[ Mira's pretty glad she has such a big group of people she trusts. She would have asked Nari to join, but... she isn't sure she'd want to be away from Pyrrha, not after Umui. Still, she's glad to have so many people with her, and as they explore, she can be found making sure everyone is hydrated and keeping fed.

... she has a lot of fruits and vegetables, after all. And Daisy, her most excellent corgi, is joining them! If nothing else, come meet the doggo. ]

Alright, there doesn't seem to be any danger...but let's be careful anyway. [Keith says as Ember his phoenix launches from his arm into the air. He whistles and makes a sweeping gesture with his hand. Scout. The bird circles once and flies ahead.]

I sent Ember ahead. If they see anything, we'll get a warning.

[ A phoenix... Mira's amazed as she watches Ember fly away, and Daisy is interested in the new friend, which she... runs after until she can't anymore. ]

You have a very smart bird. [ It helps ease her nerves, a little, that they have a lookout. ] Thank you. I just hope this island is nicer than the last.

[ She shakes her head, but she's definitely interested. And she can make a guess about what it is... ]

It does. We saw it rise...I can retell the story sometime. It's best told when I have a lot of sand to draw on.

[His lips twitch and he smiles just a bit. It lights up his eyes.]

He was really tiny at first and covered in soot. I...don't know if he'll get any bigger but he falls asleep the moment it gets dark.

[ and somehow ann got roped into all of this, but it's fine! she doesn't mind. new friends, right? she smiles over at mira, giving daisy some headpats while they stop for a quick break. ]

[ Daisy is absolutely enthralled to have attention and headpats. Her whole butt is wiggling as she nudges against Ann's leg for more. ]

It is, I think. It's definitely refreshing... and it's so peaceful, too.

Hopefully it stays that way, right? I have my knife with me, but otherwise, I'm not really prepared to take on any danger.

Mm, I agree. [ Daisy is absolutely loving this, and she licks Ann's hand. ] I have a knife, too, but... I'd rather not have to use it.

Agreed. The wildlife back on Enso didn't seem super hostile, so fingers crossed that whatever we find here won't be so bad?

[ ann is here wearing her succubus juicy squad shorts, and she was certainly not prepared for the sudden weather change. it's cloudy, and the air smells like farmland. everyone else might be used to this; ann, being a newcomer straight out of tokyo, thinks it smells pretty bad. she wrinkles her nose and her brow knits as they venture further onto spring's territory. ]

Ick. This really is an animal island...

[ and then, they discover the oats! ...though ann isn't really sure what they are. she just knows that they're some kind of crop, and it's probably really useful. she's the first to run down to the crops, a wide smile on her face as she inspects them loosely. ]

[While this wasn't the sort of thing she'd done a lot of, Pidge was, at the very least, somewhat prepared for the sudden weather change. Then again, her usual combo of sweater and shorts means she's generally prepared for most things.]

[If the smell in the air's anything to go by, that is. But it's not really that bad, and they've probably been through worse. She's just about to speak up and point out that it could be worse, when Ann goes running ahead. Instead, she's just going to make her way over as quickly as she can without actually running.] Yea! I'm... not sure what that is, though. Anyone else?

[ sometimes ann wonders how pidge isn't dying in that sweater from the heat, but hey, as long as she's comfortable.

and, well. one of these days pidge will have to tell ann about her space adventures. because while ann loves being outdoors, she is very much a city girl and isn't really used to the smell. well...at least she's not complaining, now that they've finally found something! ]

Guess we'll just have to figure it out ourselves, huh? Sorry I can't be more helpful!

[It's probably a good thing she's always run a little colder than most people, otherwise she might've had to rethink the sweater. Then again, the fact that she's wearing shorts probably helps a lot.]

We're pretty smart. I think we can figure it out between the two of us. And hey, don't be sorry! I'm probably not the best at this kind of thing either.
