She'll Need A Name
Who: Kaworu Nagisa and Ginko
What: Taming a Tigerlily Kitten
When: September 7
Where: Enso
Warnings: Possible mention of a different cat's death in Kaworu's canon--not the tigerlily kitten, though. She's very fierce and brave and will be totally fine.
Kaworu doesn't see the kitten stalking him from the flowers.
Of course he doesn't. He's blind.
He isn't even sitting on the ground right now; he's floating with his shoes just a couple feet off the ground, and it's his shoes that the tigerlily is stalking, really... or more specifically his shoelances, which are untied. He knows something small is nearby, because it's not that far from him, really, and inching closer every second. He can feel that.
But he doesn't really think it's aiming for him until suddenly something has him by the foot and it's physically flailing around and--knowing no fear--he grabs it off him with a frown and for about four seconds, has a tigerlily kitten around the middle, its tail whipping back and forth, its little forepaws still reaching for his shoe.
Then it turns to spit a whole cloud of pollen in his face.

two infantsboy and kitten just as Kaworu scoops up the little tigerlily - and gets a face full of pollen for his trouble. It would be sort of funny if it weren't for the fact that... well, this place has a way of surprising people in bad ways. And, also, Ginko sure has caught Kaworu - albeit a different Kaworu, apparently - killing a child, so... you know. He suspects this will end poorly for either Kaworu or the kitten, if not both.
So he hurries up to them both, ready to scoop the kitten away from Kaworu if necessary. "You alright?"
Did you know this log is named after a TMBG song
The kitten has done him no harm, though--as Ginko reaches the Angel and his diminutive assailant, the kitten is dropped and a hexagonal ripple can be seen through the cloud of pollen.
"I'm fine," he replies neutrally, as though he wasn't nearly subjected to some kind of botanically-themed chemical warfare. And then he straightens out, the toes of his shoes just centimetres off the ground, and bends to pick the tigerlily kitten back up.
Unless Ginko is especially concerned about why Kaworu isn't even looking at him, it isn't especially apparent that he's blind at all.
i did not but now i do!
"What happened over here?"

Kaworu 'watches' without helping at all.
Of course, he has no idea what's going on. But he wouldn't have helped anyway. Probably.
"It's a cat."
That was... helpful, thank you Kaworu.

"Uh... yeah, so I've noticed. I was wondering more about why it was trying to... spray you."
That's probably not the best way to put it, but. He's trying.

"I don't even know what it did. I was just sitting here and it attacked me." One second he was refusing to acknowledge the physical world because he was inconvenienced by it, the next second it was 4 kg of flailing animal on his foot.
"What was I supposed to do?"
no subject
"At least you both seem to be alright." Judging by how casual Kaworu is acting, and the kitten's... everything. Against his better judgement, he sits down on the ground to get a better look at it.

Kaworu's warning is charitable, for him. But he's more interested in Ginko than the kitten. It came to him, not the other way around.
The kitten herself sniffs Ginko's hand, then bites it, rolling over to sink all of her sharp claws into his arm. 'Playing.'

...Beyond, you know, the obvious. Ginko hisses through his teeth and pulls his arm back, placing his other hand gently on the kitten's head to discourage this. "--Ow. I hope you know you can't actually take me down."
