Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.

And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.

[The moment he hears Arydn's warp, Ignis lets lightning spring to life around his blades, ever grateful that his elemental binding abilities have remained intact even with Noctis being gone. Using the Stormbind's ability to pull him from one place to another makes getting from where he stands to the fight much easier than it would have been otherwise. Instead of having to stumble his way forward, he smoothly follows after Ardyn, striking quickly before shifting back to avoid what sounds like a horn being swung his way.]

[Prompto seemed to be the least magical, but it had always been that way. Knowing that he had such a limited supply of shots, he looked for an opening where no one would suddenly warp in front of him.

When Ignis shifted back he trotted over to stand by him, an extra bounce in his step. The not-a-moose-not-a-duplicorn reared up, and as it reached a height far above any of them he took a shot at its neck, just below the chin.]

[It was easy enough to track Ignis and Prompto's motions; he phased back in the same afterimage at Prompto's shot, following it up with another sword strike in hope of catching it in the neck on the way down. Just beheading the damn thing sounded a better idea than playing chaperone in a fight that might have gone on a bit too long.]

[Ignis is about to dash in to see if he can gut the creature before it comes back down from its rearing, but pauses as he hears it let out a cut off bellow and then smells blood and hears a great deal of it hit the snow. Unconsciously, he moves backward several steps to keep anything from falling on him before he calls out to the others.]

Status!

[He assumes the hits were all to the creature, but he's not planning his next move until he knows that for certain.]

[That was quick. Prompto stayed on guard for a moment, but when it was clear the creature wasn't getting back up he lowered his gun.]

I'm fine.

[The snow crunched next to him as he stepped by Ignis.]

...It's pretty big. Think we can carry all of this?

Stand down, it's dead.

[The Blade of the Mystic vanished in a flash of crystal, Ardyn shrugging his shoulders.]

And I'm quite a bit stronger than you might think, dear Prompto. I think we can manage between the three of us.

['It's pretty big,' still tells Ignis almost nothing about the creature they just killed, so as soon as both Ardyn and Prompto let him know everything is okay, he dismisses his blades and--with a bit of extra effort considering he's still wearing Ardyn's coat--maneuvers his throwing dagger from its hidden sheath. It doesn't take long to orient himself to where the creature's body fell. After all, big animals make a big sound when they hit the snow. After a few moments of running his hands over the creature's hide and tapping it with the end of the dagger, he snaps his fingers and grins at the others.]

That's it! I've come up with a new recipe!

[ ...

Oh, come on. Like no one saw that coming!]

...

[Deadpan:] Carry it yourselves, I'm going back on my own.

[And yet he made no move to leave, almost like that was...possibly, a joke.]

Oh man, that's the best thing I've heard all day!

[He will never tire of hearing that, Iggy, because it meant food for him. The fastest way to a boy's heart was through his stomach.

But the threat of not tasting new recipehs was almost too much to bear. He swiveled towards Ardyn with desperation in his eyes.]

What?! You can't just leave this here! It'll go to waste!

Easy, Prompto. He's just joking. If he wasn't, he'd have warped himself halfway back to the mana pool already. Of course...

[He suddenly turns a mischievous grin in Ardyn's direction.]

...perhaps you're just worried about the fate of your coat should it be left in my possession.

[Gasp! Ardyn might actually have to come and visit to get it back. How terrible would that be?]

It will take some time to break this down properly, but it will be well worth the effort. Is there a place nearby where we can get out of the wind?

[There was practically an audible eyeroll to that.]

That coat has seen far worse than a little blood and you damn well know it.

[He glanced around, but what he saw was a lot of snow.]

...We haven't found those huts yet. But, maybe we can set up camp and cook it? I guess we'll have to do something with it, we can't just carry it forever.

[He narrowed his eyes at Ardyn.]

Come'on. Even you have to like Iggy's cooking.

Oh, it's not blood I'm worried about.

[Then what...? Actually, it's probably better not to ask. He's just teasing anyway and asking him to get to creative is just asking for trouble.]

Cooking isn't our only option. Need I remind you, Prompto, that we are in the middle of a natural freezer? If we can find a protected area, we can bury and freeze it until the huts are found. At that point, we can move it straight there.

[Prompto's comment to Ardyn causes a small smirk to curl the corner of Ignis' mouth. There is a moment where he's tempted to answer that with the right accessories, Ardyn's quite fond of his cooking, but in the end he stays quiet, and instead starts to measure the creature out by hand so he can get a more accurate mental image of just how big it really is.]

I'll thank you to mind your own business regarding my taste or lack thereof.

[whatever he couldn't care less about all this]

Wait, we're seriously going to bury it? I guess we could mark it somehow.

[He shot Ardyn a look and was about to comment on him 'having no taste', just to be snippy, but he quickly realized that that could actually be an insult towards Iggy and bit his tongue.]

...Fine, if you don't want any, that'll leave more for me.

Yes, I am quite serious about burying it and then marking the location. Unless you really wish to drag this much meat around while we try to find the huts however long that may take.

[Ignis finishes his measuring and then turns to give them each a look.]

Now, I'm going to warn you only once. If you two leave me to butcher this thing alone, it will not be the only thing I'm burying.

[Aka: Stop with the snipping at each other and help him.]
