(no subject)

Who:  Jules Dagger Samari and OPEN
What:  Dealing with wildlife in rather humorous ways.
When:  Mid-September
Where:  Nuidan (no specific location)
Warnings:  Jules has a tendency to push people's buttons. He does it on purpose. Provide him the ammunition and give him a reason and he'll do everything possible to piss off your character. He tends to be inflammatory if pressed. If you are concerned he might bother you as a player because of something he says, please don't tag him. I don't want to upset any player.

Bees

He had only been looking! He hadn't even gotten that close! None of that mattered as Jules sprinted through the grass away from the small hive of bees he'd found. Nearly the entire swarm was chasing after him.
"I didn't even do anything! I was just thinking it!"

He'd been trying to come up with a good way to harvest some of the honey without completely destroying the hive. There was no way the bees would have known that unless they'd been psychic though. Seriously, what the hell? One stung him in the cheek and he jerked away, running faster as he did.

"Ow, damn it! I'm going! I'm going!"

Goats

Jules didn't trust the apples in the orchards.  It was far too easy for something like that to become tainted, purposefully or otherwise.  They were fully accessible after all.  Realistically he knew they're probably alright, but his paranoia wouldn't let him eat them himself.  That didn't mean they couldn't be used in other ways.  His pockets and a make-shift t-shirt backpack were overflowing with apples as he crouched in the high grass of Nuidan.  A small herd of goats was a short distance away.  One specifically was looking right at him.

He whistled softly.

"Here, goat goat.  I have something yummy for you."

It was very odd hearing such a soft and sing-songy baby voice coming from such a large and intimidating male.  He was incredibly good at it though.  No matter how incongruous it was, he has two female toddlers at home, so he has had a lot of practice.  He held out the apple to show the goat and tossed it a few feet in front of the animal.  After remaining stock still for a moment, it took two steps closer to pick at the apple.  A beaming smile lit Jules' face.  Hopefully his patience would pay off and he could get a hold of the animal.  There was no way to poison the milk inside a goat without poisoning the goat itself, and this one was clearly healthy.

This is ridiculous. Leonard hasn't run in years, but he quits pointing and dashes toward it instead. It's on the other side of a small rise, which is why neither of them could see it from where they were before.

At this point, if Jules jumps in the water, Leonard knows he himself will become the target of the bees' ire, so he goes ahead and runs into the water as soon as he reaches it.

The pool of water is maybe 3 feet deep at the most. Leonard makes his way to the center and crouches, the unpleasant sensation of mud squishing under his hands and knees.
