Hey, [ starts the Shark-Man to the nearest person. Unfortunately for Ed, that happens to be him. ] Hey, hey. [ Obnoxious, but hopefully it gets the other guy's attention. ]
You wanna go with me to the shore over that way? [ A vague point in the direction he's planning to go. ] I don't care about these ruins, I wanna see if I can figure out how big this island is. [ A beat. ] If I can swim around it, maybe?
Figure two is better than one. Or whatever. I'll fish you up some food if you want for helping out.
[ Seems like a pretty solid deal to him. ]

If anyone finds Finley later that evening, he's flopped onto the ground pathetically. His usually pink fleshy torso is now a lovely shade of red. His feet have mild burns on their undersides because he goes barefoot just about everywhere. Everything hurts. ]
I hate this place, [ he whines, to no one in particular. Pity party commenced. ]

[Much like her green magic, this one carries a kind of feeling with it when examined closely- it certainly doesn't feel safe and gentle like the green did, but it doesn't exactly project a sense of malevolence either. More a feeling of... resolution, maybe, a clinging endurance.]
I don't necessarily have to, it just happens to be the type of magic for which I've got the most talent.
They're helpful for defending myself in a fight, certainly, although they do have other uses- I've often used them to cross large gaps, or stick myself to walls and ceilings so I can walk up them without those pesky limitations of gravity.
Here on the island, they've mostly been handy for fishing and hunting.
