[The initial search of the regions of A6 and A7 turn up several plants worth noting: fireweed, chicory, and sorrel are all handily edible herbs that could benefit from being relocated to Ensō, with a bit of work.]

[Kravitz has been trying to get a bit more out and about this month. After everything with Umui and the subsequent fallout, he just needs to... put it behind him. And thankfully, he knows nearly everyone in this group, so he doesn't need to be weird about it. It's cool. So cool.

After a bit of silence when they start out, he clears his throat.]

So, how has everyone... been. Since everything.

[Discussion about feelings never goes over well, mostly because the Drifter only semi-recently had to come to terms with the fact that they do, in fact, have feelings, and have felt many feelings, and continue to feel things now! They are a little bit tired of feeling things, at this point, and would like to swap that out with some good, old-fashioned Doing Of Things instead.]

[ The Knight gives a tiny, very enthusiastic thumbs-up, for their part, and a sort of 'point back to return the question' in response. They lived! Some people didn't! They're choosing to focus on the first thing instead of the second thing because they're pretty tired of death in general!

They pick out some chicory, clearly delighted with the flowers' pretty blue colours. They scrutinize the Drifter for a second for some unknown purpose, looking back and forth between the blue tones of the flowers they've gathered in their arms and their friend, and then sort of shrug a bit.

What they're doing will remain a mystery for now. They stick one behind their horn, a precariously balanced ornament, and continue to gather. ]

[Oh man, confronting the fact that you Feel Things is such a trip. Kravitz would also adore replacing Feeling Things with Doing Things, hence why he's out here. But he also feels the pressing need to be polite and make conversation, even though he is horrible at actually doing that. Incredible.

He nods at their responses, casually not mentioning all that dying he did that is thankfully behind him now. (Or well, not thankfully, he shouldn't be alive in the first place-- but that's an entire separate predicament.)]

Alive-- Alive is good. Alive is very good.

[He lapses into silence for another moment while he struggles to think of a safe topic.]

Thankfully this island is much more welcoming, hm? No need to question it's purpose, the god simply tells you. It's wonderful.

[The Drifter is busy expanding their current map of the island, denoting their current location and measuring it compared to where they came from. Kravitz chatters on, and the Knight appears to be...picking flowers? That manages to snag their attention for a moment, if only to wonder quietly why they might adorn one of their horns with one, but they do not dwell on it for long.]

[They are not particularly averse to flowers, even after their near scrape.]

[Kravitz is the obvious talker here, so the Drifter addresses him, seemingly apropos of nothing.]

[Keith brings up the rear of the group. He only really knows Kravitz. But that's fine. He's out here to scout and make more connections. He'd introduced himself at the start, choosing to walk about in his old black and purple Marmora gear.] Maybe Harv will have some ideas of where to grow it? Unless you already talked to them.

Anyway yeah, it's pretty refreshingly straightforward. Never thought I'd see that again. [After a moment's pause he adds.] It's good downtime.

[He nods towards the Drifter, because it is important they're out her to actually do something, not just go for a casual stroll.]

Right, we're just-- looking for open spaces, right? Harv didn't let us know there was a field or anything?

[Kravitz glances towards Keith as he speaks, too, seeing as they're asking very similar things.]

[A shake of their head. No. No direction. But - ]

[While A7 didn't turn up in the way of resources, it did turn up ample land for the cultivation of papyrus plants. And with Harv having provided the shoots necessary to start their field, they'd better get to it.]

[So who here knows something about farming?]

(Legion, as it happens, knows quite a bit about farming.

They'd probably be most useful using their strength and tirelessness for physical labor, but farming knowledge is apparently rather limited among this group, so currently they're trying to help figure out the most efficient way to actually do this instead.

Keyword: trying.

They could be more useful if their source of farming knowledge wasn't a completely alien planet, with an ecology entirely inedible to every person and creature living on these islands.)

[The Drifter, conversely, knows very little about farming. They have gleaned a little in their months here - enough to know that papyrus is useful for the production of paper, and that it is a plant that can be grown, but most of their history was not written on paper, but engraved on stones and monoliths.]

[Still, a repository for knowledge would be useful.]

[The Drifter has the shoots in hand, arrayed in simple clay-like pots. They're thin, cheaply made - likely won't last very long after the plants have been displaced.]

[What he knows about farming hasn't been necessary to remember for almost a century, and he doesn't look remotely strong enough for the work now, if he ever did. He was a beanpole in life too, just ask him. But... confidence! Act confident, and you're already halfway there! As long as they believe in him, it's all good.]

I know they need to grow in water, the same way rice does. It'll keep out some of the weeds, too.

(They're near the sea, but that might not actually work: water may have to be brought here from elsewhere on the island.)

[ They don't...know that much about farming, per se, but they've seen farming enough to make an educated guess. And while they don't know much about land plants, they do know about sea plants, having spent an awful lot of time on this island swimming about. ]

[He's not entirely sure what the Knight said, but he saw ocean and water so he figures they haven't entirely changed topics.

People who know shit all about farming but happen to know a lot about papyrus, specifically: Connor. He did harvest the entire crop of it off Monsun several months ago, so he's also in possession of the knowledge of how to utilize papyrus. They just, uh. Have to grow it first!]

So, uh. We're gonna have to dig irrigation ditches, probably.

Acknowledged. Perhaps a division of labor is necessary.

Our physical strength and infrequent need for recharge makes us well suited for physical labor.

(There should be more than just them working on digging but they're not 100% sure of everyone else's capabilities or desires. Even the Knight, a fellow synthetic, is a mystery to them.)

[Fresh water will require transportation and irrigation, which is likely to make this a difficult endeavor in this part of the island. Difficult, but not impossible. And "impossible" has never particularly been an obstacle, as far as the Drifter is concerned.]

They briskly walk over to Drifter and Legion. Physical work is no issue for them; combat is more tiring than simple, repetitive tasks like digging. SORRY, HECTOR. ]
