Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.

And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.

the convenient thing about being rude to erika is that she usually deserves it anyway tbh

Wow, that's... kind of sad to watch, but also, frankly, hilarious. Erika keeps some distance between herself and the hives, but doesn't bother to hide a snort of laughter before calling out to the guy running from the bees.

"You sure you weren't nervous going in? I've heard bees can smell fear!"

She absolutely has not heard that anywhere, ever, because it's bullshit, and yet.

"I've faced a lot worse things than bees!"

The only thing he'd been nervous about was harming them or their hive. Stupid bees should have been pleased he'd been worried about that. Even with them stinging him, he was still concerned about doing too much damage. He had quite a few means at his disposal to try and stop them, but all of those would leave quite a few bees dead.

"Sure about that? Bees are pretty scary!"

Okay she guesses she should probably, like... make some amount of an effort to be helpful here. She looks around, frowning slightly. "Uh-- any water around here you could jump into?"

Not that he can see, and he hasn't been around long enough to know much beyond what is in eyesight. He certainly hadn't run across any lakes or streams on his way here.

"Oh sure, just let me pause and create one. It'll take a while to work up that much pee, but sounds like a great idea!"

"You can do it, I believe in you!" Alternately - "Do you think they'll give up if you run long enough?"

With his luck, hell no. They probably wouldn't even give up after he stopped running and they could swarm him.

"Seriously hoping I'll come up with an idea that doesn't involve killing them if I keep running long enough."

At this point, Erika is running along with him - at a safe distance, of course, just shouting from far enough off that - she hopes - the bees won't decide she's a threat, too.

"Well, I'll let you know if I think of anything! Or I could go, y'know, check around preemptively and see if anyone's got stuff for treating bee stings."

Then it hits him. The one good option he has that will keep him from getting stung more and won't involve harming the bees. His eyes flick over to where she is and he does a quick calculation. Probably not a far enough distance to confuse the bees...

"Move farther away from me. Just within sight range."

He should be able to make that jump and still function after.

"Uh... sure?" That sounds like he's got a plan, at least. So she turns and keeps running, at an angle now, getting further and further away from him.

She finally turns to check that she can still see him and lifts an arm to wave, still taking a few more steps back. "That good enough?"

"Good."

And a moment later he simply vanishes. The bees wind up in a huge swarming mass of confusion. Jules himself turns up next to Erika. His head is absolutely splitting, but at least he's not getting chased by bees anymore. Well, at least as long as he can manage the increased pain running away is going to cause his head.
