keep track of.

Well, I... yes, alright. I suppose feel free to contact us anytime if you want us to figure something out, or-- actually, uhm. I was in talks with Harv about installing some communication for you to us and the Storyteller, if you're amicable to that.

Alright, I'll-- I'll be sure to make those arrangements. I also encourage you to reach out to any of us if there's things you need or if there's anything you'd like to impart on us about this island. I think we're all interested in it's discovery to us, but a bit wary from previous rather deadly experiences.

This island is not uninhabited. Plenty of beings have made their home among the rocks, and it has been some time, as I've said, since they have had visitors.

[If they perceive that their meditative, vague disposition is an irritant in any way, they do not show it. Their responses are placid as ever.]

Some will not, no. But others are quite docile. It would depend on what sort of entity with which you cross paths.

And some examples of these unwelcoming entities could be...?

The words and names of things are not my strong suit. I believe..."golem" is the common term of those larger, rockier creatures. Most that dwell here have an affinity for cliffs and rocky places.
